Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Task: The goal of this warriors and older only event is that the participating individuals must steal any egg from one of three nests they may come across in the territory. These nests are located higher in the territory and present to the dangers that the upper parts of the mountain presents. So not only must you still an egg from the nest of a bird of prey, you must bring it back to camp undamaged. You you be able to manage that in the rough terrain of the territory? Be advised, camp is under all of these nests, so you must travel down the mountain with your precious cargo. First one home with their prize is declared the winner! You can form teams or go this alone, the choice is up to you.
Prize: bragging rights and one favor of the Blessed (staff) to be used within reason
Wintrystar called the whole of the clan to the entrance to camp. They were placed on the inside, the world of snow and cold at the Sovereign's back as she addressed the clan. "May those of age, who wish to participate in our final challenge of the Festival, step forward. Be warned, this challenge is dangerous, these birds are killers and have taken many of clan's lives. Besides that, the territory you will be scourging is dangerous and will not be easy to navigate on the way back with your previous cargo." She paused here, eyeing the cats of the clan in a sweeping motion before continuing on. "To the far west, lies the nest of the Eagle, fierce and not easily accessed. They have made their home just above Lover's Peak, and getting to them will be no simple task. Nor will the Falcon's nest at the Jagged Falls. This bird has made it's home on the rocky west side of the falls, in a crevice just below the top most of the falls. You will need to climb down a space to get to this nest. Careful in where you step, least you fall to your death. And the final one, the Hawk's nest. It has taken home in the East, near our old camp. The ground there is not stable from the blizzard that destroyed the land and the nest is not so easily located. In truth, none have yet to set it's sights on the nest for how fiercely the parents have protected it."
Here she stopped, waiting to see how the clan would react. This was no easy task, by any means. But in the end, it would be filled with honor, bravery, and the rush of excitement that came with facing such a strong opponent. Nonetheless, there's the added bonus of one less of each of the birds to fight for territory against later in life. Many cats in WinterClan over the years had fallen due to the swift claws of the birds of prey, and to eleminate three potential enemies so quickly would be a feet never accomplished before. "You have been made aware of the dangers that lie ahead, the task set before you and you willingly chose this task? If you will take this one, then step forward! May the Gods find favor in your bravery and courage and guide your paws with swiftness to your prize!"
Snakefang sat away from the gathered crowd wasn't, listening to what Winteystar had to say. The tom wasn't interested, in any way, in this event or the festival in general really, but he still made an appearance. Hearing the details, he weighed the risk and rewards and found that it wasn't worth any of the trouble. Besides, he wasn't any good with trees and heights. And even if he did return successfully by some miracle, what would the reward be? A pat on the back? A personal den of his choosing?
Turning toward his mate, Blazingbluejay, he asked, "Are you going to participate in this....terrible idea? It seems like something you'd do well at."

"This doesn't sound bad at all." Blackthornfate stretched out from her spot next to Smokesignal. Really, it didn't sound like a good idea. Pissing off birds and potentially endangering themselves for this thrill wasn't great. But Blackthornfate was competitive and wanted to win whatever the prize was. Straightening herself up, she gave her arranged mate a cheeky grin. "Used to do worse in these mountains. What are you even gonna do?"
