Fawnheart hurled herself into camp, excitement clouding her judgement. Plants were beginning to bud and she had managed to find fresh spring herbs. She was stopped dead in her tracks as she crashed into something soft and furry, her herbs scattering on the ground. Rubbing her head she turned to see whom she had just barrelled into. She warmed under her fur in embarrassment when she realized it was Goldengriffon. "Oh my...Goldengriffon! I'm so sorry, your not hurt are you?" Her eyes rounded as she scanned the tom for any obvious injuries.

Goldengriffon had been... tired. He wasn’t fully aware how tiring his deputy position was until Jetstar had become ill. The pale tabby had taken over the leader’s responsibilities on top of his own. He hardly managed to get any rest at all. Not that he was complaining of course, he would never! But then there was also... Dancingdragon. Something strange had gotten into his mate. She’d be overly affectionate one day but then ready to rip him to shreds the next. Was it something he had done? Goldengriffon had just been too tired to figure it out. Maybe that’s why he had wandered into Fawnheart’s den. He couldn’t remember. All he knew was that it was empty and quiet... the perfect place for a rest... and that’s just what he did.
The deputy hadn’t even been aware that he had fallen asleep on his paws until the medicine cat bumped into him. Goldengriffon awoke with a start, his head shooting up and his tired blue eyes searching the den frantically. “Hmm...?! What...! Oh... Fawnheart...” He said with a yawn as he rubbed his eyes. “Good morning... what are you doing in the warriors den?”
A confused expression crossed her face but then was instantly replaced with a sympathetic smile. "This isn't the warrior's den, Goldengriffon. This is my den." She let out a purr as she gathered up her scattered herbs. "Although, if you need a quiet place to rest, my den is always open to you. Or, perhaps I could mix you up a little something to give you some well needed energy. It looks like you could use it."

Goldengriffon stared after her for a moment before he shook his head. He quickly blinked the sleep from his eyes before looking around. "R-Right of course..." The deputy said with a small, sheepish chuckle. "My apologies... I had not realized how tired I was." The pale tabby admitted as he sat down.
"I'm fine, though." Goldengriffon said. "I think... I doubt I'm the first deputy to go through this. I certainly won't be the last. There was a reason I came here but... I can't remember exactly what that was.."
"Your under too much pressure, Goldengriffon. May I offer a massage? That should ease your tension." Fawnheart offered, sweetly. "I can rub in some lavender oil and mint oil to help your muscles relax."

The tabby flicked his ears as he craned his neck. His muscles did feel rather sore...
"Well... the clan doesn't seem to need anything right now..." Goldengriffon murmured as he glanced briefly outside the medicine cat's den. The clan was buzzing about, but everyone knew what they were doing. "There is a lot of tension in my neck... I'm not sure what I've done to it..." He explained as he made his way towards one of the empty nests
"No worries. Stress can cause a lot of these symptoms. Pain in the neck, back, tail. Don't you fret, though. I will have you fixed up in no time." She replied with a voice as soothing as honey on a sore throat. As Goldengriffon got comfortable, Fawnheart chewed up the herbs into a very fine poultice and covered her paws with it. She began rubbing it into Goldengriffon's scruff, making sure to get it deep into the muscle. Each time, making Goldengriffon's extra skin around his neck bunch up into rolls.
Dancingdragon was a...stubborn cat. She was loathe to admit when she needed aid, such as during her bouts of morning sickness, and it was making her particularly testy on top of her already combative nature. The ivory Trusted was lumbering back into camp after having to end her patrol early, hoping at least to have a nice snuggle with her mate to make her feel better and maybe she would even rub his paws between the pads just the way he liked it to make up for how difficult she'd been lately (which she still REFUSED to explain why), but all the guilt she might have possibly felt about that was erased in one. fell. swoop. All she saw was HER mate getting felt up by THE MEDICINE CAT?!
"EXXXXCUSSSE ME?!? Um, why don't you find your own mate to put your paws all over, you two-bit, herb-gathering, too-nice foxheart," she snarled, leaping into immediate action and digging her teeth into Fawnheart's scruff. Honestly, she had nothing against the medicine cat and Fawnheart was one of the few cats she respected in the clan, and Dancingdragon might have been more understanding if it wasn't for her raging hormones.... No, she wouldn't be. Not at all. "THIS. ONE. IS. TAKEN." Every word was punctuated by a swat of her paws against the other she-cat, unrestrained and out for blood.
Luckily, Fawnheart's mentor had taught her to fight long ago in case she ever found herself in the midst of battle, though...this wasn't exactly what she had in mind and she was sure her mentor didn't either. Fawnheart batted the belly of Dancingdragon with her back claws in an attempt to get the other feline off of her. "Get off of me, Dancingdragon! This isn't what it looks like!"
Dancingdragon recoiled as her belly was exposed, too enraged to bother listening to the adulterous villain, and then turned her sights on her unsuspecting mate, taking him by the scruff and shaking him like a ragdoll. "AND YOU!! I SHOULD KILL YOU RIGHT NOW FOR THIS! AFTER ALL THIS TIME, THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME, YOU CROWFOOD-EATING, UNTRUSTWORTHY WOMANIZER!"

Goldengriffon felt his entire body relax the moment that he laid down. He hadn't realized how sore his paws were until that very moment and flexed them just a bit in an effort to stretch them out. The moment lavender and mint hit his senses the deputy was quickly lulled into a soft slumber. It was perfect. A soft purr rumbled in his throat as the tension in his neck was released, and the pale tabby was ready to fall asleep then and there. Until he was suddenly picked up by his raging mate.
The deputy let out a startled yowl as he quickly scrambled to his paws, his few moments of relaxation vanishing in an instant. "Dancingdragon!" He spluttered as he tried to free himself from her jaws. "What has gotten into you?! What are you talking about?!" He asked quickly, managing to pull his scruff out of her mouth though he did leave a few pieces of fur behind in the process. Womanizer? Untrustworthy? Goldengriffon tilted his head to the side, his blue eyes holding nothing but confusion as he looked at his mate. "Dancingdragon- did you attack Fawnheart?!" He stuttered as he finally noticed the state of the two
While Dancingdragon was distracted attacking her mate, Fawnheart quickly scrambled to her paws and dipped a claw into a paralysis poison that Brakewing's shared with her and stuck her claw deep into Dancingdragon's skin.
"HOW DARE YOU GET ME TO COnFesS LOve to you and you go off and...and betray me." Her rage curbed the effects of the paralysis for as long as it could, but eventually she had no choice but to succumb. Her words began to slur and the energy bled out of Dancingdragon, who slumped to the ground but Her snarls never ceased.
Fawnheart took a breath of relief as the crazed pregnant she-cat laid twitching on the medicine cat den floor, her eyes still glaring. She wiped the sweat from her brow before going over to her pool and washing the poison off her paw. "She will be down for about an hour. The twitching will cease. Her muscles are currently relaxing which causes the twitch but that will only last a few moments longer. You can take her to the warriors den if you'd like or I can keep her here until the paralysis wears off." She mewed to Goldengriffon before turning away from her pool and joining him at Dancingdragon's side. "I can give you some poppy seeds or lavender, as well, to calm her nerves for later."
