Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Despite having only one eye, Ratstar liked to think of himself as quite perceptive, though it didn't take a particularly observant cat to notice how Chimeramask tended to follow after Devotedcrow like a baby duckling half of the time. It was honestly quite amusing for the leader to watch, considering that Crow really wasn't that much older than the other warrior; maybe a few moons at most. However, possibly because of his fondness for both young toms it was also easy to notice how lonesome Chimeramask seemed to be while Crow was busy for the majority of the day caring for his mate, his mate's sister, and his kits. Seeing the young warrior sulking alone by himself...yeah, it really wasn't difficult to pull on the leader's heartstrings. Which led to that very morning, where when the Summerclan leader was announcing the patrols for the day: "And Chimeramask's gonna be on huntin' patrol with me in the Deep Lands. A'ight folks, let's get some hustle on!" Nova

Chimeramask liked to consider himself a confident tomcat. He was outspoken, boisterous, downright fun if he wanted to be. But he was all of that around Devotedcrow and his family. When his adoptive father was busy, and his little siblings nowhere to be seen, Chimeramask fell silent. This was one of those times. Devotedcrow was nowhere to be found and so the tortoiseshell warrior had stayed toward the back of the large gathering of Summerclan cats. Chimeramask had leaned down to scratch at an itch behind his ear when Ratstar said that the young warrior would accompany him on a patrol.
Chimermask had shot right up, green eyes wide. He quickly scrambled to his paws and hurried over to Ratstar, sliding to a stop in front of him. "Chimeramask r-reporting for duty, sir!" He said quickly throwing his paw to his head in a salute.
Ratstar let out a snort of amusement at the other tom's enthusiasm as he scuttled over. "At ease, kiddo," he purred playfully in response, bending forward to stretch out his back, and letting out a wide yawn. The leader could've sworn he had that sort of youthful energy at some point in his life, no idea where it went, though. Padding past Chimeramask across the camp, he gestured with his tail for his companion to follow him. "It's a perfect day fer a good hunt," he remarked, glancing upwards at a bright, blue sky covered in fluffy, billowing white clouds. "Where d' ya think we should start? Up by the waterfall, down along the river, o' closer t' the meadows?"

Chimeramask nodded quickly as he put his paw down. He quickly stumbled after Ratstar, wondering why the leader had decided to ask him to join him out of all cats. But the tortoiseshell knew better than to question their leader. The young tom twitched his ears as he followed the leader, tilting his head to the side at the question of where to hunt.
“Well, sir,” The tom began. “I guess it depends on where the prey is gonna be, right? Or, maybe what you’re in the mood for. If you’re feeling seafood we can head to the river! Waterfall might be too loud could scare all the prey away. But there’s always a lot of prey in the meadows. ‘Specially rabbits... I could go for a nice juicy rabbit right about now, it would definitely hit the spot in all the right ways”
"The meadow it is," Ratstar announced with a chuckle, glancing over his shoulder at his companion with a broad grin as they padded through the Deep Lands. It was certainly a good day for hunting; a bit on the overcast side, but not too chilly, either. Sprouts of green peaked out of all sorts of places underneath and behind the old, dead foliage, and would soon overtake the entire forest in a wave of bright green life. A good ol' Newleaf day. "Would ya say rabbit's ya favorite prey, Chimeramask? Can't say I disagree with ya; rabbit's a delicacy compared t' what ya normally find in twolegplace; it's basically everything twolegplace ain't."

“Its a million times better than that dry kibble stuff they have at two leg place.” Chimeramask said. His lip curled at the memory of it, and the tortoiseshell found himself smacking his lips. It was almost as if he could still taste the dry stuff again. Instead he shook his head before looking back up at Ratstar.
“Rabbit is one of the first animals I managed to catch on my own after Devotedcrow taught me and my sister how to hunt. Gosh... I was so proud, I couldn’t stop boasting about it! Daisy, my sister, was definitely jealous behind that happy smile”
(GidgetGal I’m so sorry I totally thought I responded to this T^T)
The Leader couldn't help but smile, even when facing away from the young warrior, as he listened to Chimeramask talk about Devotedcrow. From what he had learned, his Deputy had practically raised the other tom, despite not being much older himself. But it wasn't the mention of Devotedcrow that he took note of. "Daisy's ya sister in Sunclan, right?" he asked, having heard the name in passing, but had never personally met the she-cat. "Do ya miss her? Must be tough, I'd think; with how picky Sunclan is 'bout visitors."
