This was the best decision Fawnhysteria ever made. He got out of Sunclan at the right time, and now he got to spend his days lazing in the sun. Stretching out on a large rock until his spine popped, he let out a yawn and curled back into his ball. Some part of his mind nagged at him that he was forgetting something, but he didn't want to listen to it today. The warm rock made the healing gash on the back of one of his legs flinch, a burn he was happily used to in his new home. Granted it was only Dovegarden, but maybe one day, he could find someone else to rough him up too. The thought made his heart jump to his throat.
"How'd you get that scar, handsome?" Satinshore was nothing if not subtle, the pretty garden keeper lowering herself into a lounge next to him as she continued to ignore her responsibilities. They weren't as interesting as this tom seemed to be, between his patchwork pelt and fragmented gaze, and she was sure Ratstar wouldn't mind her shirking her work to pursue what could be (but probably wasn't) her true love. He was a hopeless romantic, after all. Even if he wasn't, Satinshore marched to the beat of her own drum and had yet to accept that all her bad habits from her cushy, kittypet lifestyle weren't acceptable now that she was a member of a clan. "I bet it has an exciting story behind it," she hedged and batted her eyes at him.

ignore that i forgot about this thread for a month
Fawnhysteria rolled over as soon as he heard someone's voice, patchwork pelt sticking up in different directions. He blinked at the new cat in confusion, letting it take a few moments to sink in that he wasn't in some trouble for shirking work. Summerclan was a lot different than Sunclan. At the thought, he lowered himself back down next to her slowly, like he was controlled by the aching hands of a puppeteer. But just like back then, he was completely oblivious to the flirtatious gaze of the cat next to him. "Oh which one?" Pulling back a few strands of hair would reveal more, speaking the tale of a masochist. Not that Satinshore knew that. He opened his mouth to say, but then quickly closed it. He probably shouldn't rat out Dovegarden, he really didn't want her to be locked up or something like that. "I- uh, got it in a fight. With a bear." He was a bad liar.
Sure, he might have been a bad liar, but Satinshore was chronically, incurably oblivious. The fib passed right over her head. Instead, she gasped in amazement at the myriad of marks scattering his skin. "Wow! How strong~ A bear?" She'd never come across one herself, but she'd heard that they were big, super furry, and mean as heck, but she figured she must not have a reason to worry if such a strong, fearless tom was living in SummerClan now. "Did you kill it?"

Fawnhysteria couldn't help his eyes from widening when Satinshore believed his lie. Really, where did he even come up with that? He hadn't even seen a bear either. It wasn't like they were common, just the kind of thing that could mess up your life like once every ten years. Some small statistic like that. But now Fawn was in a corner. He couldn't just admit he lied to a clanmate, right? What would everyone else think? "Uh. Yep. Totally killed that bear. Did not stand a chance. It - uh. Fell. Down a waterfall."
"Wooow," she swooned again, rolling onto her back to gaze at him as though he were an angel delivered directly from the heavens, the sun framing him perfectly from this angle. "So strong and brave. I bet you must make your very real mate feel so protected, with how common of a threat bears are out here and all..."

"Oh. Uh." Fawnhysteria blanked again. Okay, he couldn't lie his way out of that. He couldn't hide some mate in the clan. And he already knew what people would say if he said they were in some other clan. Just deny their existence. Fawnhysteria rubbed the back of his head clumsily, stretching his paw against his own bones. "I... uh, am still single. Right now."
"Oh?" She feigned innocence. "I don't see how that is, but, you know, I'm also single. Right now." Of course, it would be very unladylike to go any further than that, so Satinshore just let her oceanic eyes drift elsewhere, though she did sneak conspicuous glances at his face.

Was. Was he supposed to do something? Was it like in Sunclan where the leader hooked the warriors up in hopes of a new generation. No one had mentioned such a thing, but no one did in Sun either. Besides, those were normally dates. Unless he stumbled upon his date. A very, low budget date. But he could see Ratstar coming up with something like this. "Uh. You wanna go on a walk or something?"
