Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
CONTEXT : THERE WAS A MISHAP IN THE NURSERY. Someone - looking at you, Berrykit and Crystalkit - has unleashed a plague of spiders onto NightClan. It started with a small nursery infestation of tarantulas, and Violetglass thought it was taken care of, as the spider hole was plugged up. For a few days, it seemed to work. Then, after a few nights, it suddenly was not working. That's where this thread comes in. Currently, all of NightClan has been evacuated from camp because the tarantula problem got... a little too intense (in my head theres like thirteen thousand spiders but that's a lil unrealistic, so just imagine there's as many as you think is possible LOL) for small kits to be running around and potentially getting seriously injured by a spider. The creepy crawlies are everywhere in camp, and now NightClan must strategize how to exterminate the issue.
"If we have to be here more than an hour, I'm okay with sacrificing the two of them to appease the Spider Gods," meowed the tom as he glanced over to the kittens who sheepishly stood at the edge of the clearing that NightClan has gathered under. "I don't even know why we're here. Surely, we coulda handled it without moving." Rustspiral shifted his weight in between his paws. He'd healed mostly from his concussion from the last creature he tried to fight, but he was already rearing to go for round two.
Aspenstar flicked her ear in annoyance. "Trust me, I'm not thrilled about this either." Her voice was annoyed at best. It had been a rather snap decision to get them out of camp as quickly as possible. Of course, maybe there wasn't as much of a risk as she said there was. She just really didn't want to deal with spiders coming through her nest. She had terrible arachnophobia, and she was ready to kill both of the kits herself. Still, she tried to be as level as she could. "There were enough of them that we needed the kittens out of the way, big enough ones too. If the kits are out of camp, I needed as much protection for them as possible as we moved them." Maybe she could have done it with just the queens, but hey. They were here now. "Plus, being away from camp gives us all a chance to ... strategize how to get rid of our .... problem." She shuddered at the thought of it, before offering a sideways glance of her own to the kittens.
"We didn't mean it!" chirped Berrykit as she nervously shifted. "We didn't know!"
"Strategize?" Floodfate arched a brow. "Let's just send in a hunting patrol. Free fresh kill."
There may be more than enough spiders to rival the small tom's mass, but he was undaunted. They were just tiny insects, and they weren't a threatening enemy; they just needed to get in there and start biting. Not getting bit themselves would be a little tricky, but so what if one or two cats got a sore foot? They would be fine in the end.

"They're just spiders. We'd have cobwebs for eternity." Cana commented, looking frankly unconcerned with the arachnid takeover. Not that anyone would be surprised, the clan medicine cat was always eerily far too okay with whatever had been going on. The black eyed feline sat back, pawing lazily at her ear as she watched Aspenstar.
"I still don't understand why we had to move," Crystalkit complained. "I mean, what's the deal with a few thousand tarantulas? They were always there, they're just a little more, um, visible now!"
Violetglass twitched. "I'm going to punt you into a hill."

"Why don't we get a large log and have several cats roll it around inside the Cenote?" Greypine suggested. "We could squish several spiders at once doing that."
Eaglefeather nodded in agreement as Greypine spoke. "I'd be willing to help with that," he meowed. Tinyspots took two steps back and shook her head. She wasn't too thrilled about tackling the spider problem at all.
Maplevow was bitter over the fact that he had to abandon the comfort of his nest. He stated down at the two problem children. “Maybe we should take notes from Sunclan about sacrificing to gods. Or better idea go find one of the sun freaks and have them create fire out of thin air and burn our camp and the crawly spawn that have over ran it to the ground. Since they seem to be rather good at creating destruction and fire for no reason.” He meowed rather bitterly about the situation.
Duskveil could feel a headache starting to grow in the back of her head. She didn’t know what was worse the fact that two kittens had manage to unleashed thousands of spider into the camp. Or the fact that they had to temporarily abandon the cenote to the spiders. “First does anyone know if the spiders are venomous?” She asked interrupting the Warriors’ plan about rolling a log. “Also how in Starclan’s name did you manage to even get the spiders into camp.” The deputy turned on the two kittens in question.
