Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was an interesting life, having to grow up as the Shaman’s daughter. Elara even more so, due to her... well what they called ‘disability’. The feline sat now, her almost-sightless gaze staring forward. She was placed right outside of the den, having reached the age that she would soon be more than a simple -Chan. She was unsure what her life would be like once that time came. If she was not picked as mage by her mother, Xithymia, she didn’t know what use she would be of the league. In a sense, her life somewhat relied on it. Heavy thoughts for such a young feline.
Zalaph-chan was young. And more than that, she was in just about the worst place for a coward to be... The League. There was a constant feeling of dread in her heart that she would die any day now. But these cats sensed weakness, and as such, the she-cat had her own sort of defense mechanism. Lying. For how young she was, she was startlingly good at it too, masking her feelings and being quick in thought to come up with something convincing to say, though it very rarely lined up with the truth of things.
It was coincidence that she ended up seeing Elara. Part of her thought it might be nice to go up to her, she'd heard the she-cat was blind, or near to it, and she wondered if she might make a friend with the she-cat who would have as hard a time being accepted as she. The more reasonable and terrified portion told her that approaching was insanity. This was Vera's kin, and potentially in line for mage. Disability or not, what would she want with a youngling like her? More than that, any relation with a cat of Vera blood would only serve to get her killed that much quicker.
So, what did she do? She approached of course, her paws churning on automatic as if they didn't care about her thoughts. A relation with a potential mage was as beneficial as staying under the radar, if she managed it. "Hello, Elara-chan." Zalaph greeted simply, nodding to the Shaman's daughter slightly as she stopped in front of the she-cat.
Her ears flicked, and soon Elara-Chan had turned her mostly-sightless gaze to the feline. ”Hello.” Her greeting came out as mostly a mumble, a bit uninterested. She had so much more to worry about. Why would this cat bother her right now? Though it was easy for her to hide her frustrations and impatience, luckily. Her face a rather void expression upon it.
