Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"SHE'S NOT THE LEGITIMATE PRIESTESS! SHE'S NOT THE LEGITIMATE PRIESTESS!" A small, recently promoted 'promoted' Butterscotchpaw shouted those words of protest at the top of her lungs in the middle of the night right at the mouth of Littlestar's den. And she thinks 'promoted' because Littlestar had no authority to promote her. Bloodystar was the real High Priest, so only he could actually promote her, not whoever the Littlestar was. It frustrated the ginger and white she-cat to no end, and it angered her that none of her siblings stood up for their dad like she did. But true justice laughs in the face of challenges! The little she-cat knew she was in the right, and that Bloodystar was wrongfully usurped from his role. "YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT THAN THE SAVAGES IN MOONCLAN! YOU'RE JUST A CROW WE NEED TO CHASE OUT! CROWBEAK! CROWHEART!" And so the chanting continued with all sorts of swears and insults that will not be written.

Littlestar was exhausted, the traveling, the fighting, and now the thoughts that she wrestled with. She had been convinced to stay, though she longed to leave. There had been little doubt that some cats within the clan would be unhappy about her return, but the most outspoken had to be Butterscotchpaw. The you she-cat had been furious, loudly protesting her reluctant ascension back to High Priestess. Day in and day out she would shout to anyone that would listen to her protests, and Littlestar had allowed her to, making no move to quieten or try and stop her. She was entitled to her opinion, and there were other ways to change someone’s mind than force. Yet the yowling continued until even at night she kept her clan-mates awake.
Slowly Littlestar rose to her weary paws standing in the entrance watching as the she-marched back and forth “ I admire your dedication to your father” she mewed softly ”but your clan-mates are trying to sleep. It would be wiser to shout your beliefs when you have cats awake to hear them” she strode past the apprentice, moving down the descending path “come, your problem is with me, not them. You can speak all of the things on your mind until your heart is content”
At last, all of her protesting had worked! The she-cat puffed out her chest as Littlestar strode forward, ready to announce her resignat--- what. No. Damn it. Her ears flattened as she get ready to keep up her rants. "I don't care about them getting sleep. They should be losing sleep over their High Priest getting replaced by some rando outta nowhere. They shouldn't just be sleeping while some heathen runs our Clan!" Buttterscotchpaw's words were laced with the most toxic of Foxbane's venoms, but underneath that was something the apprentice didn't understand: grief. Grief that her father had been exiled, and that he was perhaps the villain all along. Her mind could not tolerate such a reality under any circumstance.

If the apprentice's harsh words hurt, Littlestar didn't show it. It was nothing compared to the wounds she left on her own mind "It's a shame really, caring for your clan-mates should be one of the first lessons that you learn as an apprentice if SunClan. Perhaps I will speak with your mentor later" her steps didn't falter though, her words intentionally baiting the young she-cat into following her with demanding that she did so. She would, or she wouldn't. Either way in the end it would matter little.
"But I do care about my Clanmates! I care about them more than you ever would! I don't want them to follow some random she-cat with a moon carved in her head!" Butterscotchpaw didn't flinch at the thought of Littlestar talking to her mentor. She knew that nothing would happen. Everyone would see that Littlestar betrayed everyone, and then she could get her dad back! "Bloodystar is the best leader SunClan has ever seen, and he would still be guiding us in the Sun God's light if you didn't get in the way!"
