Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The impact knocked the breath from her chest, her lungs wracking with the effort to breath. Her pale blue eyes watered with the effort of standing up, knowing full and well that the lumbering creature would be on her if she waited a moment longer. Scrambling, she stumbled into a run. Her paws flinging clumsily as she shot up the bark of a tree. Ignoring the throbbing pain in her paw as one of her claws was pulled out, she desperately clung to a low hanging branch. Sticky liquid spotted the brown bark. But her eyes were fixed on the bushes before her, as it exploded and revealed a dog with a lolling tongue. It wasn't large - but it wasn't small, either. Its eyes were beady and its breath could be smelled from here. Amaryllissky choked back a cough as she caught her breath, watching the disgusting creature circle her hiding place. It stared up at her hungrily. Was she going to be stuck here? Would it just go away?
Eternalfire heard the heavy pawsteps of the dog chasing Amaryllissky while he was out hunting. He immediately dropped his hunt and took off after the dog, when it came into view it was staring up at the tree where Amaryllissky was hiding, with a furious growl Eternalfire flung himself onto the dog, biting down hard on its ear and raking his claws down its back.
She bristled in surprise as the tom burst from the undergrowth, flinging himself onto the dog and attacking it. With a gasp of relief and renewed vigor, she scrambled down the trunk of the tree. Amaryllissky hissed at it, her spine arcing as she struck out at its muzzle. It cried out in surprise and pain at the sudden barrage of attacking felines, giving the she-cat a sense of satisfaction for her previous terror.
Leaping off of the dog Eternalfire attacked the dogs hindquarters, biting down hard on its tail, feeling the bone crunch slightly. He heard the dog howl in pain and the next thing he knew he was flung a few feet away from the dog and Amaryllissky. Winded, he took a few gasping breaths before rising to his paws and barreling back into the dog's side.
