Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Alright," Cradlegrave said, clearing his throat to rid of his voice of the rough edge that had accumulated after a night of barely any sleep. He looked out over at the Clan that was now his to lead, watching as they whispered amongst themselves. Oh hell, he thought, I've really gotten myself into trouble this time.
"So," he began, "some of you may've noticed that Beestar ain't leader anymore, which makes me the leader, which means I'm supposed to travel to the...creek thing and get my nine lives and leader name, or whatever Firetooth was sayin'. But uh, I decided against gettin' them, cuz....well, I was born Cradlegrave and I'll be Cradlegrave until the day I die. Which may be soon, given that I'm only gettin' one-ninth as much life as the average Clan leader. Uhh." He paused, trying to gauge the reaction from the crowd. Was he doing a lot of talking? It felt like he was. Better just to wrap things up quickly. "Besides, I don't think I'm sold on the whole StarClan thing yet. Also, today is movin' day! We leave in ten minutes. Everybody start packin'."
Peachblush frowned from his position amongst the crowd. "Wait, what was that about not getting your lives?" he called out. "Because I just came from a Clan that denounced StarClan, and let me tell you, I don't think things are going that great for them right now."
that's right folks they're finally moving out of their lovely ditch home
this is a moving thread, but feel free to reply with mostly anything! cats arguing with cradlegrave about essentially denouncing starclan, cats arguing with those cats, cats getting sentimental about the ditch for some reason, cats wondering where the heck they're going, cats celebrating the fact that there probably won't be any more violent chimp attacks, cats going i want beestar back, cats going i want chim back, its all good in a while i'll put up a okay here now we've arrived thread aka whenever i feel like this one's done xD

Heavypetal watched as Cradlegrave called to the cats that shared his home, his eyes alight with curiosity, though his face would betray no emotion. He had a sense of camaraderie for the other tom, feeling a sincere connection to the idea of simply being oneself, and only oneself til the end. It wasnt like any of the other groups were begging the cats of Swiftclan to settle in with them either, so he couldnt imagine that anyone else would care, and even then, if they werent an aide to Swidtclan, their opinion didnt matter in the large tabbys' mind. Though he would miss his first permanent home, he understood the nomadic lifestyle was something he needed to get used to, and so he would help those in need during their journey as much as possible.

Limekit watched from the nursery, running up to sit at Peachblush's side as he heard Cradlegrave call out, "Are we really moving dad? How far are we going? Do we have to walk the whooooole way?" he chirped, his tail bristled with excitement. He wasnt even an apprentice yet and the little tom was already able to journey outside of the camp.

Plumkit followed closely behind her brother, Limekit, just as many questions on her mind as excitement rushed through her. "What happens if we don't follow Starclan anymore? What if something happens to Cradlegrave?" She had been told stories and traditions but nothing was matching up to what she just heard. The tiny calico's body was practically vibrating with excitement at the opportunity to go somewhere new.
"It's about time we got out of this ditch," Swiftriver grumbled. "The other clans were cool 'n all, but I'm done with visiting. I wonder if Princecharming is casting another play? We could try out," She suggested, nudging Pineapplebreeze. She was joking.... mostly... joining the performance once was more than enough for her.
If anyone thought Swiftclan's Medicine Cat had anything to say about this whole situation, they were sorely mistaken for once. Firetooth sat dutifully in front of the cave that could barely be called a Medicine Cat Den, watching Cradlegrave intently. He had spent the majority of the past night talking with the new leader about the details of the leader's lives ceremony. Honestly the former loner's decision didn't surprise him in the least; with the discovery of his newfound feelings for Jetfire, he himself had been second-guessing just how 'all-knowing and all-powerful' their ancestors really were. Obviously he still owed a great deal to Lightningswift, Phoenixstar, and Creekghost, but they were family, and had never tried to dictate how Swiftclan should live like the rest of Starclan had.
Tinybreath frowned slightly, musing over Cradlegrave's words. She wouldn't argue with his choice, but she felt a bit uneasy about it. Perhaps it was because if it weren't for the lives of Starclan, she would've grown up without a mother. Shaking off whatever misgivings she had, the petite she-cat turned-tail and began searching the crowd for her new apprentice Buckwheatpaw.
"Awesome! Let's get outta here!" As always, Sliprabbit was the poster child of blissful optimism; the fluffy silver she-cat not even seeming to notice or acknowledge Cradlegrave's lack of lives, and instead bounding over to the warriors' den, waiting for some of her relatives to make their way over to travel with as a group.
"Limekit! Peachkit!" Mountainkit barreled out of the nursery to follow his friends, having completely tuned out most of the new leader's announcement other than the moving part. The rest seemed kinda boring anyway. "Are you guys excited?! We finally get to leave this...how did Dad put it? Oh, right! This dirty old pit that isn't worth the prey that lives in it!"

"Aw, but I really liked it here..." Sparrowpaw lamented from her spot beside her brother. It was no secret that Sparrowpaw was entranced with their current location. She had even come back from one expedition with a few leaves stuck behind her ear. The apprentice refused to get rid of them though, and simply opted to walking around with the pair of leaves tucked behind her ear.
Peachblush paled as he realised he was now responsible for hauling five kittens all the way to their new territory--wherever it was--and making sure none of them died in the process. "Yes, we are really moving," he replied, answering their questions one by one, "we must be going pretty far, we do have to walk the whole way, and I'm not sure about what happens if we don't worship StarClan but I'm sure nothing will happen to Cradlegrave anyway. He has too much good luck," he muttered under his breath. No one else seemed to be pitching a fit about the possibility of moving away from StarClan, which didn't sit right with him; not that he'd been there to see it, but SwiftClan was reportedly built on the backs of remnants of WaterClan, whose ancestors were presumably up in StarClan. Would they be happy to see the direction SwiftClan was going in?
...Ah well. Not my circus, not my monkeys. It wasn't like Cradlegrave could stop him from teaching his kits about StarClan, could he?
Melonkit was also standing with his siblings. "Dirty old pit that isn't worth the prey that lives in it?" he echoed Mountainkit, cocking an eyebrow. "Why, I think that's unfair to the charms of this ditch! Just yesterday I saw a rat keel over and die right in front of me. If that isn't a glowing endorsement of our camp then I don't know what is. Can't get that experience anywhere else, I tell you." Not that he would know because he'd literally never lived anywhere else.
Buckwheatpaw couldn't help but agree with Sparrowpaw. "I liked it here too..." he whispered, gaze fixed on a spot in front of him. "Your leaves...My maze...Where does the grieving end, Sparrowpaw? WHEN DOES IT?"
Cradlegrave reappeared. "Alright, I'm all packed," he said, and started heading for the exit. "Everyone makes sure nobody gets left behind, y'all hear me?"

Sparrowpaw gently patted Buckwheatpaw's back. "There, there, it'll be okay." She said. "Why don't we make a new maze when we arrive at our new camp? That'll be fun, won't it? Of course it will!"
"Wait, we're leaving right now?" Luckywillow stared at Cradlegrave in alarm as he left. "But- we're not ready! I haven't gotten anything together yet, and some cats aren't even here!" He looked around frantically to confirm that his mentor, Shatteredshine, wasn't present. Nor was the former leader Chim.
"Need some help with them?" meowed a she-cat as she padded up. "I mean, I understand if you can handle them on your own. Or you think that I'm a bad babysitter. I do have to say my luck ain't the greatest, but you already know that." Frenzy offered a small smile, before looking at the kittens. "They're getting big," she meowed absently, although the smile didn't leave her face. Personally, she was grateful to leave this weird trauma den that she'd found herself in. There were... a lot of things that had gone sour since she'd joined SwiftClan when they first resettled. Chimps, cave ins, falling into the center of the earth... Fireflyfrenzy was more than happy to leave that all behind.
Applekit grinned at her sibling. "It was a pretty cool rat," she agreed. "But, maybe the new territory will have something even cooler than rats! Like.... um...." she shifted her weight as she thought. "Like giant squirrels that we can ride!"
Pastelchaos stretched his legs. This was the miniscule tom's favorite part about being in SwiftClan. There was something invigorating about the travel. He could see that that wasn't the case with everyone, though, and the small tom glanced to a distressed looking Luckywillow. "Innit that the perk of SwiftClan? That ya never quite know who will make the journey to the next destination?"
Buckwheatpaw bit back his tears. "Okay," he replied, giving Sparrowpaw a brave smile--although brave was probably too complimentary a word, considering the circumstances. "And we can find you some new...leaves too, I guess. Leaves the perfect size for ear-sticking."
Peachblush gave a humourless chuckle. "My cholesterol has doubled and I haven't slept in forty-seven hours," he said. Parenting had been so much easier when there'd been two of them. "I'd be glad for any help," he added, quickly enough that he could attempt to put Fuzzy's loss out of his mind.
Cradlegrave bit back an exasperated sigh as he stopped in his tracks. "Comin' back to see that the entire Clan up and left seems like Chim's dream to me," he said, "and how many things can you possibly have that you need to gather--y'know what, don't answer that," he grumbled. Knowing SwiftClan, someone was probably lugging around an entire den with them.

Sparrowpaw let out a small giggle at the way he had phrased the last part of his sentence. "I don't know if I want leaves being stuck in my ears." She teased. "But finding leaves the perfect size to tuck behind my ear sounds like it'll be fun!"

Limekit nodded, as if he understood anything that Peachblush had explained, except of course that he now had to walk.... a lot. He huffed, sighing about the idea. He barely got out of the nursery and now he had to walk.... forever? Til they ended up... wherever they were supposed to be? Sounded like a terrible plan to him, but as his siblings talked about the 'charms' of their current camp, he found himself excited to get out of here.
Heavypetal watched as the members of his clan gathered around, listening to their opinions of moving and Cradlegraves announcement from a quiet distance, taking quick mental notes of the scene. He was ready to go, since he had joined he had gathered little, nothing physical to carry, and he had barely held any emotional connections to anyone in particular either. He looked towards Peachblush, wondering if the familiar tom could enlist his help with the kits as well, but would wait for him, it seemed someone else had already offered. He sat ob standby, waiting to make sure no one was left behind and that he was there in case anyone did need help.

"I wonder where our new camp will be. Maybe we'll have our own playground!" Plumkit said excitedly to her littermates, bumping her shoulder against Limekit's hip. He seemed like he woke up on the wrong side of the moss and she could at least get him a little excited for the new camp. It was exciting, her and all her littermates and the rest of the clan on an adventure.
"Will we come across any monsters during our trip? Or maybe a racoon? I heard one of the elders telling a story about them. They seemed really scary." She blabbered on continuously to Pechblush, bouncing a few times in her excitement, big amber eyes looking up at him with curiosity. Would he have answers to all her questions? She hoped so.
