Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"That's the last vote," Glowstar whispered, placing the last stone they counted into the pile.
During the full moon StarClan had descended from the heavens, warning every follower of theirs to cut ties with all non believers. Any clan that should show them kindness would meet the unfortunate fate of losing their connection to StarClan. However, DayClan's allies were Primal Instinct and Renegade Regime, groups that had faithfully aided them through hardships. Not only this, but StarClan demanded for DayClan to follow the warrior code, one where their borders would no longer be neutral, where eating two-leg prey would not be a suitable option when they starved in the cold moons.
Instead of Glowstar making the final decision she asked every cat old enough to catch their own prey to cast a stone. To vote to continue to be a follower or stay on their own path whatever fate that may be. Now the answer was before them.
"We will not listen to StarClan's wishes and in doing so we have lost them as our guide," Glowstar announced.
Thirty-six percent of DayClan's population had voted for StarClan, but majority won out. For the first time in DayClan's history ever, the afterlife wasn't certain like it was for every other clan. There was no promise of a wonderful heaven for the good or an isolated dark void for the bad, everything was going to be even more uncertain than it was before.
Present Day
Since deciding they would not abide by StarClan's new rules things had been relatively normal. Probably because DayClan had decided not to inform StarClan about their decision, instead letting them figure it out themselves. Night took longer to blanket the sky, but when it did the darkness that covered felt like a world of shadows, like none of the stars on this particular night had blessed them with their light in the valley of camp. That is until one single light appeared, identical to the one seen in the full moon gathering, this one being the StarClan spirit of Whispyfeather.
"A little bird told me that DayClan has forsaken StarClan," Whispyfeather said, looking at the clan that had once been her home before her death.
"Hey! I don't know what that priestess said about us, but it's probably not true," Glowstar said, quick to defend them, even though her information was accurate.
Whispyfeather studied Glowstar carefully, her silver starry figure held a pleasant shine like silver, but the way she looked at the DayClan leader, she mas well have been staring at a weed, "StarClan chose Goldenphantom, Goldenstar, as the next leader of DayClan, even if she has dismissed the title in the favor of your escape I still view her, or quite frankly, anyone with even a slightly loyal soul as leader."
"We voted, majority of DayClan wanted to stay true to who we are. We aren't interested in abandoning our allies or changing who we are, a peaceful clan welcoming to all, in order to suit your demands," Glowstar said firmly.
"Maybe you have convinced others to choose to abandon StarClan, but we will be the final judge to decide how many have truly turned their backs on us," Whispyfeather breathed out in a velvet soft tone, "But since you represent DayClan, your clan will be seen by the rest of StarClan's followers as nothing more than a group of rogues. I hope that you change your mind, this clan is full of good people with great hearts. It's not too much to ask for you to close your borders."
