Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Southspectre suppressed the urge to growl as he rifled through his meagre possessions. The brightly-coloured, intricately-patterned bowl he'd been studying the previous night had suddenly gone missing, and Southspectre didn't think it was likely that it had just grown legs and ran away. Mammon! Snowshod! he yowled out with his mind, hoping his call would be strong enough to summon his other two brothers. Come here for a minute!
Mammon had been painting a lovely mural of MoonClan triumphant return to their home and Marvelstar’s guidance to the true faith. He liked to surround himself with beautiful things, his den was a treasure hoard of various items all neatly placed in organized piles. But he did not have any decorative bowls, though he did have a particularly fancy platter. Yet if one would pick one of the three brothers who would have most likely stolen it Mammon would be a good guess. He did have a habit of borrowing things he liked, although he was careful to not borrow from his clanmates. Yes? What is it? He asked navigating the tunnels over to Southspectre’s quarters.
As Snowshod grew older, he started to sleep heavier and longer; he was harder to wake and he did not mind. But it seemed he was only growing resistant to the spoken word because the thoughts slamming into his mind were enough to startle the mostly-white tom awake.
He climbed to his paws, stifling a yawn, and headed toward Southspectre as well.
Keep in mind that under no circumstances am I accusing either of you two of anything, Southspectre began, gesturing to the empty spot in his small collection of items, but one of my possessions seems to have gone missing—my 'cool bowl', as I called it. It was a very cool bowl, and had very cool and good gold markings up and down the side. I don't suppose any of you—well—came across it, say, this morning. Perhaps before I woke up?
The resounding silence was driving Southspectre crazy. "There's no one else here but us, one of you must have taken it!" he said scornfully, then his eyes widened sharply as he realised what he'd done. I mean, it was one of you! he 'said' to them, but it was too late. The words--the noise--had already escaped his lips, forever unable to be taken back.
@samiam i forgot to tag you like we said but HERE WE ARE
Not me, Snowshod promised, finally sending the words into his companions' minds. He had been asleep for a long time - he spent more time sleeping now than he cared to admit - and he would never have taken something without permission. At first, so preoccupied with the effort, he hadn't even realized that Southspectre had spoken out loud; it was only the tom's reaction that made him notice what had happened.
Southspectre... "I don't think we're supposed to talk," he whispered anxiously.
Mammon tilted his head and frowned slightly as both of his brother’s spoke aloud. That was definitely not allowed though he wasn’t sure what the repercussions were. No there’s like a rule or a curse about talking He supplied what he could recall from their ceremony when they were made the silent brothers. Of course he may not have been paying that much attention. Do we need to like apologize to Selene? Like a do a sacrifice or something? As much as he wasn’t a super social cat he did like these two mostly because they left each other alone and didn’t want to see them get in trouble.
