So many rules. He counted them as he did his bounds, fast, yet warily, every single step was planned, since the first where he had snuck out of his current home's nursery. He could be exiled, if not worse, for what he was doing, yet the wind that blew through the budding leaves from the trees of Springclan's territory carried something that called him away, to where he ran to now, his paws beating into the soft ground. His eyes teared from the effort, his lungs burning, he ran faster than any kit should, fear of being caught by a stray warrior causing him to flee faster. The scent of Springclan started to wane and the smells of others greeted him as he came across a place he had never seen before, causing him to slow his pace. He searched for a moment around all the trees, wondering where he was. It was intoxicating, but as the breeze picked up again the creeping feeling of needing to move came to him again. He closed his eyes, shaking out his pelt as he turned his nose to the sky, his paws orienting himself as if on their own. As he opened his eyes, slowly, pale blue and half-lidded, he began moving again, towards where the leaves remained painted in hues of reds and orange... yellow like the sun. He breathed in the crisp air as he took off again, kicking up dirt as he ran, following whatever it was that was calling him into the unknown.
For a minute he stopped, once or twice, before coming to a stream. He crouched, taking a few sips of water and catching his breath. As he sat he pondered why he had ended up here, no longer feeling the pull as much as he had before. He picked up on it, quiet, as if it had been drowned in the waters that flowed next to him. He sighed, his ears flattening against his skull as he became frustrated, wondering if he had risked it all for nothing. He struck the water in silent frustration, but a ring in his ears sounded as it splashed against his soft fur, making him retreat just as quickly as he had attacked it. This was it. He jumped into the stream, sprinting along its' flow until it became too deep to run in, at which he ran next to it, until again the water met up with streams just like it, and he ended up nose to cliff-edge, his worn paws skidding to a stop on algae covered rocks. The call was silenced now by the roar of a waterfall below him, and he was left uncertain about what he should do. He looked about himself, so small amoungst the wide falls, his coat being sprinkled with the water that he knew held secrets that he may never get answers to. He sighed, taking some steps back, finding a thicket to hide in where he could rest again, and curled himself up in the roots, trying his best to keep an ear out for anyone who could approach, hoping that the water would hide his scent long enough for him to build up enough energy to get back. Yet they closed for what he only though was a second, only for when he reopened them, the sky was as blue as his eyes from the fresh morning.
(time wise he snuck out of spring around midday and spent the evening following the stream, thinking he could start going back to spring by moonlight) ps im so sorry i didnt mean to write a book ;; @turtlenoir
( Honestly it's totally okay that this is long <3 )
Chestnutheart had once again had a restless night. Since the death of her aunt and the disappearance of her apprentice. Her sleep had been rather lacking. She found herself wandering the territory once again. Something deep down in her gut told her to go towards the waterfall. She found her paws carrying her to the edge of the water. The sun had peaks over the horizon awhile ago. The early morning light shimmering off the waterfall was mesmerizing sight to see. She noticed a very very faint scent that smells out of place. Her lips formed a frown as she surveyed the area wondering where it came from.

The large kit surveyed his area, icy eyes peeking from the aging leaves of the brush he had taken refuge in. A sharp scent hit his nose. The same that he had come across at the meeting place of yesterdays travels. He reeled quickly back within the leaves, ever thankful for his dull pelt, hopefully blending him in with his hiding spot. Weaselkit watched with stifled breath as a she-cat came into view, the light from the falling water casting reflections off her multicoloured pelt. His heart beat rang in his ears as alarm took over him, making him shrink back, knowing getting caught here would only lead to trouble, yet there was something comforting about her presence. He could only hope that she wasn't the inquisitive type, or that he wouldn't make a sound he didn't need to make, but luck had never been on his side, and he didn't expect it now.
The strange smell bothered the medicine cat. It didn't smell like any predator or prey that she was used to, nor did it smell like any herbs. She didn't recognize it amongst any of her clanmates. She wondered if a rogue or loner had wandered onto their territory, but dropped that idea because there was something oddly familiar to it. That's when she realized that she recognized it. It smelled a lot like Springclan, but was rather faint like it was covered up by something else. The fur along her spine prickled. Was there someone watching her at the moment? "Is someone there?" She called out.

Weaselkit watched as she stranger searched around herself, his heart beat in his ears, the blood rushing. He wasnt a fighter but his emotions took over his body as he unsheathed his claws, digging them into the ground. He wouldn't stand a chance against a full grown warrior, he was certain, and his pelt bristled at the thought, his hackles raised as he slithered low to the ground, out from under the bush, his eyes narrowed and his ears flushed against his skull. He was sure he looked as intimidating as a mouse, but he wasn't there to prove a point, he was only trying to save his skins. His mouth stayed drawn in a tight line, his teeth gritted behind taut lips as he braced himself for whatever was to come, his eyes, slitted in the sudden onset of light, searched franticly over the other cat, but he couldn't let his guard down, not for a second.
