Daydreamer wasnt a cat to rise before dawn, yet today he managed to be awake somewhere soon after. The sun had already risen as he left the warriors den, licking his maw as he thought about what to do today. He shivered, the crisp air cooling him before he stepped into the sunlight, where the rays warmed his bengal pelt, a drowsy smile growing on his face. Then he remembered, he had been assigned an apprentice, he should probably do something about that, especially since it was the leader's progeny. His smile waned a bit as he went to the apprentices' den, looking for the unkempt cat, "Weevilpaw?" he called, his tail tip twitching with curiosity. He hadnt really interacted much with the younger cats of his home. This was a first.
It was certainly an interesting scene that Daydreamer found his new apprentice in; Weevilpaw was sitting in the back of the den, struggling to tear out an impressively large chuck of his moss bedding that had somehow gotten tangled into his long, unruly pelt while he'd been sleeping. In all honesty he almost resembled a squirrel's nest more than a cat. When the warrior called out his name, the young grey tom glanced up, grinning lazily as he rose to his paws and trotted over to the bengal, bits and pieces of moss falling to the ground in his wake. "Mornin', Daydreamer," He meowed out, his current predicament left completely ignored. "Ya takin' me out for training today?"

"Was hoping to," Daydreamer chuffed, humour in his voice at the scene. He had watched incredulously as the apprentice, his apprentice, has all but pulled himself from his nest, "Are you sure you dont want me to take you out for a grooming session first?" he chuckled, looking the other tom over. He had never met such an odd cat, and he was one to talk, but the smaller fellow perplexed him in the best ways. Maybe having an apprentice wasn't going to be so bad after all, he decided, smiling back at Weevilpaw as he approached.
"Oh, this?" Weevilpaw glanced over his shoulder with an amused grin, shaking his back leg and watching as a few clumps of moss and...were those flower petals? shook free from his unkempt fur, floating down onto the dirt floor. "Nah, it's honestly too much work anyway. I'm just hoping the prey might mistake me for a bush or something." The apprentice shrugged, still grinning, and padded past Daydreamer to the entrance. Poking his head out of the den, he squinted slightly at the bright light outside, examining the camp. "Before we get goin', can we grab some grub first? I'm starving."

"Well thats..." Daydreamer started, genuinely having to think this whole apprentice thing over, "One way to do it," he decided, already excited to be able to show his apprentice things like how to hunt and what the best sunning places were, maybe even how to swim on a warm enough day. Though at the mention of food he calmed. "And here I was thinking we'd get to catch our own breakfast. Of course!" he mewed, following behind his apprentice as he exited the den, "We can plan our day over some freshkill, that sounds like a good idea hmm?"
"No better way to plan than with a full stomach!" Weevilpaw glanced over his shoulder at his mentor with a cheeky grin, licking his lips and he sniffed around the fresh-kill pile; the pile was still pretty small, as it was early morning, but that wasn't going to stop the apprentice from picking out the absolute fattest prey to chow down on. He pulled out a fat robin and began to dig in, glancing up at Daydreamer curious expression. If they were going to be spending the next several moons together day in and day out, might as well learn about him. "So..." he mumbled in-between chews. "Were you born here in Summerclan, or did ya come from twolegplace?" It seemed like a fair question to start off with, in this clan it was almost always one or the other.

The bengal watched with a smug grin on his muzzle as he watched his apprentice. He was a cheeky... not-so-little, fella, or sure. He would have his paws full, that was certain, but if he didn't know better, Weevilpaw could've been a chip off of his block. He followed after him, selecting a smaller mouse to settle his stomach for the morning, "Born here, I even have a few siblings around, if I looked hard enough," he smiled, "Don't ask me too much about my own apprenticeship though, I couldn't remember it even if I tried," he explained, the tip of his tail twitching as he laid down and began to eat.
"Yeah, I get that," Weevilpaw responded, gnawing on the bird's wing a bit thoughtfully before eating it. "Being an apprentice is kinda odd, ain't it? I'm basically as big as you already; I just can't hunt or fight as good." He paused to finish swallowing the last of his breakfast before stretching again, content with a full stomach. "Which one are you better at? I mean, ya gotta mentor me, right? So is there is game plan for today, or are we just goin' for a stroll of the Deep Lands, an' makin' it up as we go along...?" He stood up, giving Daydreamer a knowing smile, having a good feeling about which one would suit the two of them.

Im so sorry i never even saw the reply omg ;; )
"Oh I'm sure we could find something to get into if we look hard enough in the deep recesses of our territory." he chuckled, thinking to himself, "Have you been out of camp yet? If we look around the borders theres sure to be something going on, maybe we'll get to meet some rogues!" he chirped, "You know where the borders are? I could teach you that at least. Otherwise... I'm decent at hunting, though I think I'm more lucky than skilled to be fair..." he trailed off, finishing his mouthful of mouse quicker than usual with the bubbling anxiety and excitement in his stomach.
"My Pa's taken me out into the Deep Lands a couple o' times," Weevilpaw admitted with a noncommittal shrug, raising a curious brow at some of Daydreamer's ideas. "But I've never gone farther than the woods. I don't know if I'd wanna meet some rouges today; haven't exactly learned how to fight yet, you know?" He chuckled a little bit as he began strolling towards the Camp's main exit. "But I wouldn't mind learnin' the borders, than havin' a basic huntin' lesson later...as long as it isn't too much work."

Daydreamer nodded calmly as he followed after his apprentice, and then moved to the front of their small party, guiding the two of them out of camp, hoping only for their travels around the borders would go peacefully. He made sure to keep pace with his student, not wanting to over or underwhelm him, though he hoped that he was able to keep their lesson fun enough through the day.
