Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The calm feline laid her eyes on the bumbling clan. She watched the cats move about their lives, almost like ants, creatures who can only see what is in front of them. Such is a problem with Viatrix; her view of the world, to her atleast, is so much greater, so much wiser than the felines she generously calls clanmates. Living in such a formulaic society is not suited for someone like her. Via craves adventure and adrenaline, she needs to feel something more and explore a greater world. How exactly is she supposed to prosper if she's brought down by the numb, uninterested personalities of those around her?
This problem is one she's had to deal with for her entire life. Many times she's heard her elders tell her that she cannot look down on others for opposing worldviews. Then they would laugh and liken her to Tiveronah, the god of chaos, the god she was devoted to. Viatrix smiled at the thought. They would think I was some rebellious trickster. Not that they were wrong. The image that people thought of her, while not very far off from what she's actually like, amused her to no end.
A creature happened to pad close enough to Viatrix to notice the look of almost disdain that crossed her eyes. It was strange to him, in a way he couldn't explain. Of course, she probably had the right to look at the cats of the Monarchy however she wanted, to be critical of cats in any way that she deemed fit. That was part of the privilege of being on top, being part of the royal family. Brenna had never had such privilege; he was from a small family who was of no particular importance of the group. This didn't mean that he was a subpar member of the society, though. He did his part, and perhaps more. He was one of the cats that she would perhaps look down on, one that saw only what he needed to see, who participated in the society around him without questioning it. Perhaps it was his dedication that caused this; he was a creature born of Devonei. Perhaps it was simply because he was uninspired to question the world around him.
"Penny for your thoughts?" he meowed after a moment of watching her, nodding his large black head. "May I join you?" He supposed that the second question probably should have been his first, but Brenna was never the best at socializing with cats he didn't know. He wasn't shy, but he could present himself rather awkwardly without intending to. Such was his life.
For once she was actually caught off guard by the voice that came from behind her. Usually she could notice when an animal was near her, but this time she was completely lost in her own mind. Viatrix shot the unfamiliar cat a look that could seem hateful, but really carried too many mixed emotions to be pinpointed.
She looked at the tom for an uncomfortable second before answering him. "You may." She said calmly. There really was no point in making enemies with clanmates, even if such a clanmate was intruding onto her personal time. "Although I don't know why you'd care about my thoughts." The statement carried no emotion; it was dead and almost unnerving to listen to. Not that any cat would really want to know what she was thinking as it was usually less than nice.
