Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Ratstar wasn't quite sure what prevented him from sleeping that night, or what compelled him to rise from his nest - careful not to wake his beloved Poppymask, who was deep in sleep - and leave the safety and warmth of camp for a midnight stroll through the Deep Lands. The snow was only a thin, white blanket covering the cold, but not frozen, ground; a good sign that warm weather would hopefully be right around the corner. There weren't any clouds in the sky, and the brown tabby tom could see the stars of Silverpelt clearly through the empty branches above his head. Aside from the brief fiasco at the previous gathering, though that didn't seem particularly meant for him, the Summerclan leader hadn't been contacted by his warrior ancestors since his lives ceremony over four seasons ago. How much had changed since then! The former loner had taken a beautiful mate and was raising a family - with a second litter on the way! He had friends, allies, and even enemies. A clan that adored him...almost a bit too much in some cases. So many cats that relied on him. Despite generally being an easy-going tom, he couldn't help but feel the weight of all those lives on his shoulders. When he first became leader, he thought that feeling would go away with time...now he wondered if it would ever leave at all. Did other leaders feel like this?

Seasons had come and gone since she had passed peacefully in her sleep, kept company by her only surviving kit. She had lived a long and fulfilling life. Many mistakes were made but she had also created countless beautiful memories and relationships during her time. She had watched her clan survive many hardships and thrive under her leadership and beyond. She had many regrets, but none so big that kept her from enjoying the afterlife. Now, she hunted peacefully among the stars with her kits and grandkits.
Tonight, however, was a bit different. She could feel an uneasiness penetrating the air, almost as if calling out to her. She pressed forward towards the source, appearing as a black mist with stars in her paws, until she spotted Ratstar and immediately knew the cause. He was a good and fair leader. He understood the responsibilities of a leader and she could see the weight that bore on him. No one understood that weight better than her. When her clan was starving, sick, dying, she had felt the weight of every cat and piece of prey both within and outside of Summerclan territory.
"Good evening, Ratstar. I see you have wandered outside at such an unusual hour." She flicked her ear in greeting and circled around him, getting a full look of him. She had been present for his naming ceremony, as all the past leaders of Summerclan had, but she had not seen much outside of glimpses since then. The old leader could tell that seasons had passed since. He was sturdier and more sure on his paws. "There must be something on your mind." There were many types of counsel she could provide on an evening such as tonight, whether he asked for it or not was another tale. Sometimes no advice was better than unwanted advice.
The strange voice sent a chill right through his body, one not caused by the cold at all. Ratstar seemed almost frozen to the spot in surprise as the spirit suddenly appeared out of thin air and circled around him. It took a few moments before the leader forced himself to relax, once he recognized the familiar starry pattern that littered the she-cat's pelt. "I've never seen one o' ya outside o' Starclan before," he blurted out, unsure of just how to answer the spirit's line of questioning. "Mudthistle an' Pantherclaw always talk 'bout how they once saw y'all dancin' on the lake, but I always assumed they were jus' messin' with me." He let out a soft chuckle, his heat from his breath curling around in the air like a small cloud. "Ah, but where are my manners? Ratstar o' Summerclan, at ya service, though ya already knew that." The Summerclan leader chuckled again, before properly dipping his head to the Starclan cat in greeting. "Forgive me, I recognize ya from my lives ceremony, but I don't know your name."

[Sorry I've been so busy with work! My hours are changing a lot]
She smiled with understanding and dipped her head to him. "It is nice to finally meet your acquaintance, Ratstar. I am Ravenstar, although it has been many moons since I lead Summerclan. I was deputy to Angelstar and her successor." She remembered hearing about the Starclan spirits on the lake, her own son had returned home screaming about the excitement of it all. That was so long ago, she hadn't thought about it in a long time.
"It's not common for us to leave Starclan, only every once in a while for an important occassion." She blinked and tilted her head towards him, watching the leader curiously for a few moments.
