Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Citadel blinked soft baby blue eyes. The small white creature looked so delicate, her body barely larger than that of a kitten. She was a full grown cat, but that was hard to believe unless you had been around a while. This wasn't to say that she was old, though. She graduated to full rank within the last year, at least if she remembered correctly. Had it been longer?
Citadel looked down at the small toy that laid at her paws. Of course, she wasn't supposed to have this, but what could you do? When opportunity came knocking, you answered the door, and that's how she got Tuna, a stufed bear that was probably larger than her. Okay, it would probably be a good time to say that Citadel had a few screws loose, but you would have found that out in a moment...
"Tuna, dear! Whatever shall we do today? You didn't eat your breakfast this morning. Maybe we shouldn't do anything!" she meowed in the voice of a child to the stuffed creature.
Springpaw had seen a few things in her admittedly quite short lifetime, but this was probably quite high up in her own personal Weirdest Crap I've Ever Seen list.
"Uhh," she murmured, approaching Citadel nervously. She'd heard about the petite she-cat's oddities before, but she'd never experienced them in person up until now. "Howzit goin', Citadel?" she asked, in a fairly forced light tone. "How'z the...tuna - how'z Tuna?"
"The Tuna?" Her childlike voice sounded almost offended at the idea that her little bear was the anything. "I'm so sorry, Tuna dearest," she meowed, before giving the inanimate object a lick on the head. "Some cats just have never seen someone as cool as you! They get a little jealous and forget their manners." She spoke to her stuffed animal as if Springpaw completely wasn't there, before turning her head to face the apprentice.
Her bicolored eyes blinked. "Tuna and I are doing just fine, thank you," she meowed, her tone suddenly sweet for the fact that she had basically just spoke crap about her to a toy. "You're Springpaw, right?"
Springpaw paused. "...Nah," she answered, eye twitching slightly. "Nah, I'm Winterpaw. Springpaw is my sister though, so I can see why there'd be some confusion. Sorry about calling you a the, Tuna," she said.
"Tuna you must have misinformed me! You silly girl, you," mewed the she-cat in a delicate tone, before flicking her toy on the nose as if to punish it. She let out a sigh and glanced back to Winterpaw. "You should forgive Tuna, she can get forgetful. Can I just call you Seasonpaw? I think that's a good name. Or even just Season. What is it with you clan cats with your funky names? I never did understand, even when you all joined with the Monarchy. Tuna and I think you should all just simplify it and then we wouldn't get so confused!" It was easy to tune Citadel out after about three words, afterall most of what she said was absolute nonsense.
