Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Though she loved her family dearly and was beyond ecstatic to learn that there would be additions to their little trio, Septariadragon was tired of being cooped up by Zengarden. There was one thing that could break her mate’s highly cultivated nirvana and that was the fear that she would get into trouble — any trouble — if she so much as stepped foot outside. It was stifling and she desperately needed a break. Though she wasn’t so heavily pregnant as to be hindered by her belly, it was clear by her roundness that she was far along enough to not be taking too many risks. In her desperate, cabin fever addled brain, however, this was a risk she was willing to take. Glancing from side to side, the black feline exhaled heavily and tiptoed — to the best of her ability — to the camp entrance.

"Care for an escort?" the large tom greeted with a smile. He had watched the she-cat on her sneaky trek out of the nursery while he'd been preparing himself for his own patrol around the borders. Blackberry wasn't one to stop anyone of doing what they wanted, save for naughty kits, and was always happy to have company on his walks, maybe the two black cats could kill two birds with one stone.
The she-cat halted, not one to admit she’d been spooked, and slowly turned to face the voice, chin rising as though to prove her standing — and to try to save what pride she had left after stooping so low. She relaxed with a sigh, smiling gently. “As long as you keep it between us. Zengarden would fly into a panic if he knew I was going out.” Her ears swiveled, checking her surroundings; her mate wouldn’t be up for some time, he having taken a night shift and struggling with the change in sleep pattern after their daughter was apprenticed. The she-cat padded to his side. “Where were you thinking of going?”

The scarred tom gave a nod, a chuckle rumbling in his belly as he nodded, understanding completely. "I was just going out on patrol. Was there a place you wanted to get to? Maybe the waterfall pool or the garden? Both are sure beautiful this time of year, nice places for a walk around. And I'm sure he wouldn't mind you going that far if you had some company with you, I'll make sure you make it back in one piece," he offered, straightening his posture as she came to his side, his tail tip twitching.
Her claws flexed. "The waterfall sounds nice. I could use a refresher. I don't think my senses could handle any extra stimuli by flowers, no matter how beautiful. They've been on the fritz. Lead the way, captain." She smiled. "And while we walk, perhaps you can tell me a little bit about yourself. Like why you go on patrol alone." She smirked, gaze teasing.

"I could do that," Blackberry purred, a small huff of laughter under his breath as he started towards the camp exit. He made sure to keep his pace slow and steady, choosing his path carefully as not to endanger the queen or to make her hurry. Not like he was in a rush anyways. "Most cats never want to join me on patrols, let alone strolls. Thats really all they are," he admitted, his tone humorous, thinking about her previous query as he walked.
“Then count yourself lucky! If I wasn’t cooped up in the nursery, I’d be the one dragging you out to do whatever! Before I found myself expecting, I was always outside of camp... Marking the borders, taking in the scenery, assisting the healers in herb cultivation, hunting... Whatever reason I could find not to be stuck inside. I love my family and my clan, but I’m not meant to be stationary.” She sighed wistfully. “I’m a wanderer at heart. Adventure is what sings in my veins.” She glanced at him. “Maybe your soul is taunted by wanderlust, too. Perhaps we could be fast friends, Blackberry.” She sighed, gazing up at the skies for a moment. “It would be nice to have friends again.”

The smile on his muzzle remained as they walked. The black furred tom staying quiet as he listened to the queen, enjoying her thoughts, but mostly her company. "I'd be happy to be your friend, ma'am, but hopefully I've sated my wanderlust with my past life," he chuckled, "Springclan is home now, I'm sure I'll end up seeing all its ins and outs, but settling down is on the top of my list," he drawled, "But in the meantime, I'm happy to make sure you can get some fresh air without your partner fussing over you. Couldn't imagine being watched all the time, tied down and all, but I'm sure I'll end up on the other end of that line at some point," he thought aloud, a fondness for the idea in his voice. "Thats much later though I'm sure."
