Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. There were times when Sakurapaw still longed to have the freedom of a kitten; to run around, throw herself down, and play with anyone who so much as glanced at her. Now, as an apprentice with duty and responsibility and every dreaded term that bogged her down by like storm clouds, she struggled to find a balance between childhood and the desire to rise to become a successful warrior. The white she-cat huffed and gazed longingly at a moss ball just a few inches from her paw; tentatively, she reached out and poked it.

Weaselkit watched the apprentice from over her shoulder, only a tails length away. He himself was apprentice aged, but had only come to the clan less than a moon ago. He was content waiting in the nursery, not like there were too many cats in there with him anyways, it was always quiet. "You gonna play with that?" he asked, shaking out his dusty pelt as he stood to take small steps to be level with her.
Mismatched eyes slid to the side, attempting to get a glimpse of the new arrival without turning her body toward him. She nudged the ball half-heartedly once more before standing and taking a step back from it, opening a clear path to the plaything, “No. It’s yours if you want it.” She smiled a bit, as genuinely as she could muster, “You at least can get away with it.” It came out on impulse, a consequence of the falter in her brain-to-mouth filter and she instantly regretted it, but part of her whispered that she must always be honest about her feelings, for no one else will care enough to ask otherwise.

"You could play too if you wanted, no ones going to stop you," he offered, the ragdoll tilting his head with a sour face, a brow raised in confusion, "Did you want to play with it?" he asked, knowing what the answer was before he asked it. No one touched things they didn't want. Before she could answer though he took a step towards it, and batted it gently in her direction, aiming it straight where her paws connected her to the earth.
Sakurapaw gazed upon the tom opposite her and the moss ball that was tapped her way before she smiled softly and narrowed her eyes, a telltale sign of the mischief she was happily going to get into. The she-cat kicked it toward him, aiming to score over his head, his ears the goalposts. She grinned.

A warmth spread through him as he watched the light come to her eyes, a small smile tugging at the corners of his maw. As he got tangled in his emotions he almost got smacked right in the face with the mossball as she chucked it back at him. He ducked, as close to the last second as possible and the ball went bouncing away from them as it hit the ground. He watched it roll slowly to a stop and flattened his ears as he glanced back at Sakurapaw with a sheepish look, "You want me to get that?"
