Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fun Fact: He intimidates others (huge, scarred all over, shady/seedy past), so his partner has to be someone willing to give him the time of day and be mature about things
“This way Blackberry,” Softpelt said. She wouldn’t deny being a little intimidated by the big tom, but she didn’t outwardly show it. He was a clanmate! And he deserved to find love just as much as anyone else.
So she picked a spot bathed in warm sunshine with some sunny yellow flowers as a backdrop. Hopefully that would help warm things up a little and encourage things to get started.
“There! Now, you just wait here, and we’ll start sending visitors your way, okay? Best of luck!” Softpelt chirped before heading on her way.

The large tom offered a smile to Softpelt as she left, thankful for the rays of warmth that hit his dark pelt. He didnt expect much to come of this, but he was happy just to get the chance to meet more clanmates in a one on one scenario. He sat up tall, looking over the bright flowers as he curled his thick tail over his large paws, awaiting whatever would come.
"Hello?" A tentative voice heralded the arrival of a black and white she cat, she spotted Blackberry and made her way over to him. "You're Blackberry right? I'm Inksplash,"
Her mother had encouraged her to participate in this 'speed dating' thing, and though she doubted it would result in a romance like her mother was hoping (mother was looking for grandkits). She supposed it couldn't hurt to get to know her clanmates better.
"This whole speed dating thing is weird, but I suppose the goal is we only have so much time before we get urged to move along. So uh... well I introduced myself... I was born in SpringClan, I moved to FallClan briefly when my mother got kicked out by Eternalstar... and then we moved back after..."
She trailed off, wincing as she thought of her failed romance back in FallClan, her tail twitching in embarassment. "Er, well after mother got demoted and Fawnheart and her decided they'd prefer to come back home." She perked up and straightened up. "Been here ever since and haven't been happier!" She offered with an awkward smile.

Blackberry perked at the sound of a voice, the beat of his heart quickening just a bit at the surprise. He chuckled at her nervousness, glad that he wasn't the only one that thought this was silly, but hung on her every word, hoping he wasn't giving the impression that he didn't care, "You're a seasoned traveler too it looks like," he smiled back, trying to put her at ease, "I wasn't born here, I come from a twoleg place far away, but it's been a long time since I walked that path, but I'm happy to call Springclan my home, theres a... warmer sort of cat here than from where I was raised," he explained, pausing for a moment before he realized that he should probably continue the conversation. "What do you enjoy most here?"
"Oh you're from a twolegplace? My mother's from there... well she was a kittypet, back in the old days of SpringClan we used to have Daylight warriors. Mother said they were kittypets who had a paw in twolegplace and a paw in the clan." Inksplash mused with a soft laugh.
"As for what I enjoy most? Hmm... I think I have to agree with you about the warmth of the clan." Inksplash said. "This is a place for new beginnings, as you know new leaf is all about. Cats can have second chances here. Sure you have to prove that you're good, and... on a few unfortunate occasions we've gotten hurt from being so accepting."
Eternalstar and her lot popped into Inksplash's mind.
"But, the few bad eggs isn't enough to spoil that view of providing second chances in my opinion." Inksplash said. "This place is so good because everyone is striving to make it such. And I like that, the sense of camaraderie... though I suppose that's in just about any clan." She offered with a weak laugh.
"IT could also be that the territory's just really pretty y'know? And it's been tied to my family for so long. I think of home and I just... I think about my mother taking me to the cherry blossom tree and telling me about my father who died before I was born... and I just, find myself longing for that type of romance. For a tom to come in and sweep me off my paws-"
She flushed. "ahem, didn't mean to get too off track. What about you, what are you liking most about SpringClan so far?"

As Inksplash talked, Blackberry found her words to be soothing. Like Springclan she seemed to be forgiving, with a past of her own that didn't sound too unfamiliar to him. It was soothing at the least to get to talk to someone like this, it made him forget what he had actually been out in the clearing for. He nodded as she brought up the beauty of the territory. It really was something special, especially now that it had begun to warm up, but when she asked him his own opinion he stayed quiet as he tilted his large head to the side, thinking a bit. Finally he spoke, "The stability." he started, as if it was a simple answer, "Same place to sleep every night, same friendly faces each morning and evening. I guess I could get that anywhere but theres something special about this place. My life before was never stable, always on the run, never spent more than a night somewhere, never knew if I'd get to eat that day. Its nice to finally be able to stop and breathe. Second to that, it's just a pretty place to be, prettiest place I've come across yet."
Lunarpoem had decided to wonder around and see to the other cats involved in the event. The first she came upon was Inksplash, a cat she'd hardly interacted with before. "Good morn on to you, surrounded by nice flowers, heavenly scented." She spoke in poems, something that frustrated all who met her and in turn, entertained her. The black she-cat loved poems, and had since she'd first heard one. From a afar, many cats have admired her, but then tehy hear her speak and walk away. It's depressing to many, but she does not mind. Lunarpoem merely floats on by, like a breeze in the night sky, her eyes trained on the ever changing moon and her ears perked for a new poem in the air.

As Inksplash dismissed herself Blackberry found himself flexing his claws in anticipation of what else was to come, if nothing else the conversation he had so far was as good as the company. It seemed to be exactly what he needed too. It seemed like in no time at all another cat appeared, again, someone he had yet to really talk to, but he made his greeting as warm as he could to make up for his looks, straightening his posture as he sat up tall, the fur on his chest puffed out a little as the large black tom gave a small smile, "Good mornin' as well," he started, not noticing the peculiar way in which she spoke, "I hope your day is going as well as mine, anything you have planned for today? Other than good conversation of course," he followed, his eyes reflecting the smile on his maw.
Lunarpoem eyed the tom and nodded her head. "It's interesting, it's interesting indeed, but in a different way. I fear love sickness, may find many clanmates, of yours and mine yet. Conversations grow, Love blossoms in the air around, yet hope is short lived for some." She knew of the festivals in SunClan, had heard whispers of them at gatherings, or the romance festivals and the acts committed there. It was interesting, and left many with too much hope for what they did not actually find. They sought out love, but found false love. It wasn't true, for it was merely found in the heat of the moment, and not through true passion.

Blackberry couldn't find himself to be pessimistic about things, though he wasn't hopeful to find anything from these meetings as it was, "Cant be too void of hope now," he started, his tone even, as if he was teaching himself something, "Even if we can't make connections now, they're sure to come later. Life keeps going and going now," he explained, the smile on his maw remaining exactly where it was, "And even then, maybe at least you'd leave with a friend, right? Gotta keep a chin up yeah? Thats why were here." He thought aloud, happy with the idea.
"There is hope still yet, for each of us to come pass, no worries for us. The moon will change still, waxing and waning nightly, feelings evolving. We are but small ants, to the stars and moon above, love a fleeting thing, yet we still seek it, each night each morning each day. Friends family loved ones, we collect them in our life, each we love deeply." Lunarpoem was not pessimistic or optimistic, she just is. She lives in the moment, longing for a future like all others, but more curious about what it holds than what it will be. That is where she differs from many cats. She doesn't care what is to come, just that she can see it. Her only selfish wish. The chance to see what is to happen next, to wonder about more to come, and to then see that. If she finds love, further than what she has with her family, then so be it. But she never out right sought it out. It wasn't something she felt she needed to feel complete in life as many others do. The black she-cat ahs no wants, desires, or wishes aside from seeing tomorrow and the wonders the world holds. Merely thankful that she's not a kittypet and thus able to gaze her ice blues upon the wonders of life. "No worries for you, not when you seek happiness, life will be merciful, in that I'm sure of, for one so kind as you are, I see no worries. Friendship lovers you, they will all come to be soon, that I am sure of."

"Well I appreciate your sincerity, Lunarpoem, thank you," he drawled, thinking over her words, he supposed everything would find him in time. The goal of settling down was still heavy in his heart, but making a name for himself came first. He still didn't know all of his surroundings, he had been brought in and treated well despite no one else in the clan knowing where he came from or how he had managed to get there. There were many surprises about him that he didn't want to come to light, things he wanted to forget, and even more things that he had yet to see, and dearly wanted to. "I don't think you've got a thing to worry about either, you're of the good kind," the large tom rumbled, watching as a small gust of wind knocked some loose petals from the flowering trees above. His gaze settled back on the smaller black she-cat, thinking t himself of how his pelt could look as sleek as hers had it not been crisscrossed by scars. "I'm sure of that as well, you'll find what you want."
Luanrpoem nodded her head in thanks, a soft smile gracing her lips. With that, she disappeared, leaving to allow the next cat to come by and say hello. Her own paws carried her to her place, where she would hopefully meet some interesting cats as well.
