Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Windchaser blinked opened her bright, green eyes to the first bird song of the morning. The sun had not risen yet and a bone-chilling breeze drifted into her den. She was warmed by the body heat of her sleeping mate but knew that if she were to rob Austerepaw of his trouble-maker reputation, she would have to leave the warmth of her den and begin the training. Though, she wasn't quite sure why Glowstar had chosen her to teach this apprentice when she, herself, was barely able to hold her tongue and keep peace. With a heavy sigh, she shimmied herself away from Illuminatedpath, careful not to wake her mate and ventured out of their den. There was a fresh blanket of snow waiting for her outside of the den, untouched by the destruction of overly excited kits or the bustle of a busy camp. The glittering snow in the milky dawn light was breath-taking and she inhaled deeply. For the first time in forever, peace had been restored for now and all was quiet. The stress of all the recent battles fading into distant memories. She made her way to where her apprentice slept, the snow crunching beneath her paws as she disrupted the silence and disturbed the smooth surface of the snow. She poked her head into the den and called for her apprentice, waiting a moment to hear a response.
Austerepaw was up in flash, incredibly excited to finally see outside of camp. He had tried several times to see the territory but always managed to be caught. After all he was an Eerie, if only by adoption, huburis and general chaos was more or less expected. Of course Austerepaw never purposely caused trouble, it just seemed to happen because he never thought anything out. It was much more fun to charge headfirst into things and worry later. Granted most of the worrying was usually done by one of his two moms.
“What first? Are you going to teach me to fight? To hunt? Can I see the territory?” He paused only to catch his breath for his next stream of questions. “Can we see the mountains? Will we run into a rival clans patrol?” He was bouncing up and down in excitement. This would be so thrilling and he couldn’t wait to come back with the best stories out of all his siblings.
Windchaser was a well-known legend. Her name was heard all over the lands. She was just nearly as known as Glowstar was. Her bold and heroic actions earned her a place with not only the Imperial Class but also among the Immortal Council and had her name carved into the memorial stones as a legend alongside her mate. If anyone could teach this apprentice what it means to be a Dayclan warrior, Windchaser was the one to guide him.
"Patience, young one. It is important for you to know your territory first. I'll show you the borders and how to mark them." Windchaser replied, standing tall among the apprentice. She immediately turned away, heading for the exit, flicking her tail to beckon the apprentice to follow her.
