racer for delgado and evangeline Evangeline-kun fiddled with the purple ribbon still tied tightly around her neck. Now that she was older, she was more pressed to serve Innocentia. But with the food shortage came a sudden trip to the shaman's den after the proxy took a bite out of her leg. She was precise, only chomping down on where the muscle and fat were stored and avoiding large arteries and nerves.
After a few days, the internal affairs trainee could walk again, though it was weakened and sore. She thought of her own siblings, the others cursed with purple ribbons. Amberlynn and Delgado. Evangeline didn't wanna be known as the girl who got a chunk of her leg bitten out by Innocentia because all the other strays had ran off. She wanted the scar to heal, but she still walked on the leg a little, not wanting it to beat the mental game she had given herself. But after leaving the shaman's den, she didn't expect to run into one of those very same siblings.

Cobwebs. Delgado-Kim repeated the word over and over again in his mind as he headed to the shaman den. One of the cats inno had captured was bleeding, and of course bleeding to death before she was finished with them just wasn’t proper, so he was sent to collect the cobwebs to place on the wounds so that they would continue to live but not heal completely. It was all part of the routine, and as gruesome as it was the Tom took comfort in the rhythm the punishment distract gave. Wake up, eat, torture, don’t let them die, sleeps
“Evangaline-kun “ he blinked coming face to face with his sibling was a surprise, but not a welcomed one as he spotted her limping. He dipped his head “You are not supposed to be here” he pointed out. This wasn’t part of the routine

Internal Affairs had it's own rhythm, and it let her keep an eye on Innocentia and her siblings. A win win, even if she couldn't shake the way Senescence stared at her. Like her eyes would leave burn marks in her back. Not that Delgado-kun was wrong, she wasn't supposed to be here. But at the same time, completely was. Both of their routines had been broken, and Evangeline only offered her brother a smile.
"Nice to see you too Delgado-kun." Her tone was joking, but the smile melted off her face as she opened her mouth to speak again. "Normally, yeah. But Innocentia wanted some sweet blood and I was the first one to cross her path so... what are you doing here?" Evangeline-kun definitely sounded bitter, but kept her voice hushed so only he would hear it.

Delgado-kun blinked pacing back and forth at the revelation "No she shouldnt have done that" his tail was flickering with irritation "It's not your turn" but at her question his feet came to a stop looking down at the cobwebs "I have to stop the prisoners from bleeding" as if suddenly remmebering the task that he had set out to do and was now behind on "Come with me?" he picked them up to begin padding off

Well, they were supposed to have an order. But a king takes what a king wants, and Evangeline-kun happened to be what she wanted. Her eyes softened, her siblings the only ones capable of doing that. "You know how Innocentia is." So that's why he was here. Admittedly, she almost forgot the League still had a few prisoners laying around. It wasn't her jurisdiction. "Sure." She waited for him and as they walked off, her leg started to strain. But she held it in. "You think that whole berry test Funk made us do was Innocentia's idea? It's a bit suspicious we were the first litter to do it, don't you think?"

Delgado-kun shrugged "If it was or wasn't, does it really matter? Its happened, and will happen again" the berry test had been strange and out of the ordinary, but it was quickly becoming the new normal. A routine for him to follow, something that was predictable "What do you think of it? What was the true purpose of that ceremony"

"I guess that's true. It's only suspicious if he doesn't do it again." And based on watching the Nemesis gently care for the shrubs that were still toughing it out, Evangeline could believe it happening again. She couldn't help but be suspicious of Innocentia though. Was it her idea? Or maybe Funk's way of pulling back some control? "I... don't really know. Even though he said one of us could die, no one did. I wonder if it's some sort of trust exercise..."
