Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Faith you can kill this cat or he can be Inno's pet. Whatever would be more fun for you)
A rather large ginger tabby tom ran across the rooftops of the abandoned city with a careful glint in his eye. A silver amulet bounced on his chest as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, a subtle reminder of how much his life changed since he found it. As soon as he picked it up a voice appeared in his head and began to whisper to him. At first the tom thought he was going crazy, but the more his listened the more the voice made sense. It spoke with truth, and the tom felt stronger with every passing day. The training and techniques it offered were strange to him. Deniye's eyes settled on a rather brightly colored pink bow down at the end of the street. The voice in his head spoke. 'Go after them. They are target practice.' Of course.
He ran down the fire escape and to where the small she-cat was standing. He picked her rather distinct scent. She was part of the League. That alone should have warned the tom to back off, but his hubris had ballooned. Nothing was going to stop him. He peaked around a corner to see her continuing on her merry way, and he took a back alley running parallel to her path. As she stepped around the corner, Deniye's paw went straight for her head. He didn't want to kill her. No, he wanted to practice. And he'd get more than he bargained for.
Innocentia's tail was held high as she pranced a little in pace waiting for the correct light flipped to let her walk across the street. Since the city had been expanding she had been learning to go with the flow. So far she had learned that two-legs were really nice, in fact that never bothered her like she did to other cats. No surprise since she still had her bow and bell, everyone could safely assumed she was an outdoor kittypet.
THWACK
"OW!" Innocentia cried out as a massive paw clubbed her head, easily pushing the deceivingly tiny cat over. Her yellow eyes turned to Deniye's with a stare that was all monster. Her claws immediately bopped him on the nose, "No! Bad! Leave me alone, I just got these manicured," She said with disappointment when she saw the intent to fight in the toms eyes. "Go bother someone else, I don't feel like ruining my claws and your life," She said matter of factly with her usual high pitch childish tone that oozed with a girlish toned authority.
He assumed she was a kittypet, so he thought the she-cat would cower before him after that one hit. His blow was plenty solid and strong, and it would easily have stunned any unexperienced, soft kittypet, so the fact that Innocentia bounced back up and struck him across the nose should have been a warning. But, in his newfound hubris, this was nothing short of disgusting on his part. He couldn't take out a kittypet. The voice in his head whispered. "Disgraceful." Exactly.
Deniye returned Innocentia's stare, and he saw the monster in her. But he saw that as a defense mechanism, nothing more than a show. It was good, really good, but not good enough. The tom's claws curled into the ground as a growl left his lips. No way he was going to be shown up by a filthy kittypet. No way. "Too bad." The tom barreled into the tiny she-cat. As large as he was, he had no technique compared to her. The voice in his head could only help so much.
Innocentia had just finished dusting herself up when the tom barreled straight at her. Nimbly pouncing on the pads of her toes she bounced out of his way like she were dodging a bull, but she didn't stop at a simple turn. She waited by the miliseconds, to feel his hot breath, to se ethe whites of his eyes. Only then did she know he was close enough. Using her claws merely to get a proper hold of his head she opened her mouth with an anaconda wide bite. She bit down tearing into his neck, unlike normal fangs hers curved inwards making it impossible for the tom to escape her grip. Using all her strength she tore open his throat. Her paws pressed against the side of shoulders bouncing back onto the ground with the piece of meat or rather a chunk of his flesh in her mouth.
"I'll give you this, you are big and a-nnoy-ing" Innocentia said sticking her tongue out and pulling down her eyelid a bit to tease him.
Before the tom knew what was happening he felt his throat get ripped from his body. One moment he was ready to fight to the death with this puny she-cat, the next she had him pinned and his throat torn up. He didn't know what to think, and he really couldn't think anymore. Things very quickly faded to black, and the last thing he saw was the she-cat mocking him like his brothers used to...
A faint chuckled sounded from nearby when the poor tom's death rattle rang. The voice sounded deep, yet hollow as if nothing physical was really there. There was some truth in that. "Well, you aren't going to waste that poor tom's flesh are you?" A faint red glow could be seen from the alley next to them, and then a cat stepped from the shadows. His fur glowed a faint red, but his dark tabby markings were still easily distinguishable. His eyes remained the ocean blue they had been in his life. "Long time no see."
"Omega?" Innocentia asked, her high, girly, British accented voice wavered with hesitancy as reality rolled back to her last second. He was gone. She had just woke up one day and he was gone, then the next few days everyone said that he had died. Like, whatever, people died all the time, she was the oldest member of the league at this point, people leaving and dying was background noise to her. Even a stupid lovable besty like Omega wasn't going to make her cry in grief. She wasn't going to cry! Or look!
"You're not real," Innocentia said defensively to herself, "It's just-" Her yellow gaze couldn't help, but catch onto Omega's red form. "I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" She admitted, her eyes welling up with tears as she rubbed at them with the back of her paw. "Are you really here?" She asked tearfully, her large rounded yellow eyes staring up at him like two big yellow moons.
The tom chuckled. They were quite the odd pairing, and his time with that idiot tom gave him plenty of time to realize that. Omega didn't plan to be done with the tom so quickly, but when he saw that pink bow he couldn't help himself. Omega waited wordlessly for her to turn around. It didn't take long, but it felt like awhile. A small smile crept its way onto his lips as the realization swept over the she-cat. "Of course I'm here. You know I'm not one for tricks." He gestured towards the still bleeding body at Innocentia's paws. "I even brought you dinner, and I think a good one at that. " He didn't quite share the same emotions that Innocentia had, but it did feel good to see her again.
"I mean yeah, but now I gotta drag it all the way to an alley way, too many two-legs around," Innocentia said her high voice coming off a bit stubbornly annoyed. Omega was large in size so he never had to worry about catching a target too big and having to eat it on the spot or lure it to a location where it could be eaten.
"Anyways, what are you doing back here? I mean you're a ghost or something right?" Innocentia asked reaching out a paw to touch his possibly ghostly body to swish around through him.
