Lovelypaw and Handsomepaw have been set up on a romantic picnic complete with chicken nuggets, frenchfries, and a cheesburger from the twoleg place. With such unusual food, and the blanket that was stolen for them to lay out was sure to create the perfect romantic atmosphere. What was that? A rustlting in the bushes? Two eyes staring in? Handsomepaw was curious about this date. Honestly, he'd only been out with Cherrypaw, so he didn't really know anything else, and wondered if this new cat would be just like her, or an entirely new brand of insane. The food smelled good though, and he sat on the blanket with an easy smile, waiting.
From only a short distance away, a petite figure with cherry-red fur watched through narrowed eyes. Her claws curled around the edge of a knife. Soon, she told herself. Soon.
Lovelypaw was splayed out with her head perched on her paw, which was twisted at a very uncomfortable angle to support it. "What's on the menu today, Haaaandsomepaw?" Eyebrows wiggling at him, she asked him as if she couldn't see the food all around them. Her eyes were too perked in her other thread to use them on this one.
