Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Jezi stretched as she was deciding what to do for the day. She wasn't completely sure what she should be doing, but figured her new rank changed nothing. She would still do her duty and General. It wasn't like she could just... stop being her. She would always be a Huntress, even if her formal title and group begged to differ. She glanced up at the sky and frowned. It was definitely going to snow. Best get hunting before whatever prey was left decided to go into hiding.
A lanky Savvanah watched the new General from across the camp. He had not heard much of the feline before her naming, but that was always how it seemed to be. It was probably for the best. Any former Hedas would probably never return to the Coalition out of fear for their life, and harboring another Clan's leader would only lead to involvement in all of their affairs. He certainly did not care for any of it. His pawsteps brought him over to Jezi. "So, what makes you so special?"
"A lot of things make me 'special'." Jezi responded with a bored shrug. She wasn't sure how much she should mention. From her childhood in primal instinct to her young adult days as a warrior of SunClan. It was a long story that was sure to bore the other cats of Absum Lux.
"Hmm... and those would be you're a combatant, you were the first one the Heda in the moment, oh, and you happened to have some random conversation a while ago?" He did not know if those words were entirely intentional, but they just flowed out of his mouth with ease. He was kind of shocked he had it in himself to talk trash right to her face.
Jezi tilted her head. "Fair points. But, no, that isn't what makes me 'special'. Try again." who cared about hunting? Messing with others - and being messed with - was always a pleasant way to spend the day.
She grew tired of attempting to find a way to jump in, instead of waiting, she strode towards the two. ”Well, hello.” a smile plastered along her lips as she greeted them.
Fezela nodded a greeting to the newcomer, but did not take his mind off Jezi. "Hmm, okay. Maybe you agreed to be the Heda's pet or something like that. You know, kind of like a living, breathing puppet to the real thing."
Jezi shook her head at the tom. At least she took comfort in knowing that he would never guess her past. She glanced over at the other she-cat , "Well, hello there." she responded automatically before glancing back at the tom. "How did you come to that outlandish idea?"
He grinned and winked at the General. "Ah, I have struck a nerve. Well, you said before that you had some random chats with the Heda, so ya can't know her well enough to be buddy-buddy, but ya could be her little puppet. " He shrugged. "Or pawn. Whatever you want. Personally, I think puppet has a certain ring to it."
Honestly. The comment made Jezi's eyes roll. Yes, she hadn't had many conversations with Nemesys, and yes they weren't buddies (yet). But that didn't mean she was anyone's slave, pawn, or puppet. She was to prideful for that. "Do you always try to strike nerves when talking with others?" While she was mildly annoyed at ... being, well, annoyed ... she did still manage to find mild amusement in the words he was choosing.
Kenna couldn’t help but flash a smile at the conversation that was unfolding before her. It was interesting, and she could tell the other cat was trying to get under the general’s skin. Seemed to be working too.
He grin widened to the full width of his muzzle as he winked at the General yet again. He knew he was good at pestering others, but he had thought the General would have been a little bit more difficult. "Sometimes, it depends. You and your temper just made it soooooooo easy, I couldn't resist. It's nothing against you, Pup. It's all right that I call you that, right? Ya know, it's short for puppet. "
Jezi shook her head at him, "Call me that again and you probably won't wake up." what could she say? She hated new nicknames. She only went by Jezi because Jezebelle was to difficult to pronouce when she and her sisters were younger.
He knew he shouldn't. It would be absolutely stupid to push the new General into asserting her authority so early on in her term, but Fezela could not resist for too long. It was way too much fun for no consequences. "Sure thing Pup, but I think you'll have to get the Heda's approval before ya' do anything."
