The tom scented the air hoping to catch the smell of a rabbit, but found nothing yet. Honestly though it wasn't like he was planning to hunt but rather if he happened across the scent he would go after it. Instead the grey and peach patched tabby tom continued on his mission to memorize the area. He was fairly new to Summerclan but not to the clan life in general so he found it both easier and harder to fit in. This territory was definitely beautiful in its own way with the Sea waters and weather...a cat could get used to this. This area in particular, Rabbit's Meadow, was a wonderous place that Fallenredemption found amazing. The tom especially liked the pond that was there, which he preferred over the size of the ocean. He made a mental note to come around here more often and was distracted with his own thoughts, becoming inattentive of the environment around him.
Dappledapple had also been hoping to catch the scent of prey, but found a tom's scent drifting towards her on the breeze instead. Weaving her way through the long grass of the meadow, she came across Fallenredemption lost in his own thoughts and suppressed a flash of annoyance that he was here, scaring off all of her prey, and wasn't even doing anything. "Hey, uh..." she squinted at him, trying and failing to recall the name of the newcomer. "Flailingvindication," she said. Yeah, that was definitely right. "What are you doing?"

Fallenredemption swiveled his head towards the she cats direction and realized she was talking to him (I mean he was the only other cat around.) Giving a small cough the tabby replied, "Ah Fallenredemption but close but uh anyway...I guess I'm trying to learn the area a little bit better. This area in particular is really beautiful and one of the parts of the territory I don't know very well. Errr did I get in your way by chance uh...I'm so sorry I don't know your name." It occurred to the tom that he might be sticking out like a sore thumb and perhaps might be a hinderance to anyone wanting to use this area for duties to the clan. Well he felt like an idiot, not only was he by chance in her way but he didn't even have the slightest clue what her name was whereas she had a rough idea of his name. Could he be more embarrassing?
"Oh, are you sure?" said Dappledapple. Fallenredemption didn't sound right, either. Privately, she thought that Flailingvindication was a much cooler name. "My name's Dappledapple. Dappledapple, notDappledapple," she introduced herself. "Honestly, you are kind of scaring away the prey, but... well, since it's all gone now anyway I guess I could take a break to show you around." She was soothed a little by his compliments on the territory's beauty - in her humble opinion, SummerClan was definitely the prettiest territory in the forest, never mind that she had lived here her whole life and had never really seen another clan's territory. She had heard enough about them at gatherings to decide that they couldn't match up.

Fallenredemption gave a nod, "A little bit sure yes, but I would definitely love a tour around the area. And again I am truly sorry for scaring off the prey....I know some of the territories but not all, however I'm finding myself to believe this particular area is my favorite spot I've seen so far. Oit of curiosity do you have a favorite spot around here Dappledapple?" He made sure to say her name exactly as she asled of him so he would remember in the future and hopefully not insult her. Looking at the she cat Fallenredemption foud himself looking at her verdant green eyes which truly were pretty. Her pelt look so soft and the colors were very beautiful indeed... Hey focus on the area and what Dappledapple say instead of just focusing on her and not paying attention to what she says he chastised himself sternly.
Dappledapple did not mind at all if he focused on her rather then the territory. I mean, who could blame him? "Weeell," she said, making sure she was showing him her good side so he could get a nice view, "I've always liked the Sunning Rocks. I'm a SummerClan cat after all, I was made for basking the sun. And the wildflower meadow is really nice in the spring, when all the flowers are in bloom. It's not quite as exciting at this time of year. As far as hunting goes, there's a reason we call this the Rabbit Meadow," she indicated the grassy fields stretching in front of them. "It's a good spot if you don't mind running for your prey."

The tom did notice her good side but paid a lot of his attention to what she was saying and tried to not be obvious about his interest. "The Sunning Rocks I have heard of but haven't actually checked them out yet. Are they far from here? I'd love to go check them out...if you have the time and want to of course." Fallenredemption looked down at his grey and peach patched paws when he asked the question, trying hard to not look Dappledapple in the eye. He felt his fur get warm and his face hot.
"Not too far. They're just over the stream, back towards camp," she said flicking her tail in the direction they had come from. I'll show you," she said, giving him a winning smile before trotting off towards the stream and the Sunning Rocks beyond, beckoning for him to follow with her tail as she went.

That smile had him and he knew he was in trouble. Once his mother Willowwhisper had warned him about cats like Dappledapple but he thought they wouldn't be as tempting or as teasing. However he felt himself having a hard time not noticing her looks or that radiant smile of hers. Great Starclan he was in trouble but didn't know what to do so he easily followed her towards there destination. Taking a slow deep breath Fallenredemption tried to regain his composure to calm down before talking again. "So you were born in Summerclan I'm guessing? That's pretty cool being a full blooded Summerclan cat. Have you ever seen some of the territories outside the clan?"
"SummerClan born and raised," purred Dappledapple proudly, slowing her steps slightly to let Fallenredemption draw up beside her. "I haven't seen much of the other territories, just bits and pieces from travelling to the Gatherings," she said. "But they didn't seem very impressive compared to here. Where are you from?" she asked, tilting her head towards the newcomer with the glint of curiosity in her eyes.

"My home used to be Earthclan. My mother lived there while my uncle lived in Waterclan, but he left to Fallclan last that I heard. Recently learned that he doesn't reside there anymore but have no clue whatever happened to him. My mother and I had to leave Earthclan when, well you probably heard what happened to us...anyway the both of us lived as loners for a bit to get our bearings together but she fell very ill. Unfortunately she didn't recover, but I stayed with her till the very end. I didn't travel too far until I came upon Summerclan. I'm suprised my uncle didn't come here instead of Fallclan. It truly is a rather beautiful place to be in if I am being totally honest." Fallenredemption glanced over at Dappledapple to see the curiosity in her eyes before looking away blushing madly. Starclan why couldn't he just pull himself together? The tom worried he was making things awkward so quickly added, "There are most definitely interesting things outside of the territory but to be honest I am glad I settled down. Having a home base is such a nice feeling compared to constantly being on the move and worrying about being eaten at night when your by yourself."

EarthClan? It had been a while since she'd heard that name, but Dappledapple felt a flash of sympathy for the tom. She couldn't imagine how she would feel if SummerClan suffered the same fate - and it seemed like he hadn't had much good luck since then either. "I'm sorry," she said, sincerely. "That sounds rough. I'm glad you ended up here, though," she said on a brighter note.
The stream separating the meadows from the Deep Lands came up before them, and Dappledapple nimbly lead her new acquaintance across the rocks sticking up from between the rushing waters.

"Well thank you, I appreciate that." In honesty he tried to not think about it much or for too long. It wasn't so much the fact that he was sad or traumatized by it but rather it made him think of how kind and warm his mother was. The fact that she was gone forever was what stung him the most but knew that over time the pain would lessen, yet he knew well enough it would never go away. Following in the she cat's path he admired the way she walked with the smooth and light steps. Fallenredemption felt that he himself was rather clumsy and heavier in paw steps.
Making the final leap from the stepping stones to solid land, it was only a few short bounds to the edge of the Sunning Rocks. They stretched out on the streambanks, their wide flat tops warmed by what little winter sunshine was shining overhead. "Here we are," she purred, leaping up to stand on the closest one effortlessly and turning to face Fallenredemption.
"They're a lot better in the spring, when there's a little more sun," she admitted. "But it's still a nice spot." Fallenredemption might have interrupted her hunting plans and maybe was not the most graceful cat she had ever met, but she was beginning to enjoy herself nonetheless.

So this was the Sunning Rocks? Fallenredemption found this area to be very pleasant and could see its allurement come Spring and Summer time. This was an area he would have to come back later to truly enjoy, but for now... "Hey thank you for showing me the Sunning Rocks and your right I can see this place being pretty relaxing. Umm." Fallenredemption wasn't really sure what to say or do now. The tabby tried to think of something, anything to say but nothing came to mind. The longer the silence stretched the more awkward and embarrassed he became. Come on mouse for brains say something already

Dappledapple cocked her head at him expectantly as the silence stretched out. He looked like he had something on the tip of his tongue, but it never seemed to come out. "So," she said finally, "have you seen the rest of the territory already?"

He quickly found something to say out loud, but it came all out in a rush. "IhavenotbutifyouwanttoshowmeaspotyoulikeorthinkiscoolIwouldlovetoseeit.' It was at this moment Fallenredemption knew he goofed up and immediately wished he was someone else entirely. First he couldn't find anything to say and then when he did speak he sounded like a moronic mouse brained babbling buffoon. He looked down at his paws and blushed furiously, a wildfire could start with how hot Fallenredemption felt.
Dappledapple heard something along the lines of "hagdjsgflshjijlovetoseeit", which she happily took as an invitation to embark on a full territory tour. Fallenredemption's tongue-tied admiration was becoming more obvious by the second, which was lending a healthy boost to Dappledapple's ego and by extension her general mood.
"Well, you've already seen the Rabbit Meadow," she said with a purr, leaping gracefully off of her perch atop the Sunning Rocks. "What do you say we head towards the Southern Sea?"

"I-I'd like that." Fallenredemption took a deep calming breath as to not have that talking disaster happen again. If anything he was grateful she didn't laugh at him for his stupid tounge twist and still wanted to show him around the territory. Although he still felt warm all over his embarrassment was slowly fading as he followed the pretty she cat. Once again he admired the she cat as they continued on their rather unexpected journey together around the territory.
