Tenebrousrequiem had a storm cloud hanging over his head as he and Ferventprayer carried Trackingkit back to DayClan, his ears were pressed flat against his head as he carried the kit resolutely to the border.
Unfortunately his angry desire to get the kit back to where it belonged as soon as possible couldn't sustain his muscles forever. And just after crossing the border he had to relent and set Trackingkit down.
Which upon doing so also meant his mouth was no longer occupied, and with them now on the other side of the border. He felt like he was freed up to loosen his tongue.
"Bloodystar, just doesn't want any cat to be happy." Tenebrousrequiem growled furiously tail lashing as he took a moment to try and ease the ache in his neck from angry carrying the kit all the way to the border. "I had a gift picked out for you and you alone. And what do we get?"
"Someone's stolen kit and a stone that has no meaning to you!" Tenebrousrequiem hissed. "There's meddling and then there's whatever is going on in his head. Morale's already low so he goes and shoots it even lower!" He shouted.
"I am so fed up with him pulling on everyone's strings! What is wrong with him. Hasn't he caused enough damage?!" He snarled. "He's just... he's being a-a." Noticing Trackingkit reminded him that there was a kit nearby so he in the last minute curbed his language. "No good piece of mousedung!"
He was panting from how long he'd been holding it in.
He would admit he felt... marginally better. Like a weight had been lifted off his chest after keeping those feelings in for so long.
Though it was short lived as he realized Ferventprayer was still very quiet, and he cast a glance towards her. racerCleaver
Trackingkit bounded cheerfully beside his new parents after they crossed the border, full of energy after being carried so far.
"Piece of mouse dung," he giggled. "Funny. Can we go see Honeysplash yet?" He still needed to visit the chosen one before he went home. They headed back home already, of course, but he didn't mind. He would get to see his family again! He wondered if they missed him. Dragonfly had come to ask his momma before he took him. . . . . and, well, it wasn't exactly his momma that the warrior ended up asking, but Trackingkit didn't care! He liked adventure!

Ferventprayer had been quite most of the journey to DayClan, deep in thought. Tenebrousrequiem had been so angry when the kit had been given to them, and though she understood part of her couldn't help but wonder if she had something to do with it. Had she done something to upset him? Was the idea of having a kit with her really that bad? No she didn't approve of stealing of kits and giving them as gifts, and honestly she knew that she wasn't ready for kits of her own but... she glanced upwards at him shyly from behind. Was this about more than the mess at the gift exchange?
She loved Tenebrousrequiem, but she also loved her father. No she didn't always like the things that he did, but it was always because he wanted to keep them safe. It seemed like everyone hated her father lately, no mater how hard he tried. For example this event, she understood why Tenebrousrequiem was upset and to be honest she was to. She had worked for a long time on that pendent, but Bloodystar had only been trying to spread the love. Had it turned out badly? Yeah it had.
When Tenebrousrequiem stopped, she moved forward "No you have to go home now" she replied looking up and catching his eye "I will carry him for a while" leaning down and picking him up by the scruff to continue onwards
Tenebrousrequiem swallowed as rather than say anything Ferventprayer just picked up the kit and started walking.
"You don't really think Bloodystar did the right thing back there do you?" Tenebrousrequiem asked softly not liking her silence. Surely, surely she had to recognize this wasn't okay. "You know everyone was expecting the gifts to go to someone specific in mind. IF he really wanted to share the love he'd have told everyone up front rather than give everyone a bunch of gifts that shared meaning with someone else!"
"Ferventprayer please, wait a moment, we're not on the territory we need to talk about this." He stressed as she kept walking deeper into DayClan territory. "You have to realize this isn't okay! I know you said I didn't get it when I told you you had to think for yourself, so explain it! Why are you excusing Bloodystar for the things he's done wrong? I know it's hard with him in charge, but you have to at least admit it even if just to me, or even just to yourself that there's something wrong here!"

Ferventprayer had hardly managed to walk more than a few paces holding the kit when Tenebrousrequiem continued on. She couldn't answer with her mouth full of fur, but with every passing moment his words were becoming more and more desperate until she had to sit Trackingkit down
"That is just it, we are out here in the middle of DayClan's territory trying to return a kit that we didn't ask for. This doesn't really seem like the time or place to have this kind of conversation" she snapped, which was rare for the normally more easy going she-cat but she had already been on edge before they had left and he hadn't let up the whole journey. Then her eyes softened letting out a sign "We can talk later, but right now we need to get this kit home and keep our eyes and ears open. We are carrying around a DayClan kit, on their territory, and we don't even know who it belongs to"
With that she picked the kit back up by the scruff to keep going
Tenebrousrequiem huffed. "Oh come on, you know most of DayClan-" He trailed off with a sigh realizing all she knew about the other clans outside of SunClan was that they'd sieged SunClan, so she didn't actually know that DayClan probably wouldn't go crazy on them.
"Look, DayClan's arguably the best place to hash this out. They won't go crazy with us having one of their own, a lot of them are former SunClan cats, and I'm pretty sure Foxbane's here she's like... I dunno Littlestar's mom or something? She'd probably be pissed if someone killed you."
"This is the perfect time to get this out, we're away from everyone and we can finally be honest. Which I'll be honest, I've been needing." He said as he walked beside her. "It just burns me up what Bloodystar is doing to you! He's hurt you time and time again! That's not what a father does!"

Ferventprayer steps didn't falter as she continued on toward DayClan's camp. She had made up her mind, and she had no intentions of stopping and talking about this right now. She needed some time to cool off, but he was being so persistent. At least with all kit fur in her mouth she had an excuse as to why she couldn't answer as she continued on [Short I knowXD]
Trackingkit was not really sure what they were talking about. It didn't matter to him either, he had enjoyed the adventure, but he wondered if he was going to be in trouble for not visiting Honeysplash. That was his one and only job, and he had failed it. Were they going to hold him back from getting promoted because of it? That wouldn't be fair at all, he was quicker and stronger than Racingkit and Dealingkit, or at least their equal...
When they neared the camp, he wiggled free of Ferventprayer's grasp until he dropped to the ground. Then he sprinted into the camp entrance, yowled, "I'M HOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! COME MEET MY NEW PARENTS!"
"Trackingkit!" Soaringbird cried the silver and gray she cat racing over at the sound of her sons voice. The queen having been beside herself with worry when she couldn't find her son. "Wait, new parents?! Who? Where are they?!" She demanded.
"You stink Trackingkit!" Dealingkit noted bouncing over to her brother, and laughing.
Soaringbird took a moment to sniff her son and her eyes narrowed. "SunClan!" She growled tail lashing. "Show yourselves!" She shouted.
Tenebrousrequiem's ears flattened and he drew back, "Come on, this way." He said urging Ferventprayer to move past the camp, but not in the direction of SunClan. They still needed to talk after all. "He's clearly back home if we move fast we can get out of here." racer

The she-cat waited until she heard the queen calling for the kit, before turning away from DayClan's camp. Listening as the kit's family rushed to greet them, the relief clear in their voice. There was little doubt that this is where the kit belonged, but now they should get away before they were noticed. She nodded, following after Tenebrousrequium quietly "They are just going to follow our trail" he murmmered softly, hearing the tone in the queens voice, we can't stop here"
"I wasn't planning on stopping here," Tenebrousrequiem said defensively, "I was going to recommend we stop just outside of DayClan's borders. Outside of SunClan, and somewhere we can take a moment to just take stock and figure things out."
"Because we need to talk about the things your father is doing! They aren't okay!" Tenebrousrequiem went on tail lashing. racer
"I went all the way to SunClan with the pretty tom," Trackingkit boasted to his sister, puffing out his chest. His stubby tail lifted high. He was completely unaware of his mother's stress. He'd just had a fun adventure! "Honeysplash and Teneb... Tener.... the other two! They were very nice to me," he promised, tilting his head back to look innocently up at his mother. "Where did they go?"
(not sure if you wanted them to give chase or just fade out of the thread? cx)

Ferventprayer went quiet, her father being a sore spot for her... Especially after what he just told her that she needed to do, but it was clear that he wasn't going to give up until they talked. Her tail lashed from one side to the other "Fine..." she glanced back towards DayClan's camp before continuing on "but you are just going to get angry with me again...." Jetclaw
Soaringbird looked around, and she opened her mouth she could distantly pick up two cats leaving. She wanted to chase after them, demand why they'd taken her kit. Explain what had happened-
But looking down at Trackingkit, and being just so relieved he was okay, she let out a sigh. "Come along, Trackingkit, you can tell me all about it when we get back to camp." She'd take him to Vixenkismet to make sure he was okay and that SunClan hadn't done anything to him.

Tenebrousrequiem's ears lowered. "Not angry," He said firmly. "Frustrated, yes, but not angry. I can't... I can't hold the way you feel entirely against you, I can be frustrated that you're all tangled up and knots over the cat you see as your father. But it's not fair to be angry at you."
He walked alongside her, "I just want us to be able to talk, and just have the smallest scrap of security of it being out of his reach for once."
