Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Windchaser rolled over in her nest, her bright green eyes wide awake. She could hear the soft snoring of her clanmates as they slept peacefully. Unfortunately, she couldn't sleep and get comfortable. Climbing to her paws, she slipped out of the den, careful not to wake any of her clanmates. Cold air hit her muzzle and she instantly regretting leaving her warm nest. However, she felt like she needed to get out and think. Once she was out of camp, she bolted into the golden fields that sparkled with the tiny shards of frost that clung to them. The ground crunched under her paws as she trudged through the tall grasses. She bounded up onto a boulder in the middle of the fields and stared up at the cloudy sky. The bright moon was just barely visible behind the clouds. After a few moments, snow began to fall gently to the ground, soundlessly. Her breath clouded in front of her nose and she wrapped her tail neatly around her white paws. All was quiet until she heard a crack behind her. Spinning around, fur spiked, claws unsheathed, she called out to the night air, "whose there! Show yourself!"
Soaringdawn emerged out from the woodlands, he blended in far more than usual with his snow white fur, but the orange markings along the top of his head and tail stuck out a bit more generously, "Sorry to startle you, I'm always a little more sneakier in the cold moons," he purred suppressing a mrrow of laughter.
Windchaser would be one to defend the borders and strike up a fight if the situation demanded it, however he couldn't help, but be amused that he was capable of startling her into such a reaction. In his claws were feathers for nesting. In leafbare queens usually wanted these feathers to give to their kits, but being how it was cold out it was unwise for a queen to go out herself and find any or for a father to want to leave his mates side. Because of this he had went off to search for some.
The ginger she-cat relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief. "Dont do that to me, Soaringdawn!" She laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement in the dim light. She notices the feathers in his claws, "collecting feathers at this time? Dawn hasnt even broke yet."
(Sorry I lost the rp, it's on my handmade watchlist now so I don't lose it again. I also found the PI one and that ones saved on my watchlist too)
Soaringdawn gave a guilty look, his paw stirred anxiously into the ground, "I got a bit behind on duties."
He paused for a moment as if deciding whether or not to share why with Windchaser before speaking, his eyes hesitantly meeting hers, "I've been meeting up with Whitemagnolia, from SunClan. When we were trapped there she was the only nice cat. I wouldn't move away forever for her, but I do like to meet her and of course that pushes me back a bit on my jobs."
Shock pulsed through Windchaser and she gave a horrified look. "Sunclan? Your seeing a she-cat in Sunclan?" She never would judge a cat for who they fall in love with but it had become a shocker to her since Sunclan and Dayclan werent exactly on good terms.
"Yes, I'm hoping we'll become mates, but if we had kits I'd like to stay with her for a moon before coming back to DayClan. I know her clan demands to keep the kits, but I wouldn't want it any other way. My mom was from the Regime and she took half of my litter with her and my father kept me, Flyingcolors and Whisperingraven. So I wouldn't want to split up our litter if I had one with her, but I'm just worried... You know how their essentially a cult believing in a Sun God and not allowing any non believers in. I'm hoping they'll allow me to visit and if they won't that Glowstar will allow the kits to visit. It's not like I'd see them at gatherings either, SunClan doesn't allow apprentices to go to gatherings so if I can't visit I wouldn't see them again until they're full grown warriors..." Soaringdawn said, anxiety swarming in his belly.
He'd been holding a lot inside and keeping it to himself and finally saying it all out loud felt good and relieving. Still he felt a bit frightened hearing himself say all the issues outloud.
Windchaser relaxed and padded closer to him. "Glowstar is a very understanding leader. Im sure she will allow the kits to visit." She didnt know how it felt to love someone out of the clan. But she did know how it felt to love someone. However, the tom she cared about probably only saw her as a friend and nothing more though she wished it would be more. "I know how it feels to fall in love. And if you are in love with her, I think you should be with her."
"I think I should too, but I mean. Come on. SunClan's insane, I don't want to live there," He smiled playfully, "If she wants to move here I'd do everything in my power to allow her to. It's just... Well you know what happens when an initiate fails, they're executed. I'm afraid that if I'm still loyal to StarClan that they'll actually kill me."
His paw felt around his neck, "I don't think any cat should be killed because of different beliefs. I just don't think I could take that kind of leap."
He looked back at Windchaser, "But thanks for saying that. I was worried I might be being selfish. I just hope I can have the nerve to tell my siblings and parents. I know this is everything my dad doesn't want. Repeating what he did."
She nodded with a smile,"Sunclan cats are pretty crazy!" She thought for a moment, "I think you should talk to Glowstar. She will understand and might help you come up with a solution. And believe me, your not being selfish. You cant help who you fall in love with."
"Thanks Windchaser, but you're right, she has kits from SunClan too so she'd probably understand more than anyone. Hey, what were you doing out so late anyways?" Soaringdawn asked tilting his head.
