He observed the little flowers carefully, his eyes stretched wide with excitement and wonder. Despite the obvious pull of NightClan being nocturnal, he couldn't help his fascination with the day. And despite all, he just couldn't help himself from slipping out of camp during the day to come to his usual spot, by the river. Today he had opted to walking along the bank, and had stumbled across a clump of beautifully colored flowers. That was the thing. At night, colors looked so dull sometimes. void of life, besides the glow of the moon. During the day, there was so much to see. So many colors, with a vibrancy of life he just didn't want to miss out on.
Nocturnetail crouched to the ground and crept up to peer over the waters edge. Silvery scaled fish darted under the clear surface, causing little ripples at the top of the water. If he knew how to catch them, he would. He'd always been curious what they tasted like. But he refrained from it, and opted to watch the mesmerizing dance instead. After a moment of just sitting, of feeling the wind ruffle at his fur with a slightly warmer breeze, he gave a contented sigh.
Being awake in the sunlight was a guilty pleasure that Duskveil had never grown out of. Ever since she became deputy she became extra cautious about being back in camp before her fellowed clanmates arose from their slumber. Her favorite pass time was watching the sun dip behind the horizon as day turned into night. The colors of dusk fascinated her and were a welcome sign from the duller palette of night. What she hadn't expected was to stumble across another warrior standing by the river. For a moment she felt fear freeze her heart thinking it was an intruder, but as she approached them the scent of Nightclan grew more apparent. She approached the water's edge hoping to not give the younger warrior a fright.
"Fascinating aren't they?" She commented as she peered down at the silvery fish below.

Nocturnetrail jumped at the voice of the she-cat, though it wasn't enough to send him scrambling over the edge and into the river below. And of all cats, the Deputy had caught him daydreaming about daytime. The black and white furred tom regarded her with a moment of fear, before he registered her words. Relaxing slightly, he turned his gaze back to the surface, a soft and dreamy expression pressing over his face. "I know it's weird of NightClan cat's to be out but... yeah! I mean, it's just a shame that its not usual for us to experience both night, and day. Each are wonderful," he said excitedly, his eyes bright with wonder.
"I've been rising early and staying up late since I was a young kitten in the nursery. I was always fascinated by the sun either rising or descending in the sky. The colors that blanket the sky before the stars come out." She commented as she pulled her gaze away from the fish to glance up at the sky for a brief moment.
"I do often wonder what fish taste like. We don't see them in the freshkill pile because they tend to not be active at night when we are awake. We do have clanmates from the former Survival Clans though. I hear that they know how to hunt fish." She stated glancing at the young warrior to see youthful wonder glimmering in his eyes.
