Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The dark Maine coon could hardly sit still at the Academy. The place, while rundown, was like an island. He hadn't seen his family in a week, and he was grateful. Little did he know, they were too as he was now someone else's problem. Ravenpaw a mouth, not a mean one, but nothing came out that didn't have note of seriousness. When he learned that Nocturnepaw had to go to SunClan for whatever reason, he couldn't let it go. He patiently waited for the tom to arrive back at the academy, and as soon as he entered a low growled sounded from Ravenpaw. "Back from training with the enemy? How do I know that you won't tell them about everything?" Granted, this 'everything' was almost nothing, but he valued MoonClan too much to watch it be taken by SunClan again. He narrowed his sun-like yellow eyes. "Well?"
Nocturnepaw tried to ignored Ravenpaw as he entered the academy the black bengal was tired, training all day only to sneak out at night to train more had left little time for sleep these days and it was starting to wear on him. Tonight however his patience for others was exceptionally thin as he turned to face the ebony tom, anger flashing in his amber eyes. "Because I made the same promise you did in front of everyone not to share our secrets" he pointed out. "How do I know you won't go blabbing all of our secrets to anyone who will listen at the next gathering?"
He rolled his eyes. "That's not the same thing. Everyone can go to a Gathering, but almost no one goes to another Clan to train. No one else in MoonClan prays to a dead, and false, god." He did his best to ignore it, but the implication of his own loyalty being questioned angered him, and that anger grew like a storm on the ocean. How dare he, of all cats, questions his loyalty! "Ask me you're already a disloyal scumbag, and you should exiled for even speaking with them." He rose to his paws and began to pace around. "Your dad should go with you. He's so much worse than you. I don't understand why your mom keeps him around."
The black tom rolled his eyes in annoyance but didn't take the bait. "You're probably just jealous. If I'm training with the enemy I'll know all their secrets, all their fighting techniques. I'll be a better Shadowhunter than you could ever hope to be, because while you're curled up in your nest asleep I'll still be training." Nocturnepaw brushed by Ravenpaw with a light shrug as he made his way farther into the academy, headed towards the training room. "Did it ever even occur to you just who my father is spying for? Surely not the clan who refuses to even see him as a warrior. It's obvious he's spying on SunClan for my mom."
"But you're becoming one of them, idiot. That place is fully of nutcases and Bloodystar. Before your time is up there, you will be praying to the Sun God. A dead god. Don't tell me I didn't warn you." He wasn't going to let Nocturnepaw get away without hearing him out completely, so he followed after him towards the training room. "And your dad's doing a great job, being in MoonClan and all. It helps to be a spy if you live in the other Clan." He laughed. "Did they already knock the brains out of you over there? Or did you ever have any to begin with, your mother having kits with a SunClan cat and all that."
"Did you get your brains knocked out over here?" he retorted, rolling his amber eyes at the tom. "My dad isn't a SunClan cat, he's actually leader of a rogue gang and did you forget my mom was a SunClan cat too? Selene chose her after she got here." There was nothing Ravenpaw could say to him that would actually provoke him, he still couldn't stand the vexing cat however. What was his deal anyway?
"Don't you have anything better to do than pick on me?"
He rolled his eyes. "Sure, I guess. Maybe he isn't a SunClan cat, but he still worshipped the Sun God right? At that point they're the same thing." While he wanted to rail into Marvelstar for once worshipping the Sun God, he couldn't quite justify insulting Selene at this point. She wasn't half the imbecile that the Sun God was at least. "And obviously not. You're just around and talking, so... what better? Are you gonna go get your mom to tell me to shut up?"
"Why would I do that? You're not so much of a nuisance that I can't handle you myself" he retorted his words breaking off into a chuckle at the end. "Would you like to do something better?" he offered, turning to look at Ravenpaw. "You seem bored, maybe some productive activity will help lighten your bitter mood."
"I mean, I wouldn't call myself bitter. I'm not giving you a hard time for no reason, you know." The dark tom rose to his paws and started to pace around their small room. "I know that I'm right to be suspicious about you. If your mom wasn't the leader, she would be too if she had any sense in her at all." He met the other tom's eyes. "SunClan traditions be damned. If you are MoonClan, then you don't train in SunClan."
"I don't have a choice!" he hissed. his true annoyance finally showing through. "You think I like sneaking around and having cats who are supposed to be my friends and peers not trust me? I don't! SunClan doesn't even know I'm here." his tail lashes as he began to pace back and forth in front of Ravenpaw, his amber eyes filled with anger. "Bloodystar is forcing us to train in SunClan and we're not supposed to leave until we're warriors, but I want to be a Shadowhunter, and part of the Clave so bad I sneak back here every night so I don't miss my training."
He raised an eyebrow. "Bloodystar is forcing you, a MoonClan cat, to do something for SunClan? Huh..." He looked to the ceiling and let out a contemplative sigh. "You know, something just doesn't quite add up. Like it's weird that a MoonClan cat is taking orders from a SunClan cat. That just seems... wrong." He smiled at him, and he did his best to make it as fake as he could. "It's almost like your taking orders from him. I have a serious question for you... do either Marvelstar or Ryn call you 'sonny' or something like that?"
