Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Carrottop slowly pulled the blindfold off of Dapplebreeze revealing the vast sandstone gorge before them "Dapplebreeze, I have waited so long for us to go on our first date, and I wanted to do something to make it really special. You see I have like you for a long time, but I wanted to wait until you were ready for a relationship before I brought up my own feelings... but now that you know I wanted to shout it from the highest mountain top"
He took in a deep breathe giving her a sweet smile "This song is for you"
He looked out over the canyon and began singing loudly
"(based on Just the Way Song by Blanco Brown and Parmalee) I love you just the way the Sun God made you, even when you make a mistake. Tryin' to hide what you don't like about yourself, but I say you don't have to fake.
The way you wake up with your fur in a mess little sleepies in the corner of you eyes The way time seems to fly on by every time I'm by your side
The little wrinkle every time you smile the nights we can't stop laughing At a joke we have heard about a thousand times You know, the ones that make you sigh

Dapplebreeze felt the blindfold slip off of her and she took in the beautiful view. Aka, she turned her head away from the rock and turned to her rock. Her most beautiful view. The tom with the silly little curled ears and the constant smile. She loved him.
As his song came to a close, the Janus surged forward and licked his cheek roughly. "You didn't have to do all that for me," she whispered, pulling away and looking into his eyes. "You're really gonna make me put in work to outdo you, huh."

Carrottop didn't have the best singing voice in the world, but he didn't care. This wasn't about being good or bad at singing, it was about shouting to the whole world how he felt about his mate. He didn't care who heard, in fact he prayed to the Sun God that they had. Dappledbreeze was the most beautiful she-cat in the clan and she deserved to be recognized as such.
"I didn't have to, I wanted to"
His lip turned upwards in a smirk, and before she could react he pounced played with a purr rumbling in his throat, as he licked her both of her cheeks in turn gazing down into her eye. He had seen her grab the fertility herbs, but hadn't mentioned them. If she wanted to talk about starting a family then he would be more than happy to, but he also wouldn't put any pressure on her. It would happen when she was ready, he could wait.
"and if you think this is all I have in store for the two of us you are sadly mistaken" a mischievous glint in his eyes
Her yellow eyes reflected his as her mouth turned up in a wide grin. The pounce had caught her off guard and she let herself go down to the ground, laughing. He had some size on her since he was a little older. Dapplebreeze slithered away, sleek spotted fur glossy in the light.
"You have more, huh? Impress me then, Carrottop." Show me what you got, she added in her head. If she was really going to start a family with him, she wanted to see what he could do for her. What he was willing to do for her. Everything in between. She wouldn't eat those herbs until she knew for sure this was right. It didn't matter how much she loved him now - she refused to have a repeat of her childhood.
Carrottop whined a little, as Dapplebreeze slithered out of his grasp to get to her feet. He would have been content just to lay there staring into her eyes for the rest of the afternoon, but it seemed like she was impatient to get to the next part of their date. Oh well, the moment had passed for now. There would be time for cuddling later "Someone is in a hurry" he chuckled, getting to his own paws
"but thats not going to get you any where" she tsked his tongue, with a mischievous grin. "We have all day together with no duties, and I plan on making the most of it" he motioned for her to fallow when he pulled out a big piece of hollowed out bark that was big enough for them both to stand on "ever been canyon surfing?"
Canyon surfing? This tom was crazy. How dangerous of him, how - fun. Her heart was already beating faster from adrenaline. Just the thought of sliding down that canyon on a piece of bark was sending her body into alert mode.
Dapplebreeze brushed her whole body against him, winding around - Sun God, had he always been that soft? - and keeping her eyes on the bark. "'Course I haven't. I like keeping my fur on."

"mm well we will try to keep that beautiful coat on you but not promises" he chuckled climbing aboard and bringing Dappledbreeze with him onto the wood "How it works is you dig your claws in" he purred "and then when you are ready we will shove off the edge here and go sliding down to the bottom"
Carrottop wasn't sure if she would like the idea or not, but apparently she was into it. He knew that she got tired of being coddled, since everyone was afraid to let her live her own life where she made a Janus at a young age.
She giggled - oh God, a giggle? ew - at his words. If he wanted to play dangerous, she would go along with it. It was a long way down, but with the slide, it probably wouldn't take too long. Heart moving up to her throat, she shifted on the wood and dug every single claw in. Her body was pressed as tightly to Carrottop as she could get it without shoving him off.
"I'm ready," she nodded, grinning despite the anxiety. "But to tell you the truth, I'm more worried about your precious coat than my own."

"So nice of you to be concerned" he chuckled leaning into his mate as she prepared herself "Well here goes nothing" he pushed the bark of the edge, sending the sliding down the embankment and a high speed. He could feel the wind tugging at the edges of his face backwards as he tried to keep his eyes open to help steer them around the obstacles "to the left" he gently pressed her weight to the left side to avoid the rock coming up
She let him push against her and she leaned heavily on her left side, breathing a sigh of relief as they avoided the rock jutting up. "That was close," she cried over the wind, eyes watering. They kept trying to close but she preferred them open so she could keep them both alive. For another couple of seconds the stretch was smooth and let out an excited yelp as they flew down the canyon. "Wheeeeeee!"

The rest of the ride went smoothly, as their bark finally came to a stop and the bottom of the canyon. Carrottop's ears that normally folded over had been forced upright, his eyes watering from the dry wind. Yet the tom was grinning, clearly not to bothered by the experience despite his heart hammering in his chest. He gave her a swift kiss on the cheek. He could see by the expression on her face that she had enjoyed it to "Well now that I have your heart pumping" he winked, his tail falling over her shoulders to guide her "Time for the next part of our date"
She lifted herself up from her crouch, legs obviously shaking from being so tense. A shaking laugh left her mouth as Carrottop's tail drifted over her. Dapplebreeze leaned her nose up to flop one ear gently back town before following him away from the wood.
"What are we doing next?" She wasn't sure she could handle much more excitement, but anything she got to do with Carrottop would make her happy.

Carrottop chuckled "Well it wouldn't me much of a secret if I told you, now would it" he teased gently letting his tail tickle her shoulder. After reorienting himself, he led her into one of the tunnels. It was dark, no light entering to the space the further they got from the surface. He kept his tail firmly on her shoulders to lead her through the darkness. The a soft glow appeared, like a soft white light as they came to what SunClan called lover's land. A heart shaped pool with mysterious glowing mushrooms. He had prepared a little meal for them them by the water's edge
