Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
happy holidays ! here's a human thread ♥ i always just human au my classic characters because i am deeply attached to Kerrigan and there's the framework of classic university, but you don't have to!!
Kerrigan sat with her legs crossed like a first grader at story time. Unlike said first grader, though, she wasn't sitting on the ground. Kerrigan would probably rather be caught dead than sitting on the ground. Instead, her slender body was on a wall towards the edge of the university, her back leaned against the pillar. People weren't really supposed to sit here, that was pretty clear by the fact that the ledge's intention to help people climb the stairs probably, but Kerrigan pretty much made her own rules. She played the game of life the way she wanted to.
She removed her gaze from her international relations textbook to glance around the courtyard. People came and went, each of them bundled up and hustling to the buildings they intended to be in to escape the cold. It was at most forty degrees outside, and that was probably a stretch. Kerrigan couldn't tell the difference between 30 and 40 degrees, quite honestly. It all felt the same to her.
She sighed, before reaching for the coffee that she had placed not so wisely on the step below her. Unfortunately, she hadn't been paying enough attention, and the Brook clique's mighty leader happened to reach for it at the same time as someone else was trying to climb that step. Her eyes widened as the coffee spilled across the other's leg.

"Ow, damn, crap!" The climber swore as the coffee spilled upon her leg. Dressed in a bomber jacket a couple sizes too big for her, some black jeans, and combat boots was the fiery red head Natalia Kshatriya, a criminal justice major with an attitude. She glared up at Kerrigan as the pain set in from the hot coffee. "The hell?!"

Kerrigan blinked twice at the outburst of the other. Her hazel eyes squinted at the loss of a coffee. Of course, economically, she was not hurting, but it still felt like a four dollar waste. She then transferred her gaze to the woman whose explitives had then caught her attention. A manicured eyebrow raised, and for a moment, the clique leader debated whether or not to apologize or make a scene.
"I'm quite impressed with the fact that out of all of those words, only two were PG," she decided upon after a moment. She then reached for a napkin from her pocket. "Bad timing, I guess."

(Oh hey, no problem. I thought I made you mad or something and you quit responding because of that. My bad about the censoring, wasn't sure if it was alright as long as none of the word was horrible recognizable.)
"Yeah, bad timing." Natalia said in a tone not indicating a friendly demeanor. She dropped her bag and pulled out some Starbucks napkins and started to try to dry the spot. Her messenger bag sat on one of the steps, and within it, Kerrigan could spot a rather lengthy legal textbook alongside a fancy writing set and some notebooks.

nah i just don't do the bookmarking option so i lose threads really easily. the censoring might have been fine the way you did bc i know abrieviations like wtf are okay, but i was unsure and didn't want it to have it be an issue c:
Kerrigan wasn't necessarily one that enjoyed pleasantries. Her cool demeanor was seldom disrupted by situations like this, but the flower-wearing woman was not what one may call overtly friendly, particularly to those she didn't know. Of course, there were exceptions to that rule; she was a diplomat and a deal maker. If a person seemed to be of any benefit to her, that could change. Noticing the law textbook, she wondered if this person could be one of those that did prove to be such.
"A law student?" she asked, her voice curious but still detached. "There aren't many of those here." Her words were casual and clipped, but her gaze shown just the slightest amount of interest.

"Coulda fooled me," Natalia said. "Plenty in my class, at least. Not that I see them much outside of class anyway."
Natalia was your textbook loner, often found alone, brooding over a nice cup of coffee surrounded by textbooks and homework at the nearby cafes. She didn't seem to care much for the company of most people, and was never really seen conversing with her classmates and other University students. Her favorite company was a good book and a better cappuccino.
She finished drying the spot on her pants as best she could, rolled up the napkins in her hand, and stuck them in her pocket, all using her left hand. She hadn't so much as moved her right since the two met.
