Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Are you sure we are going the right way? If anything it's colder now than it was when we left..." Bloodystar asked his half-sister, Discordantmelody, as he led the patrol of SunClan cats down a ridge toward the sound of running water. He had been feeling like something was off ever since they left SunClan's border but he hadn't voiced his concerns until now; he didn't want any cat to think that he'd made some kind of mistake.
"Hmm, that is strange, last time I went to SummerClan it was super warm and beautiful. But we are going the right way," The calico answered evenly, also she had that tell-tale smirk on her face, like she was in on some joke no one else was. A look like that would have alarmed Bloodystar if that wasn't the was expression Discordantmelody always wore, "We've gotten this far so we may as well keep going."
"Alright..."
~*~ SOME TIME LATER ~*~
Bloodystar frowned as he looked up the frigid beach, the water wasn't totally frozen solid but had a sheet off ice over it that were thicker in some places more than other. Some patches of snow were piled up here and there and any cat who got close to the water's edge was buffeted with chilly gusts of wind. There were no flowers, no lush greens, just an uncomfortable winter landscape you'd see anywhere with just a little less snow and ice.
Well... He'd be dead before he admitted this trip was a bad idea. He'd have to make it work. Sucks that he couldn't use his amulet, though...
"Set up the food along the tree line," He announced as he stepped in front of the assembled crowd, " Once that's done, you can all explore the land as much as you'd like so long as you can still see the sea. There's plenty of food and water so just relax, have a good time, get to know one another, and you can talk to Discordantmelody as our resident expert of SummerClan if you have any issues."

TLDR:
Bloodystar leads a patrol of SunClan couples (basically anyone can come except for kits) to SummerClan's northern beach for what he believes to be a romantic beach vacation day. What he doesn't know is that SummerClan, despite its name, is cold, snowy and frozen this time of year just like everywhere else... and SummerClan isn't as accommodating to visitors as they were rumored to be...
Aurorasky's teeth chattered loudly, her jaw vibrating from the action as a result, The short furred tortie was starting to mildly regret agreeing to come to SummerClan's frozen beach but, she had dragged Mountain along, which hadn't exactly been an easy feat but it was one she had managed. So she grit her teeth and grinned trying to muster up all of her usual enthusiasm.
"I-it's ch-chillier than I th-th-thought." she stated, tilting her head to look at the massive tom standing next to her, at least he made a great wind barrier, for the most part. Silently she vowed to steer clear of the water entirely, afraid she might lose a paw to it's icy chill.
Mountain was very glad he had come. His neck was outstretched as he soaked in the icy winter surrounding them, seemingly unaware of the cold permeating the air. His thick stature fended off the cold almost as well as his coat: his fur wasn’t that long, but it was thick and bristly. The clan didn’t know it, but his homeland was colder than this... and nearby.
“Chilly?” the initiate echoed, and shook his head. “Nice here. Go for swim?”
"A-a S-swim?" This time when she stuttered, he'd at least think it was still from the cold and not that she was caught completely off guard by his words. Mountain had become such a prominent figure in SunClan that she often forgot that he and Singedwolf weren't actually born in SunClan. Her brown eyes flicked to the icy waters then back to him, how could she possibly say no when he seemed so excited? In the end she just didn't have the heart to refuse him such a simple request.
"S-sure, we can go for a swim." she forced a grin, which was closer to a grimace than anything else as she bounded towards the water's edge stopping just out of reach of the tide.
Mountain stared at her blankly as he waited for a response. She repeated what he said, a swim, did that mean something? It didn't occur to him that she was nervous about entering the water. His gaze roamed past her as he waited, his attention already adrift as he watched the other cats line up the prey that they had brought. Mountain hadn't gotten to carry any prey. Or, rather, he'd started by carrying prey, forgot and dropped it, and someone else had to pick it up.
His head snapped back to Aurorasky at her agreement and he grinned. "Swim!" he agreed. He bounded after her, easily bowling her over and sending her flying from the edge and into the open lake without hesitation, plunging in deep to the icy water. His fur was thick, but not quite enough to shield him from the sudden shock, and he skidded to a halt with a whine. The large tom scrambled back toward shore, inadvertently launching himself past the she-cat in the process and shoving her deeper into the waves.
One second she was on the shore, the next she wasn't. The shock of the cold enough to force the air from their lungs, and pierce their skin like a thousand tiny needles, racking her with a pain she'd never experienced before. The icy water making any movements she made unbearable as she fought to break the surface. Gasping as her head bobbed above the water she'd barely had any time to catch her breathe before Mountain had barreled past her knocking her farther adrift leaving the she-cat to struggle and fend for herself as she tried to paddle back to shore. Repeatedly getting smacked the the face by waves as she did so.
Before Aurorasky could slip beneath the waves again, a strong pair of jaws suddenly grabbed onto her scruff and dragged her up onto the icy shore. Glancing up, her gaze was met by a one-eyed tabby tom, who stared back at her with exasperation. "Ya probably shouldn't be in the water," he meowed simply. "The last cat who fell in by accident never made it out. The one who tried t' save 'em barely escaped with their own life, got severe frostbite, an' had t' retire. Darlin', ya got too much life in ya eyes fer that t' be your way to go."
To say Ratstar wasn't exactly peachy about this unexpected visit would be a severe understatement. A Summerclan patrol had spotted the intruders from a distance, and had immediately ran back to inform their leader, who then grabbed a patrol to check things out for himself. Good news: if the small pile of prey and disgruntled couples were anything to go by, this wasn't an attack. Bad news: if the small pile of prey and disgruntled couples were anything to go by, they'd probably be here a while. Trekking across the sand to approach Bloodystar, the Summerclan leader took a deep breath to calm himself. The High Priest had certainly made an...impression at gatherings, with a reputation that preceded him by miles, but it couldn't be that bad...right? "Bloodystar," he greeted, dipping his head to the other leader with the most polite smile he could muster. "Ain't it quite a surprise t' see ya. What brings the likes of Sunclan t' lil' ol' Summerclan?"

Crimsonlife hung back but still listened to the conversation Ratstar was having with the SunClan cat. Why they had come here was clear to him. It was the middle of leafbare and their prey must be scarce just like it is everywhere else during the cold season. Look at that scrawny pile of food they brought with them on their journey. Just let them try to take our prey! He bared his fangs slightly in a snarl while his claws flexed in and out in anticipation of a fight.

Unseenlights pressed herself to Duskslayer, the cold wind cutting through even her thick coat. The idea had sounded nice enough. Going to a warm beach to relax for a while with your loved one and just enjoying spending the day together. But why was it colder here than in SunClan? "How long before Bloodystar admits this was a mistake?" she murmured softly to her mate "But hey a date is a date, so long as we are together I don't mind" she wrapped her tail around his pulling him close "that means no working today" she added sternly Faith
Among the patrol following Ratstar was Satinshore, who could have died at the heroic act of her leader. "Wow, you're so lucky to get saved by Ratstar," she tittered as she brushed right up alongside Aurorasky, though she remained carefully distant so as not to get her luscious pelt wet. "Isn't he just so handsome and brave?" She cast a knowing glance down at the waterlogged SunClan cultist, her cat eyebrows waggling.
Duskslayer repressed a laugh before he couldn't any longer. His laughter bursting out with amusement, "Good one," He said, nudging the side of her face.
She could feel his paw circling around hers in light ticklish motions, "No work? You're the best boss ever, you're always telling me that," He mused. This time he moved in closer giving her a warm kiss on her cheek where, "How about we collect she shells at the shesore... Collect SEA shells at the SEA shore. Why is that hard to say," He said giving his head a small shake at the tongue twister.
Suddenly his attention moved from Unseenlights to Ratstar. Observing the altercation between the two leaders he looked back to his mate, "Ooh, let's pretend we're sneaking onto private property in order to find the lost shell of StormClan. StormClan can be this underwater clan where cats have gills and can breathe under water. Once we find the lost shell of StormClan it'll awaken the old gods who will rise StormClan to the surface in the form of an island for one night only."
Honeyfrost was just as thrilled at the idea of being saved by Ratstar. She joined her beautiful bestie, Satinshore, and nearly swooned. "I've never seen a more selfless and exciting move. Good save Ratstar," she said, giving the one-eyed leader her best eyelid batting.
Rosethorn, on Ratstar's other side, stifled a groan. The Deputy was not good as a fighter, but thankfully it looked like there would not be much fighting going on. She watched the Sunclan cats with curiosity, vaguely noting that this was her brother-in-law's former clan, and she had not heard... the best things about them. Still, they didn't seem hostile. Yet.

Vintagepaw watched the events unfolding, making her way over to the she-cats that seemed to be swooning over Ratstar "EW, uhm excuse me but Bloodystar is so much better than your Ratstar. Just look at his luxurious coat, and those eyes! Come on, Ratstar doesn't even have both of his eyes. Bloodystar is far superior than that ugly old fleabag" she tilted her nose up, refusing to acknowledge their opinions.
While she was not talking up Ratstar, she did stand with the SummerClan before. Her scent was distinctively not SummerClan, but she had her reasons for staying there. When she saw Bloodystar, a grin formed on her face. A quick look told her that Azura wasn't with him, and oh she had some words for Bloodystar. Igziq sauntered passed Vintagepaw and practically burst out laughing. "Please. I'm not fan of Ratstar, but at least he can hold onto a girlfriend." She raised her voice to shout at Bloodystar. "Heya, where's ya girlfriend!?" She brought a paw up and rolled it down her cheek like a tear. "Is she dead? So sad."
"Bloodystar does have the advantage when it comes to eyes," Cygnus agreed, facing Vintagepaw with a non-threatening stance. He was a full member of the Ratstar fan club because it sounded amusing, but he wasn't head-over-heels in love like the other two SummerClan cats. "But Ratstar? He's got the brains. And this is his territory, so your little group here is outnumbered." The tabby shrugged.
Mountain frowned as he sat his friend pulled out of the water. "He hurt you?" he wondered, flexing his claws.

Vintagepaw rolled her eyes "Ok come on now, Bloodystar is far more intelligent that cat named after a stupid rat" she she cat had a dreamy look in her eyes as she looked to the leader "I don't see Ratstar taking his clan on vacations" she purred warmly, looking over to some of the other female apprentices who were also in Bloodystar's fan club
"N-no" Aurorasky coughed, before taking a shuddering breath, her lungs felt as though they had frozen solid in her chest and she made a personal note not to take a deep breath for a while. She resisted the urge to shake the water from her pelt, not wanting to drench her saviors in the icy water.
"He didn't hurt me, I'm alright" she tried to assure her friend, pressing up against him. It was the first time she'd ever touched the large tom but right now she was too desperate for warmth to care that she had obviously just crossed some kind of boundary.
“He’s taking you for vacation... on another clan’s territory. Which means this might turn into a fight if our wise leader doesn’t stop it. That’s why I’m here, by the way, for the fight.” Cygnus grinned. He loved the idea of fight, having never been in one himself. “He should have take you on vacation somewhere else. That would have been smart.” He paused. “Also... yeah, he’s named after a rat... but your leader is literally named blood? What’s your name, anyway?”
A low warning growl rumbled in the massive tom’s chest, vibrating his entire frame. “Shouldn’t have touched you,” he muttered, but he put his claws away. He would fight another day but for now the puny one-eyed old man would live a few more minutes.
Rosethorn watched the bickering with an unamused expression, preferring to keep removed from all of this. She was normally outspoken, but with the promotion she felt a sense of obligation to strive for maturity in the face of... whatever this was. "You're not going to let them stay here, right?" She murmured to Ratstar. "They're just here to stir up drama."
