The pair take a romantic walk under the light of the moon, when they are presented with a mysterious body at the edge of the wasteland. Can they figure out what happened to the cat? stardanceJadie
"Hmmmmmmmmmmm," Discordantmelody leaned over the corpse, looking it over for cuts and contusions, but nothing really stood out to her. If she were to guess the poor guy had gotten his neck broken from a fall or... something else just as unfortunate, "What do you think, Xapham? I never really had a taste for the stuff but you never know what kind of kinks you initiates have. I'll try anything once."
It would definitely unnerve most cats to talk about cannibalism so casually. Freaking Xapham out or turning him on seemed equally as exciting to her, so she didn't bother trying to be a more, for lack of a better term, palatable feline.
Xapham did not have the stomach of some of his peers and he was well aware of it. No, he was not grossed out by the dead body itself. He had seen plenty of those during his time in the city. He found them quite monotonous and boring, but the mention of cannibalizing them... he just could not handle that. He immediately felt his lunch come for another visit, and he whipped around as the mouse saw the world again.
"Uhhhhhhhh..." He panted and turned back around to face the dead body and his date. "Nope. No thanks. Don't ever suggest that again." He took a step closer to the body. "It's a strange kill. Maybe blunt force?"
"I'm just kidding, Xapham," Discordentmelody chuckled and flipped the body onto its proper side, revealing a deep gash in it's neck, probably the jaw marks of some bigger creature... Not any one that she recognized, though, "Strange, usually predators eat the prey they kill. It doesn't look like another cat did this."
Tasting the air, Discordantmelody tried to pin-point the scent of the killer, but the wasteland was unforgiving. The breeze and lack of cover had erased the scent entirely, however, evidence of paw-prints remained. Obscured by sand, of course, "Say, want to go on a witch hunt?"
