Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pineneedle gazed at his reflection in the small pool of water, eyeing the little patches of skin on his pelt where he'd torn out his fur. It was growing back slow and steadily, but in the meantime, he was forced to endure everyone's gazes--gazes that ranged from curious, to filled with concern and pity, to filled with vague disgust. He let out a short huff of air, rising up on all four paws and turning to leave. If he could just last a few more weeks, then everything would go back to normal, and people would stop giving him those looks. Right?

Theia had decided to stay, at least for a little while to giver her siblings time to recognize their own greatness. They seemed reluctant to admit that they were gods and goddesses ,but one in particular seemed even more mortal than the others. She approached, the young apprentices racing ahead of her and placing leaves so she didn't have to walk upon the ground "You know, If you just accepted that you were a God your fur would grow back in, right?"
Pineneedle gave Theia an unreadable look. Not this again. "Maybe," he murmured, casting his gaze back to his reflection. Speeding up his fur regrowth did sound tempting, but he wasn't sure going along with Theia was the right move. "What if it turns out the ultimate form of a god is completely hairless? Then I'll really be in a bind."

She chuckled "Then you are grateful for what you were meant to become, and show the world what it truely means to be a god" she stood proudly, not an imperfection to be seen on her pristine coat "We don't concern ourselves with the opinions of mortals" sure she sounded full of herself, but she was a goddess and she wasn't about to let her brother look down upon himself no matter what he looked like "If you loose all your fur, then cats will be tearing theirs off to follow your example"
Pineneedle grimaced and looked down at the pond. Briefly, he imagined himself in his reflection as being completely hairless. It was not a nice image, and he suspected it wouldn't look good on most other cats either. "Don't say that," he shivered, and closed his eyes. "I don't want everyone around me to be hairless. I would feel vaguely nauseous all the time."

She chuckled "It is a rather unappetizing thought, then we will just have to get that fur of your fixed" she raised one of her paws "Girls, go and get the tonic" the two fluffy white apprentices bowed, as one went scurrying of in search of what her goddess had requested. "One of the many advantages of being a goddess is having access to all the things this world has to offer"

Theia shrugged "You can ask, but that doesn't mean you will get an answer" holding out her paw as the apprentice returned with a vile. She used her teeth to open it, pouring some onto her paw and then gently rubbing it onto one of Pineneedles bald spots. It smelled wonderful and herbal, perhaps some sort of flower? "This should help your fur return back to normal" he placed the vile at her brothers feet "I use it in my beauty regiment every morning, it encourages healthy and beautiful hair growth" she flipper her own silken fur to prove a point "Just rub it in once a day, and stop plucking at it"
"Stop plucking at it, huh...?" Pineneedle sighed, staring back at his reflection. He placed a paw on the vial, staring at it curiously. "That's easy to say. I wish they made a tonic for the plucking, too." He frowned; he hadn't really expected the stuff to work, but he couldn't deny the strange sensation he was feeling across his bald spot. The strange, slightly painful sensation.
"It's kind of burning," he admitted, turning to look at Theia with an alarmed expression. "...Should it be burning?"

"Oh that?" she chuckled "Of course it is supposed to hurt a little, its healing up your wounds and working on regrowing your hair. I would be more worried if it didn't burn a little" Theia used it on herself a lot and had never had any trouble "It means that it is working. Beauty doesn't come free"
Pineneedle resisted the urge to jump into the pond they were sitting by. "I mean--I guess, but is it really supposed to burn this much? And itch?" He peered down into the water nervously--his skin looked fine, but now that his anxiety had started, he couldn't get it to stop. "Th-Theia! Do you have a tonic to cure allergic reactions as well?"

Theia blinked "Why would I need such a thing?" she tilted her head to the side "I am goddess, I am not allergic to anything in the mortal world. Why would you ask about something so silly?"
"W-well, are you allergic to anything in the immortal world?" Pineneedle asked, wondering if the feeling of his throat tightening up was an allergic reaction or if it was simply the beginnings of a bizarre panic attack. Neither option seemed pleasant.
