It was over.
Princecharming couldn't really believe it. Her life had revolved around this play for the past several months, and now the actors had their curtain calls. The first and last showing was over, and the applause still rang in her ears days later. Her heart swelled with pride, for herself and for everyone else. They all worked so hard. As much as Princecharming was ready to jump to another project, her body wasn't. She worked herself to the bone, paws raw to where the light dusting of snow on the ground was nice. But it led to her walking aimlessly, her muse gone as quickly as it showed up. Letting out a very loud sneeze, she rubbed her nose with the back of her paw. Undignified. Not like her at all. It was frustrating yet freeing.
"Bless you," called a light voice. The wheat quivered as Owlfable straightened up from where she lay hunting and smiled a greeting. "You're not allergic to me, are you? I was looking forward to joining your next play. The last one was spectacular." Owlfable had gone to see the performance, sat right up front, and she hadn't stopped laughing the entire time. The absurdity of the whole show had appealed to her, and she found herself wishing she had joined the first time around. Not as an actor, she couldn't bear to be the one on stage, but perhaps helping behind the scenes.

Princecharming slammed her paw down when a voice called out to her, not wanting the owner to see her like that. When she emerged from the wheat, Prince recognized her. She always went above and beyond to remember and cater to her fans, but Owlfable's face was fresh in her mind. She sat right at the front, so whenever Prince peeked out to see how the actors were doing, she'd meet Owl's gaze.
"I pray not, Owlfable. I'd hate to not see your beautiful face in the crowd." The next play, right. She'd have to start thinking of ideas. But wait, she said join? "Or do you mean as an actor or backstage? Anywhere you put your talents is all the better for it." Princecharming purred, like the sneeze hadn't even happened.
