Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was the middle of the night and all were asleep, dreaming in the nest of good times and warmer days to come. All but Lostelm. His was more of a nightmare, a moment of images, sounds, all flashing in a glimpse but not truly focusing on anything or making any sense. He could hear a voice, a yell, the sound of a monster roaring by, and rain pattering down. They were mere glimpses of....something. A dream...a memory, maybe? It was hard to tell, it all happened so quickly and the faces were blurry at that. The voices muffled and drowned out by the rain and monster. What woke him was the pain, or memory of the pain. The tom woke in a start, shooting up in his nest beside his mate and surely waking a few others. He felt sufocated and thus quickly left his nest for some fresh air outside of the den.
It was supposed to be Alabastercharm's shift for guarding the camp, but the white-furred tom had complained of a headache, so Wispycloud had offered to take his place. She was always taking on extra work, it was just her nature, but at the moment she really was kicking herself for insisting Alabastercharm got some rest when truly she probably needed a good night's rest just as bad as he did.
"Ah well... At least the sky is clear. The stars are beautiful tonight," She murmured to herself just as Lostelm made his appearance. For a moment she panicked seeing her mate appear out of seemingly thin air, they hadn't been together long so she still cared about how she looked, sounded and smelled like whenever he was around. During guard duty, well, she let her guard down some. The wispy fur she'd been named after stuck out at odd angles and her usual even-faced composure was more relaxed. If anything it made her seem younger, "What are you doing out so late, Lostelm? Another nightmare?"
Lostelm was pale, unfocused, and out of breath. Whatever he'd just seen was unpleasant at best. But the dream was fading, and for the life of him, he couldn't recall what it was about. It was a constant thing as of late, these dreams be could never remember after full waking up. It sucked. They could be keys to his past, to who he was an yet he could remember nothing about them. Hearing the voice of his lover, he paused, took a deep breath and tried to smile for her sake. "Sorry, I didn't wake you did I?' He'd gone to bed long before her, tired for the constant nightmares, dreams, memories, whatever they were.

Redflame was returning to the warriors den after visiting the dirt place when she heard voices. Curious as to what was going on in the middle of the night, she followed the sounds. It could be a number of things including an invasion, perhaps. "Is everything alright?" she asked as she approached. Upon seeing Wispycloud and Lostelm in conversation, she felt the skin under her facial fur grow warm. She had stumbled on a lover's tryst by mistake! But there was no going back now.
Lostelm was startled so much by another voice that the tom visibly jumped. "S-sorry did...we didn't wake you, right?" Man, did his nightmare wake everyone? He'd feel awful if that was the case. Looking at Wispycloud, the tom hoped she'd be able to help him explain. Usually he was able to handle his nightmares without waking anyone, but this had seemed far more real than all the others. More....more of a memory than a random nightmare.

"Oh, uh, no. I don't think so," Redflame replied still feeling self conscious by even being there. "I just had to..." She had to think quick! Now that she's a warrior she wanted to talk like one too. Warriors don't talk about going to the dirt place, do they? That's what kits talk about! "Uh, get up for a bit. Sorry to intrude," she concluded.
