Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lethe considered herself a kind and gentle soul. She was charitable, honorable, and she would never abandon her family. She had taken on the added responsibility of nursng and raising five more children alongside her blood related two out of the goodness of her heart. However, the qualities that made her a sensible and generous being didn’t outweigh the endless curiosity she experienced concerning said adopted offspring. As a child herself, she was told tales of the elements — legends of powerful beings who had the ability to bend nature to their will. It was both frightening and thrilling. As a child, she would have nightmares about the power the element-bending gods and goddesses could possess and started to see the presence of them in everything she did. In hindsight, she knew her mother must have regret telling the child so much about something that obviously affected her, but Lethe was grateful for having her eyes opened to the possibilities of this world.
In the end, she knew that was why she took them in. Yes, she felt horrible knowing each one had lost their parents in some way, either abandoned by them or having lost them to the reaper, she didn’t know. She only ever stumbled upon them in the aftermath. She considered it a twisted talent of hers; a super power, always able to find the weak and helpless. In her own way, she loved ans cherished the children she brought under her protection. She just... had a hard time showing it. Blame her mother, who couldn’t look at her own daughter without seeing the tom who sired her. Blame her father, who was never there to pick up the pieces after her mother passed away. Blame those that broke her heart time and time again before she met Allerick. Whatever the cause, this was tge effect: A distant, scientific love, where testing came before affection and training before vows of adoration.
Each time, though, a seed of regret over her actions and a desire to be more than what she allowed herself in the eyes of her children, adopted and blood, bloomed a little more each day. If only it were that simple.

The odd looking she-cat was watching the clouds with a rather bored expression, appearing as though she were a sleepwalking zombie, disguised as a cat. Or rather, that's what she would joke about, anyways. Mostly, she just looked as if she were gaining a possibly killer headache and an ache to stretch her legs. And then, with the movement stirring at the corner of her eye, she straightened as quick as a whip and watched the other feline. It would be an understatement to say that she looked as if she were about to start some trouble; which wasn't out of character for her. She was the harbringer of annoying conversation, and flirtatious remarks.
Leaping down, the pale colored Lyoki landed very neatly on the ground and began a slow and leisurely trot towards her. She was too stupid to consider the consequences of talking with a cat who probably held more position and title than her. But, again, she was too stupid.
"Evening," she greeted in her smoky voice, her ears flicking forward as she caught up to pace with the other cat. She observed her for a few moments, before a wide smile spread across her face. "You look like your thinking about something. Me, I can't really say the same. Usually if I think too hard, it only leads to more trouble. So I like to keep my brain free of those. My name's Sabyl, by the way."
Whatever kind, generous, amiable she-cat she believed herself to be, being approached by a stranger – and one who believed herself to be close enough to the Madame of the Inei family to speak to her so informally – was enough to tip her back into her cold, judgmental persona. Turning a gaze cold enough to turn one to stone on the she-cat, she lifted her chin, rising herself to a taller stature.
"If I were thinking about something, dear, wouldn't that be enough of a deterrent for you to keep your brainless chatter to yourself?" Despite her warm tone, there was a threat underlying her words. If she didn't respect her own reputation so much, that underhanded threat would have been an overhanded slap.
"Evidently, you keep your brain free of logic most days." She eyed the she-cat up and down, sneering and turning her gaze from her. "You may call me Madame Inei."
