Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Everything was going blurry. It was getting harder and harder for Maplepaw to focus, but she should know the way back to camp by heart. One paw in front of the other, she just had to keep that up. One very wobbly paw, in front of the - nope, that wasn't in front, was it? Not even a second later, Maplepaw stumbled, barely able to catch her balance again. Focus, Maplepaw. Focus. If she collapsed now, she would be dragged back to the medicine cat den, and her promotion to warrior would be delayed again. Her brother was already a warrior, she had to prove herself so that she could join him. Shaking her head, the small, limp mouse in her jaws jiggling with the movement, she set her fuzzy gaze back on the trail to camp. She was almost there. She just had to ignore that the movement of her head had made things worse. She could do this.
Once more, shaky step after shaky step, Maplepaw ever so slowly creeped closer to camp, only the sound of her heartbeat filling her ears.

Only a few moments passed after leaving camp that the scent of another caught his attention. Risingpaw wasn’t in any hurry and he didn’t feel particularly interested in knowing he was about to encounter another clanmate on this trail. He was just getting some fresh bedding for Dovecaper, this wasn’t that time-sensitive of a mission. It was only once the other apprentice appeared in his field of vision that he bounded forward in a hurry. “Maplepaw!” He called as he ran up to her. Something seemed off with the she-cat, like she could barely keep going. “Are you okay? What’s wrong?” He noticed her mouse a second later, but all it did was confuse him more.
The voice came as a shock to Maplepaw, and it took everything she had to keep her grip on the mouse. Slowly, she moved her head to look at Risingpaw, struggling to make out who it was through her blurry vision. This wasn't good. Why couldn't he just let her be, so she could get back to her bed sooner? Wait, he had said something, hadn't he? What was it that he had said? Maplepaw couldn't quite remember, her head was too foggy. "I was hunting," she said, forgetting about the mouse in her jaws that muffled her words. Maybe it was better that she kept it, then he wouldn't notice anything off in her voice. Hopefully he would leave her alone, maybe he had just wanted to know what she was doing. Leave, please. It was getting hard for her mind to form thoughts. Sleep, she needed some sleep.

She might as well have said nothing because 'hunting' didn't account for why Maplepaw looked like she was a second away from collapsing. "Okay," he said, frowning at the predicament. "Here, let me help you." Stepping around her, he stopped at her side and looked down. Even though they were both apprentices, he was larger than some warriors and his long fur only emphasized it. "Lean against me, alright? You're not looking too good."
Maplepaw narrowed her eyes, trying to focus on the words that Risingpaw had spoken. Lean against him? Why would she do that? She was fine. "I'm fine," she said, slowly shaking her head. The memory of the world swaying last time she did the action was still vivid, so she figured the slow movement would work better. It did, a little. "I... I just need sleep," she replied. She could only hope that he wouldn't try dragging her to the medicine cat den, it was really starting to feel like she was making the place her new home. Just a little further.

"Don't be stubborn. A gust of wind could knock you over right now," Risingpaw replied with a weak laugh, but there was a warning in his tone. He didn't want to drag her back, especially when she was so close to camp already, but any cat could see she was fighting a losing battle. The question was why? She was hardly fit to answer at the moment though, so he settled with studying the she-cat with a questioning scowl. "If you don't want my help, then at least take a break. Your mouse won't go anywhere, I promise."
