Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
( Note: Only SunClan cats/SC Initiates can see and hear the Sun God. Everyone else will just see them talking to empty air. Open to SunClan cats/initiates and the captured/conquering clans. )
Everyone else seemed to be congregated there, so why not the Sun God? Sure, there was only a pawful of cats who could actually see that he was there, but he was bored! Besides, the snow annoyed him. It melted wherever he walked, and put out the flames that wreathed through his fur. He understood why water needed to exist, he supposed, yet he still had half a mind to torch the place and see how much effort it took to turn the territory into desert. Warm sands as far as the eye could see seemed much more pleasurable than the white expanse of everywhere but the hot springs.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are! Don't be shy!" He called out in the prisoner's camp, searching for the SunClan cats or Initiates who might've heard his call.
Glowstar's head lifted up and her eyes sparked with light immediately. She made her way over to the Sun God and noticed the melting snow in his path and immediately sat next to him, what cat didn't want to be next to a walking sun?
"Hey big man in the sky! Wow, you get to finally meet my clan, this is so cool! Hold on," Glowstar turned her head back to the rest of camp and called out to her clan, "Hey DayClan, this is the Sun God of SunClan. He's super cool! He's massive, I mean look at him he could crush my skull if he wanted to, he's amazing! Anyways, I really encourage everyone to meet him because he's way cooler than Foxstar and you shouldn't let her bad behavior discourage you away from getting to know him."
Soaringdawn could barely see the Sun God and apart of that troubled him. He didn't want to join SunClan, but at the same time he wanted to believe for Whitemagnolia and also to further explore other religions, but his loyalty as an emissary and to StarClan prevented him from seeing more than an unusual light. But being in the rank of the supernatural he decided to take Glowstar's word on it... At least he hoped she wasn't going delusional on them.
The deity laughed at her enthusiasm, a grin on his face, partially due to her naivety as to who could actually see him. "I appreciate the greeting, but they can't see me. All they see is random snow melt where my paw touch." And the only reason they could notice it was because it was something happening to the world around them, and not just his presence. "Only SunClan cats or the initiates can see me. Most of your clan probably just thinks you're crazy." To be fair, that was still up for debate, but that was a discussion for another day. "Convince them to become Initiates, and then they'll be able to see me properly."
Of course, there was some exception, such as if he chose to reveal himself to them, but that was a rare occurrence. All the same, he did note Soaringdawn, who seemed to understand he was there, more than just relying on Glowstar's word, but wasn't one of the Initiates as he recalled. Interesting.
"Oh, I mean they'll honestly be fine not seeing you. We have a lot of outsiders so they don't always see StarClan at first and most of our newest warriors have experienced going from seeing nothing to see StarClan to seeing nothing again," Glowstar this time leaned in closer to him and whispered so only the Sun God can hear, "But I can't have them initiate on the chance that they fail. We're kind of a no kill our own clanmates. Part of the warrior code gimmick."
Glowstar moved away from him, "Buuuuut the cats that are initiating are just super happy to explore other cultures, I bet you'll love them. I mean, one isn't happy, but the rest are!"
She half wondered if the Sun God knew about her stealing Amity/ Wispyfeather's kits and taking them to Renegade Regime. On the other half she also didn't care. If a cat in DayClan wanted to worship the Sun God that was cool by her, but unlike Foxstar she would never force her whole clan to switch religions. She never even forced the outsiders to believe or learn about StarClan. It wasn't DayClan's way.
Amber and Luna stared up at the Sun God through big eyes. Amber nudged Luna, "I told you, they wouldn't believe in this guy if they couldn't see it. How often does StarClan visit us!" "You literally have a guardian angel from StarClan, Amber. Like you saw the guy everyday," Luna said confused, but was still happy to see the Sun God, still she felt unworthy about joining SunClan. She wasn't sure if she could meet their standards or got along with everyone, she would just be a burden so it felt wrong of her to consider.
Luna glanced around if anyone else was just as curious as them.

The tom leaned down to whisper back in her ears. "You're skilled enough to truly convert them, you know." The Sun murmured, a dangerous twinkle to his gaze as he answered. Oh, he knew full well what she'd done. Technically, since Amity was an initiate, the kits were his by virtue of SunClan's code, but knowing her, and Foxstar, he expected little to come of it. For that matter, he didn't think Glowstar would brainwash her own clan, but he could hope, couldn't he? "I'll be the judge of that, soon enough." He added with her last comment, knowing full well that if the trial was done today, many would fail.
Distortednarrative, who at this point, had simply chosen to call herself Teller as an Initiate, looked up to the tom with a certain curiosity. So, this was the Sun God. Cool. He'd be a wonderful addition to her stories.
The Sun turned ever so slightly to beam at Amber, though there was a certain displeasure as his gaze came across Luna. Despite being warned, she'd chosen a name to honor the Moon, and he had half a mind to strike her down for the insult, but chose not to, for the moment. She seemed more worried about fitting in than she seemed disloyal, for the moment. Amber, on the other paw... was interesting. She could fit in well, but he also wasn't convinced of her loyalty, not yet. "Amber, Luna." He greeted them, managing to keep his tone even when speaking to the latter she-cat. "I hope you are enjoying your time as Initiates." It might've been startling, for him to know their names, even with them being so new, but not altogether surprising. He was a deity after all.
Glowstar's smile widened at the Sun God's gaze, shifting into that genuine, contagious grin tilting her head slightly in a yeah I could help you, buuuut.
"I totally am! I actually just made a new friend, his name is Lovepaw, I mean, weird name, but like whatever, he's still pretty cool," Amber said, deciding not to mention the amount of fun she's had bullying around literally everyone in her clan since being made an initiate. Was that frowned upon? She wasn't sure.
"My friend gave me bad advice on names so I really just want to die right now," Luna admitted, but the name wasn't entirely why she was feeling down, but it definitely didn't help.
Illuminatedpaw wanted to rebel, but she didn't think it was smart to. At the same time it was tearing apart their friendship. And now her siblings were kidnapped and no one liked her. Her clan mates didn't like her for becoming an initiate and then SunClan didn't look at her with as much interest as they did with Amber. She wasn't good enough for either clan and the name Luna which sounded pretty to her wasn't good because she hadn't been entirely aware that they were moon haters or whatever. Who could even guess that!?
Burningstar had come to check on the prisoners and see how they were holding up. While she knew Foxstar’s true intentions for these cats, she still wanted to do her best to at least try to limit the pain and suffering.
Her ears pricked up and the ginger she cat turned when Glowstar spoke up. Sun God? That”’d be-
There was no one there just... Glowstar and a few DayClan cats that seemed to be looking towards something. The NightClan leader moved closer even trying to squint to see if she could see whatever they were seeing. She moved around them in a wide circle before coming up to Glowstar.
Then she noticed the snow melting a little. Her ears pricked and interest made her lean forwards towards the source. “So the Sun God is right there?” She asked Glowstar gesturing with her paw. She was wary of stretching it too far. She didn’t know what would happen if she was too close to the invisible entity.
"Yes," Glowstar said, still looking at the Sun God before turning her head in excitement to see Burningstar.
She supposed it wasn't hard for her to believe that there was a Sun God. She fought real demons from the Dark Forest before, killed a deity in Toxicity, as a kit she believed in the blind protector for a time, and learned about StarClan through WaterClan and DayClan. She didn't have to open her mind much to believe in him. Once a cat saw that demons walked among them it wasn't hard to believe in the rest. However she had never followed any particular religion. Though she supposed technically she didn't follow SunClan's either considering she didn't pray, to her actions would always speak louder than words.
"But. Even if I believe in him and see him, I don't want to push that onto my clan. Just like how no one in DayClan pushes StarClan on any outsiders who don't understand it. Though I think I basically sold my soul to a dark forest cat... Anyways what are you up to?"
Burningstar nodded lowering her paw squinting again, as if the lack of seeing the god was simply an issue with her eyes. But after a minute she sighed rubbing her head, getting a headache from trying.
“I understand that, i’m Trying to make NightClan more like that, I find other religions fascinating to be honest, though I guess that’s not enough to see other deities.” She said looking towards where the Sun God stood. “I mean, I do believe in StarClan, but I like to think I’m open minded. But I guess not.” She said.
She really would’ve liked to see what the god SunCkan now worshipped looked like, but she supposed it was probably for the best she couldn’t. It sounded like from what she’d gleaned from Foxstar seeing their god was just further enticing the cats from DayClan and SpringClan (along with promises of a better lot in life), to their deaths when they failed SunCkan’s joining process or initiation.
But, still it would’ve been cool... if it wouldn’t mean her death... or deaths? She didn’t want to think how she’d get executed as a leader with nine lives.
The Sun God gave a vaguely disappointed pout, the expression more teasing than it was actually sad. He'd expected as much, and he could allow the exception. They weren't initiates, and weren't bound to the same laws or beliefs, and though he'd love to spread his influence, he could accept that not being the case, for the moment. It wasn't like SunClan was lacking for members.
A smile flashed across the diety's face once more at Amber's reactions, the slightest bit of amusement on his face at Luna's despair. He knew well enough what Amber was doing, and to be quite honest, it didn't bother him. Unlike some of SunClan, she had it right. They were the chosen, the cats who followed the Sun God, and they should show their superiority at every opportunity. He'd appreciate a bit more loyalty to SunClan itself, but there was time for that. "You're having fun, that is good. And don't worry, Luna. If you pass initiation, I'm sure you'll get a fitting, SunClan appropriate name. I would take this as a lesson not to trust those whose hearts don't lie with SunClan."
"Maybe only SunClan cats can see the Sun God. Like unless you're attempting to join or have joined you can't see him type of a thing?" Glowstar thought aloud with a shrug watching the two apprentices, "I don't think those two are coming back with me. If DayClan gets out of here. I can see it in their eyes. That look of belonging and hope. They've decided this is their home, I just hope they still visit their families."
Luna smiled a bit at that, "Thanks. I guess my sister and I are just really scared about our initiation. Maybe I'll try to make some friends like Amber and I'll be able to fit in better."
"Aim high, but don't aim for the impossible," Amber said back to Luna with a sharp grin, she couldn't help it, but because it was her honest opinion that Luna wasn't ready. It was why she was working extra hard to ensure some of the SunClan apprentices helped lead her in the right direction even if it took a bit of force, "Hey, um. I think Vixenpaw would be a great initiate. I've been teaching her to hunt, she's deaf, but she has a good heart so hopefully you'll see her here too."
Sure at first she started training Vixenpaw as a charity case, but Vixenpaw deserved more respect than that, she had the makings of a good warrior. They brought back five mice after their hunt. Just like Luna she just needed a push in the right direction.
Burningstar sighed, "Drat, well." She turned to the Sun God. "I cant see you, Sun God, and unfortunately while i'd love to hear your story and learn more about your religion that SunClan follows. I have to lead NightClan. I cant go through your initiation, since thatd mean id have to join SunClan..." she trailed off then turned to Glowstar, "Wait, youre still a member though since you can see the god... how does that work. By day you're glowstar by night you're Strik- im sorry the name Foxstar calls you by is a mouthful, im just going to use Strik for your SunClan name. But seriously youre technically," Burningstar gestured in the vague direction of SunClan's camp and then back to DayClan cats, "Juggling life in two clans?

The Sun God chuckled slightly, "I'm sure you'll be able to do so, Luna. If this is where your heart lies, then you shall fit in just fine." The tom seemed to ignore Amber's offhand comment, though he focused on her once more at her suggestion of a new Initiate. "All who are willing are welcome to join as Initiates. Those who we'd often overlook as weak or incapable are often those who surprise us the most."
At Burningstar's word to him, his head titled in the direction of the two older cats, though his words were directed to Glowstar, as she was the only one of the pair who could understand him. "As I said, all who are willing are welcome to join, whether they lead a clan or not. So long as you are loyal to SunClan, then it matters not whether you sleep in one of the clan's nests, or one on your own territory." The Sun God had never been the picky sort. So long as one was loyal to SunClan, and to him, then that was good enough. Living and training in another clan didn't sever one's connection to him or the clan he watched over, though some seemed to believe it was impossible to have a paw in two worlds.
