Magnoliablush carefully maneuvered the flower arrangement that she had created on either side of the entrance to the maze. She took her time making sure that every last detail was the way that she wanted it to be. The white fressia sticking out at in even intervals from in between the brightly colored reds and oranges. A lot of the ash had been scrubbed away out of the sandstone, but the scent of soot and burnt flesh still clung to the area. The little flower arrangement wouldn't be enough to completely mask the scent, but it was a start. She fully intended on making arrangements like this for every den in their camp, and to line the narrow pathways with flower petals if she could find enough of them in bloom. Finally satisfied, she took a step back, head tilting slightly to the side and taking in the site at different angles strawberrycupid

It was a miracle she even found flowers blooming. But spring was getting closer everyday, and Duskfable couldn't be more grateful. He had mostly been sheltered from the horrors since he was not in any shape to fight. Even as he grew older, his symptoms only stayed the same, a few getting worse. The calico looked around the flower lined path wildly, feeling his legs threatening to give out from under him. All his movements were exaggerated, leading him to jump wildly over the path. He was so worried about ruining the path he accidentally bumped into Magnoliablush. "Oh sorry Magnolia. It--It looks real good."

Magnoliablush turned around to snap at the cat that had bumped into her, but seeing who it was she held her tongue. If he had bumped into her, she doubted that he had been in control. Besides she had managed to let go of her petal so that the arrangement wasn't messed up. She let out the breath she didn't know she had been holding "Its not your fault, bless your heart" she sat down, wrapping her tail neatly over her paws, as she smoothed out her fur where he had ruffed it "Im glad that you like them. I wish all the dens could have a matching set, but this was all the flowers that we could find"

His eyes widened, ready for her to snap at him. It was known he was more than clumsy, that he wasn't quite right. And that Magnoliablush had a little of a temper on her. But he let out a sigh when she didn't, shuffling a little ways away so as to keep it from happening again. Duskfable was admittedly glad they weren't all over the camp, he could already see the kits knocking them all out of wack.
"Still sorry." He craned his head to the side, a soft pop of his neck letting him straighten it again. "I really like the pattern. But don't worry Magnoliablush. The Sun God will bless our lands again and then you can decorate the whole camp."

[Ok we can just let them bond <3] Magnoliablush nodded "I hope so, actually..." she paused tilting her head with a little smile "I have an idea of where to fine more but I don't want to go on my own. Would you like to acompany me?"

Duskfable was surprised, eyes widening briefly. He knew his cousin was a bit high strung, it was one of the reasons he tried to be so careful around all these flowers. If he messed them up, he may not hear the end of it. But to be invited to go look for them was something new, not that he was much of an asset. "S-Sure." He gulped, unable to say no to her.

Magnoliablush nodded, motioning for him to follow along "Im thinking that we can look near dayClan's border. There is a twoleg place there and they grow all sorts of flowers" the she cat was ready to go and find some more flowers to add to her arrangements. Normally she would have been more picky, but with so much to do she didn't have a chance to be to choosey. They needed all the extra help they could get in making the camp hospitable again

He was grateful to hear it was Dayclan. They were more tolerable to him than their other neighbors. The Sun God never came out at night, Duskfable rarely got his guidance then. Careful to not mess up the already placed flowers, he stood and nodded emphatically. "Sounds good t to me." Could he carry them without shredding them? He hoped so.

Magnoliablush nodded, getting to her feet to guide him out of the camp. Though she still looked rather down as they walked "Duskfable... cant I ask you a question?" she suddenly stopped in her tracks, turning to face him now that they were alone

Duskfable pranced behind her. Even if they walked the same path, it always looked so different. Enough to constantly draw his eyes around. Memories ran out of his mind like a river, so it was almost like looking at everything for the first time. He stopped in his tracks when Magnoliablush spoke, immediately going to her side. He blinked, "Sure. ... Is something wrong?" He asked, voice as monotone as ever.

"No, its nothing really" she replied trying to figure out the best way to figure out how to word this "Do you believe in true love?" she asked, instantly regretting it. It seemed like such a silly question to ask right now, but it was what had been weighing on her heart

Duskfable's ears drooped, still not fully convinced it was really nothing. But he got out of Magnoliablush's face long enough to try and get back on track before the question dropped. And the calico tom stopped mid-step, his head tilting back towards her and watching the color leave her face.
Did he? He wasn't really sure. He took a few tentative steps back, trying to come up with a good answer. "Uh yeah. It's one of the gifts we got from the Sun God after all." He briefly looked up, like he was looking right at his own brain, before focusing back on Magnoliablush. He still wasn't sure why she asked, and his mind raced for answers. Though the one he found left him more worried. "Someone isn't giving you a hard time, right? Or trying to force you into something you don't want?"

"No, nothing like that" she shook her head, trying to figure out how to say what was on her mind "It's just..." she shuffled her paws nervously "well I have been going on these blind dates, and even though they have all been nice I just haven't felt strongly about any of them..."she paused "They just don't compare to how I feel when I'm with..." she cut of the tom's name, a little embarresed by the tom that she had felt drawn to for so long "but aren't these blind dates supposed to help you find the one you are destined for?"

Yeah Duskfable would be no help here. He tilted his head in thought as she spoke. "I mean, I guess they are. Or at least who Bloodystar thinks would be good for you. I don't really know, he hasn't set me up on any." Not that he sounded sorry for himself. No one had really caught his eye. Romance was the kind of thing that went over his head, so it might have been for the best he got to watch from the sidelines.

Magonliablush sighed "I guess I shouldn't be complaing in front of you, huh cousin" she mused, before abruptly changing topics trying to spare him any hurt feelings "but roses would would look so great for the romance festival. I would love to mix them with some white Freesia, and maybe some daisys. Its just that finding flowers right now is difficult, much less enough of them to decorate the entire camp"
