It had been a while since Unseenlights had gotten to spend some time with her first litter, since taking on the responsibility of raising her brother's children as her own. The three kits were growing quickly, and were old enough to start eating some fresh kill and be watched by one of the other queens long enough for her to spend some time with her older children. She has asked them to meet her and Duskslayer out by the old ruins, to have a meal together and just talk like they used to do back to the regime. FaithJadieHoneystorm
Allaria was the type of she-cat who was never on time, that is, except for when her mother was involved. The dark furred she-cat was the first to arrive at the family gathering with her brother, Darkpaw, trailing closely behind her.
"Hi mom," She chirped, brushing her paint-free cheek against her mother's cheek in greeting, "I'm surprised you left the kits long enough to have lunch with us. They sure are growing quickly!"

"I'll always make time for you" she purred returning her daughter's warm greeting with her own "Its been to long since we got to sit down and have a meal together, especially after all the things that have happened lately" she moved back motioned at the meal that had been prepared. It wasn't anything fancy, but it would fill up the bellies of her small families "I want to hear about how all of you are doing, and I want you to be honest with me" she paused, her sightless blue eyes staring forward to the two siblings
"Well, since you're asked, I'm kind of over dad playing Priest Promised," Unseenlights could have guessed what Allaria was about to say: The young she-cat hadn't exactly been quiet about her displeasure in SunClan life. She was a free thinker and that was dangerous among the Chosen, "Aren't the little ones old enough to make the trip home by now?"

"Not quite, but soon" she chuckled, nosing her daughter's cheek "They might be ok on the journey, but it would be safer for them to wait until they are at least eating fresh kill as a majority of their diet" She wrapped her tail over her paws "As for you father, I believe he is growing tired of it to" she had seen the way his attitude had been changing lately, the dark circles around his eyes, the way he returned to their nest at night with all his muscles tensed.

Bravepaw was a bit late. Not necessarily because he wanted to be, more he'd lost track of time. It was a wondrous sight, despite his mother not being able to see it, that he was able to simply walk up to his siblings and mother without a single stumble. No cough, no fever, and his fur had come in nicely, a sleek silver with deep ribbons of cinnamon cutting through his pelt. "Sorry I'm late!" The amber eyed tom apologized, looking reasonably embarrassed that he'd let down his mom by being late. "What did I miss?"
"You just missed my hopes and dreams being crushed by a cruel reality. So, nothing new," Soaringpaw said in one breath, which caused her to yawn. Now that Bravepaw was here, she didn't really feel any need to continue the current conversation with Unseenlights anyway. The fact that she wanted to return to the Regime was so well known that sometimes when she brought it up she even annoyed herself, "How was your day?"

The apprentice nodded at her admission of dashed dreams. Yep, sounded about right for the day. He pawed at his ear, and offered a slight shrug. "Not sure there's much to say. Survived another day, training is going well, I wanna go home. 'Bout as good as it gets here."

"We are just waiting on Blindfaith and then we can get started" Unseenlights answered her son, just happy to have her kids finally getting to spend some time together. She nosed bravepaw with a gentle smile
"... I don't think she's coming..." Soaringpaw said after a long and drawn out awkward silence. The term "herding kittens" perfectly applied to her family, so she couldn't say she was surprised, "What did you want to talk about, Mom?"
