Vanilla and Ashtaroth were old school. They have been living in this city since before Primal Instinct had taken it over. They stayed when the rest of Absum Lux fell, and now the pair could only watch as their once home was destroyed yet again. The pair went from fighting the League to flying under the radar, just waiting for something. They didn't know what. There weren't many Absum Lux cats who were absorbed into the League, but they wondered what they thought. It was a new customary rule that prey be brought back to camp, but the pair got lucky and caught a bird that flew a little low. And rather than bring it back, the pair hid in a bush and shared it. A small slight, but it was all they had left. As long as they weren't found, it'd be fine.
"Welly well well," Came Innocentia's voice, high and annoying as a kits would be, almost doll like, too perfectly cute to be real.
Innocentia pounced through the bushes, briefly tangled in the branches before wiggling about and pulling herself free. She let out a slight huff at the branches declaration of war against her. Ultimately though she turned her attention back to the two felines in front of her, presenting them with a fake sugarplum smile, "I thought I tasted the scent of blood, but I think I had some sort of precognition of scenting your blood," Innocentia said with mock innocent confusion that quickly transformed into a low bratty hiss, "Which will be spilled on the floor in five seconds if you ugly butts don't start moving your tails! Go ahead, eat the rest of your prey, but don't come home until you've caught three more for everyone. I don't even like what everyone else eats, but I still bring food back," She said pointedly.

Vanilla almost choked on the piece of meat she just swallowed when she heard Innocentia's voice. Coughing like mad, she missed her getting stuck in the bush as Ashtaroth slammed his paw against her shoulder blades. She gasped for air when it finally went down the right tube, and casted a nervous gaze to the bird. It was that thing that gave them away. What were the chances?
Still, it was mostly gone. Already fairly skinny itself. Looks like nothing was taking this change well. Ashtaroth merely grunted at the threat. Vanilla couldn't help but admire how little he was threatened by anything. He was the kind of rock she couldn't imagine getting through everything without. "You can take the rest." He said, completely monotone before stalking off. She was almost relieved, at least until she realized she was faced with the proxy all by herself. Slowly, she pulled the bird carcass out of the bush and finished it off before beginning to dig it's shallow grave. Vanilla held back a question and the venom that would come with it. Under the radar, remember?
Innocentia let out a disappointed sigh, "It's fine, we'll leave it. I got no one to torment so I can help you hunt or gather scraps, we are a team after all. I just don't want you two to make a habit of just hoarding food for yourself. If someone's giving you problems and isn't giving you a fair share of food you just let me know. You shouldn't feel you have to do that," Innocentia said, but allowed the bigger fella, Ashtaroth to lead.

Vanilla was struck silent by Innocentia's words, not sure what to say until Ashtaroth was long gone. It was what she expected, but still. Hesitating for a moment, she slowly approached the Punishment proxy. A team? She never felt like she was on a team. From the moment Primal Instinct took over the remnants of Absum Lux, it felt like an us versus them scenario. And slowly those rebellious souls left or turned or died till it felt like she was all alone. Her head hung low for a bit as she thought, but as the form of Ashtaroth went in one direction, she began to walk in the other. "Why though? Why stick your neck out for the likes of us?"
