Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Smokesignal lounged off to the side of camp, glad for the warmth that the hot springs put off. The senior warrior had been thinking about his life as of late. It had been a rough year, first he lost his beloved mate and mother of his children, then his grandkits were made apprentices then warriors, and lastly he had been arranged a marriage with Blackthornfate. She was perhaps a bit prickly, but Smokesignal was determined to prove that he would care for her just as if they had decided to be mates on their own. Plus he adopted her kits, their father was unknown, but he did not really care to ask as they came about before the wedding. Regardless he would have accepted them anyways, he really did like kits and their endless excitement for life.
Dizzyspell brought over a few pieces of prey, knowing her dad liked the family to all get together for a meal. She had remembered this time and was surprisingly not the last to show up. The half-deaf warrior was well known in the clan for being easily distracted. It wasn’t her fault there was just so much going on all the time. She had held onto her childlike wonder of the world, clearly there was no reason to become a grumpy pessimist.
Seasplash came into camp, fresh off a border patrol. The youngest of Smokesignal’s children, she was perhaps the one who had her life together the most. Her mate, Cardinalglow and her had seen their first litter become warriors. She was extremely proud of her boys, though she did admit she wished they were still little. Yet she knew she would eventually have another litter, it was all but assured. After all Cardinalglow doted on her and she adored him. The pair was often seen together in their spare time; they had become mates in the traditional sense, no arrivages marriage for them.
Windsweptsoul greeted his mother with a soft purr and head butt on the shoulder before flopping down next to his grandfather. “Did you see the snow this morning?” When he had woken at dawn the sky had been covered in thick clouds. It was now sun high and the snowfall was only starting to lighten. He had planned to head out to see the territory, but had decided against it. It would do him no good to get lost. Instead he had found himself busy around camp, there was always something to do in the new camp.
Harekit darted out from the nursery to pounce on his father. He didn’t know Smokesignal wasn’t his real father and it wouldn’t matter anyways. Nuzzling into Smokesignal’s fur, he kneaded his paws in the plush coat. He couldn’t wait for his older siblings and nephews to show up. He adored them, they were just so cool in his mind. At this point in his life he was still amazed at everything, it was all so new.

Blackthornfate was oddly content, watching the kits dart around and her new family interact as she laid by Smokesignal's side. An odd year indeed. How she managed to make it back to Winterclan was a mystery she wouldn't let them solve, always saying whatever to throw another wrench or red herring into it. That was how she played. So when Windsweptsoul joined them, she offered him a small nod and nothing more. Wintrystar had arranged her marriage into this family. There was no family for her to introduce on her side. She didn't mind. Her little ones looked so much like those gone, she was surprised they could.
Bluekit trailed behind Harekit, slipping underneath legs with not as much success as his brother. Someone almost tripped over him, but that was nothing new. Bluekit just attracted trouble wherever he went, like he was a magnet for it somehow. For instance, he ran over to join those by the hot springs, but tripped on a rock. The entirety of his tail dipping into the spring led to Bluekit frantically shaking the water off, sending it cascading everywhere.

Dreamkit was lying on his side by the spring, his green eyes piercing into his reflection with mild interest. The ripples in the pool were hypnotizing and much more interesting to him than the family gathering. Only when his brother starting flinging water all over the place did the kit finally acknowledge those around him. He glanced away from the water briefly, his nose twitching from a water droplet rolling down it, and then slumped further against the ground with a small groan.
Jesterkit was a small tom, albeit one who seemed all too keen to cause problems... his innocent body language offset by a dangerous sort of grin as he crept up behind Harekit, only to pounce at him, dragging his sibling off of their adoptive father, back legs pummeling his brother's back rather harmlessly as his forelegs wrapped around Harekit's midsection.
Harekit let out a squeak as he was splashed with water. Turning around to see who did it, he instead was pounced on by another brother. Wiggling in Jesterkit's grasp he batted paws at his brother's face. No one was going to get hurt, but a bit wet was another matter as the duo rolled into the hot springs. Harekit's fluffy blue-grey pelt flattening down and giving him the appearance of a drowned rat.

As his siblings rolled towards him, Bluekit let out a squeak before darting out of the way, suddenly deciding to huddle behind his mother. He didn't wanna get in trouble for this... again.
