Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The dark tabby leaped on top of the rocks and scrambled down the other side, his white-speckled tail lashing from side to side as he dashed in pursuit of his prey. They raced toward the edge of the dock before the bird wheeled left, struggling to gain altitude with its injured wing, and Glitterreverence twisted nimbly around the corner. He might be small, but he wasn't going to give up that easily! His paws pounded hard on the dock as he prepared his strength for a final leap.
Then a shooting pain stabbed through his abdomen. He screeched in pain as his paws slipped away from him and he tumbled off the end of the deck and into deep waters.
Hopefulalfalfa pricked up his ears in alarm. A cat was crying out for help! The tom rushed forward immediately, panic filling him. He reached the water and spied Glitterreverence. Immediately, Hopefulalfalfa launched himself into the water after his clanmate. He paddled his legs as hard as he could and reached the other tom, latching his teeth into the other's scruff to keep him afloat.
(omg this is glitter's hard mode where he gets 'sick' too, you're making great choices today xD)
He jerked and flailing in the water, gasping for air as his mouth filled with salty water again and again on each wave. It was only luck that he managed to find enough air to breathe and stay afloat, but there was no way that he would escape on his own. He was too panicked, his breath coming in short and dangerous gasps as he choked and sputtered on salt.
Then someone grabbed onto him. "HELP!" he screeched, flailing even stronger now, his paws striking out at the water around him. "A FISH IS DRAGGING ME AWAY!"
Hopefulalfalfalfa struggled to stay latched onto his clanmate, breathing hard around the scruff. He mumbled around the fur in his mouth, "Calm down, son. You're making saving your pelt very difficult."
The voice finally broke through his panic and he realized it was a fellow warrior, Hopefulalfalfalfalfa, who was coming to help. He immediately went limp and became dead weight.
The dead weight was so much easier. He managed to get them back to the rocks. With an immense amount of energy, Hopefulalfalfalfalfa managed to begin pushing his clanmate onto a flat-ish rock. His hind legs were scrabbling against the rocks under the water to keep him up. "Get up there," he grunted, pushing with all his might.
He revived slowly, hesitantly reaching for the rock. Once his paws felt solid ground beneath, he was revitalized, and with new energy, Glitterreverence heaved himself up and onto the rock. He turned back to help Hopefulalfa. "Let me-" he stared, reaching for the tom's scruff, but a sudden pain in his side left him gasping again and he abandoned the effort.
