Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Oceanscent grinned at his cousin, it had been sometime since he saw Slip. She must have still been an apprentice when he was swept away. “How are you? What’s your full name?” He purred, rubbed against her. He nearly ignored his father fleeing, it hurt to not even be acknowledged by him. But at the same time he wasn’t shocked. It was just like his dad to run when things got to hard to deal with. Though it was set off by the fact that the rest of his family seemed happy to see him alive and well. GidgetGal
If a conversation could give a cat whiplash, this was as good as any. To be honest, Frenzy had lost track of what was going on exactly... she paused a moment to count.... three proposals ago. She'd been taken back by the sudden stepping down of Chim, just as surprised that he had taken the opportunity to propose, just as surprised that that created a ripple through the clan that seriously drained the group's single population. What in the world was going on?

Aviur expected as much, though he simply flashed Beestar a gallant grin, then spun to face a tom he didn't know, offering a proposal to him, mismatched silver and gold eyes peering at this stranger with curiosity. A smirk lit up his expression, and he gave Oak a slow, sly wink, as he slid over to the tom, dramatically brushing up against him. "With a proposal like that, how could I say no?" cookie
What was wrong with this Clan? Steepfall and Spiritpaw both shared that thought as, instead of talking about things that mattered, like why Chimerastar was stepping down and what that meant for SwiftClan, everyone was following the former leader's example and proposing to one another. For her part Spiritpaw didn't think it would be wise to stick around any longer. Glancing briefly from side to side, the black-and-white she-cat made her escape, following the same path that Chimerastar had. Steepfall, however, felt as if his feet were anchored to the spot.
The black-furred tom wasn't sure where Ophelia was, but he could feel her sky eyes on him. He imagined her waiting with bated breath for him to make a move like all the other cats in the Clan. It was certainly overdue; the two had been dating for nearly as long as he'd been in SwiftClan. Many already considered them mates, but they'd never done anything official like that, it was a topic that made Steepfall uncomfortable. He didn't know what a healthy relationship was like. His parents were separated even before he was born. So, uncharted territory.
But if Chimerastar could do it, so could he.
He looked around the clearing briefly until his eyes settled on her white-and-gray fur. Bolstering up some courage, he quietly made his way toward her, doing his best to keep a low profile as he did so. He had no intentions of making this some big scene and certainly didn't want any of her children to see him.
"Ophelia..." It was easy to start this conversation but Steepfall didn't know what to say next, so he fell silent for a few moments before finally gathering his bearings, "I.. Well, seeing as the whole Clan is following Chimerastar's-- I mean, Chimerahunt's example, I, uh. I guess we should finally make it official. What do you think?" pao
Brownie's jaw dropped. In all of the craziness, Cradlegrave was proposing to her? "Is this some sort of a joke?" She pulled away from him, squinting. "I sure do like you, and if you're making fun of me, I'll whack you, too." biyuu ☆彡
Cradlegrave blinked. "A joke? Nononono!" he spluttered, face flushing red almost instantly. "I was just, uh, coverin' my bases, preparin' for the worst...well, anyway. Let me try again." He coughed awkwardly. "Brownie, being with you for the rest of my life would make me the happiest tom on this side of the Mississippi River. Will you marry me?
"What's a missapeepee...?" some random kit in the background whispered.
Oak smirked right back. This tom was fascinating. He was bound to have a good time if he hung out here a while longer. "What's your name anyway?" Honeystorm
Brownie's body relaxed instantly as she listened to Cradlegrave. This wasn't a joke - it was just bad timing. Why was that so ridiculously cute? "Okay okay, stand up you silly. I don't even know how you're kneeling like that." Her mouth tipped into a smile and she surged forward, pressing her nose against his. "And yes. I've barely known you and I already find you more endearing than any tom I've ever met. Yes, Cradlegrave, I'll marry you!" biyuu ☆彡

”I love you.”
Those were the words that she had never thought would be meant for her.
Those were the words he had said to others but never to her.
Pygmyprawn was stunned to silence for a good, long moment. A mad blush had risen to her cheeks and ears. Heat flushed over her coat as several eyes stared, awaiting her answer. Well, that was until literally everyone and their kit started to propose to one another. For once, she actually accepted the insanity because it gave her time to process. It was difficult to swallow a proposal she was convinced would never come from the one she had always loved one-sidedly. Was this perhaps some really weird dream? It had all the components.
No, in a dream he wouldn’t have fled the camp. In a dream some beautiful cat would arrive and sweep him away while she watched from afar. She would pad after him to be there, and possibly fight someone, if they hurt him, but never to stand directly at his side.
Pygmyprawn managed to slip through the love-sick crowd and dashed after him. It didn’t take long to track the ginger tom down. It was her specialty after all.
“Chim?” Her voice was hoarse with shock and that annoying feeling of tears burning at the throat.
Jetfire gently pulled Secretkit back to her side, her face flushing at the sudden proposal... from a she-cat no less. Honestly it made her really uncomfortable as she tried to figure out how to reject Rustyheart without sounding like a jerk. Where had this proposal even come from? The two of them had never even talked, and if not for her relation to Chimerastar she wouldn't have even known her name "No" he face paling looking like she had seen a ghost, all the gentle words to turn her down that she had been trying to work on lost "I...I.." her ears flattened, pulling her kits backwards as she tried to retreat back into the nursery obviously flustered by this whole turn of events "Just no" Honeystorm

Rustyheart spluttered, already embarrassed, but this only made it worse. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to say that." And with that, she turned and bolted right out of camp, looking absolutely horrified with herself.
At least Aviur was having luck, the tom apparently had a fiance now. "Aviur, son of that ghost over there." He jabbed at the ghostly form of Vulcan poking at 'Beestar'. "What's yours, gorgeous?" cookie
Vulcan poked 'Beestar's' body. "So, is that a no on the proposal?" The ghostly tom questioned. woof
Rushingriver let out a startled giggle at the sudden onslaught of proposals. She cast her gaze out towards her kits and focused on Swiftriver and Speedhawk.
Speedhawk's head was tilted, the tom considering all the cats and their proposals. It seemed like everyone was proposing to each other.
Not entirely thinking about it he found himself seeking out Sliprabbit. He spotted her sitting by herself... looking kind of sad from his perspective.
Shuffling his paws he made his way over to her, in his mind wanting to assure her that cats still cared about her.
"Hey," He meowed sitting down beside her. "You know you've got me, right?" He asked. Meaning as a friend, and not realizing how it might've sounded in the context of all the proposals going down around them.
"Beestar" might have keeled over and died, but Swiftscout had run out to get fancied up with her looming wedding. When she returned she stood in front of Vulcan and patted tears off her face. "Yes, yes, yes! I thought you would never ask!" Honeystorm

Okay. Pineapplebreeze sat back and watched as suddenly the Skyclan camp exploded with proposals. For one, it was really disappointing no one had asked her yet. She was a catch. What the hell. But she also never figured Swiftclan was one to care about proposals. The golden she-cat scratched behind her head, waiting for someone to ask her. But it didn't happen. So, with a huff, she walked over to Swiftriver. "You never mentioned this tradition." She said with a laugh, bumping her shoulder against the other she-cat's, "Wanna join in? With me? You don't get a choice of someone else." Cleaver
It was an interesting domino effect. When the clan believed that even someone like Chimerastar could love, confess to the entire clan, what could stop them? It was a cacophony, the clan exploding in sudden confessions and questions. Beastsrefrain sat on the sidelines, next to Indigopastels. Like always. It was really the awkward situation he found himself in. Getting close to his brother's ex-mate, raising his kids. They had grown to be more than that, far more. Lionblood and Dawnfrost were good kids, he didn't know how they came out so well. But Indigopastels... was she more? Beastsrefrain was always bad with his emotions, must have been hereditary. He didn't wanna drag Jetclaw into his... problems. His reputation. He didn't wanna do the same to Indigopastels. She deserved better, they both did.
Be my mate
His gaze met her's. He couldn't look away if he wanted to. What. Really. Beast's throat closed up on him, choking on the words he wanted to say but wouldn't let himself. Loved him? She loved him? He taught her those things? It sounded too sweet, too saccharine to be real. He didn't think himself capable of that. Opening his mouth to say something, he shut it and finally broke the staring and looked down at his paws. The question are you sure? wanted to be asked, but he knew better. She was sure. But, was he?
The silence between them only stretched for a few moments, though it felt like hours. Beastsrefrain's breath shook as he sucked it in, and he looked up to lock his gaze with her's. "No. I mean, no, I do. I've felt the same for a long time. I just..." He stopped himself. Indigopastels knew him better than he did himself, "You've taught me how to be brave, to stand on my own and make my life the way I want it. And I want you in it, next to me. So yes, please." Maybe Littlestar was right, he was a coward. He needed to stop running. @samiam
Dawnfrost couldn't help the surprised expression on her face when Owlflight asked her to be his mate of all things. They had only talked a little back when he joined Swiftclan, and now this? The clan doing this at all was odd, but the others faded to the background as a blush deepened the orange points on her face. When the oddity of it finally felt comfortable, she shook her head. Dawnfrost couldn't... not yet. Not when she wasn't sure Owlflight even knew her parents and brother. "One day... ... maybe." She managed to get out. @atomheart
"What do you think you're doing Vulcan?" As if she were a ghost too, the long legged form of Lorelei approached the ghost and the she-cat he just proposed to. The walk to find Swiftclan was longer than she expected, but she figured he might want to know that Cassie was fine in Primal Instinct. He wasn't fretting around like she imagined, instead indulging in the sudden madness that surrounded them. Lorelei had heard enough, not giving Vulcan a chance to defend himself before sweeping his paws and kicking him down to the ground. Most couldn't even touch Vulcan, but Lorelei was an Eerie. She could do what she wanted. Including leaning down and lick the top of his head. Looking up to Swiftscout with a pout, her cheeks puffed out, "You're too late, cat I don't know. I licked him so he's mine." Honeystormwoof
Swiftriver was embarrassed. Pineapplebreeze had only just joined the clan, couldn't they be normal for just one moon? What was she going to think of them? Sudden proposals were bad enough, but it would be worse if the other she-cat realized half of these cats weren't dating before.
"You never mentioned this tradition."
Her ears pinned back and she avoided meeting her gaze as if it would kill her. "I-I," she began but cut off as Pineapplebreeze spoke.
Wait, a proposal?
Her head jerked up, eyes wide as she looked over at Pineapplebreeze, her whiskers skewed and flopping. "Me and you?" she asked. She loved Pineapplebreeze, but she didn't realize they were there yet, they were best friends and maybe dating, she hadn't really put a label on it, and ... "Yes, of course," Swiftriver purred. "I don't want anyone but you."
Oh thank God, Cradlegrave thought as he heard Brownie accept his proposal. His shoulders sagged in relief, and he moved closer to give Brownie a chaste peck on the cheek. "Sorry about the timin'," he murmured in her ear. "We can have a more private wedding, if you want. Wouldn't be surprised if we somehow got roped into a group weddin' too, though."

Pineapplebreeze laughed nervously as Swiftriver whipped her head around. Maybe she pushed it too far. "Yeah. Why not?" It was a fun little tradition. And besides... it wasn't like Pineapplebreeze didn't love Swiftriver. It was an odd relationship, mostly consisted of just hanging out with each other all the time. They didn't even call it dating, at least not out loud. But Pineapplebreeze had been wrestling with those feelings silently. It was all alien to her. Gee, she left behind her whole life to come be with one girl. Of course it was obvious. A mix of fear and excitement gripped her heart and then.
Yes, of course," Swiftriver purred. "I don't want anyone but you."
A wave of relief washed over her, it didn't feel real. "Really?" Her tail wagged behind her. Pineapplebreeze didn't let Swiftriver answer, leaning over and touching her nose to the other she-cat's. "Wow. World's not gonna know what hit them." She laughed. Cleaver

Jadie Ophelia was shocked but absolutely pleased. The she-cat had waited for him to make the final move, especially after she'd proposed they make it official that they start dating. It was nice to hear him ask, even if she had practically settled for them being mates without ever saying anything. "I think it'd be a lovely idea." Her words were spoken with a softness of a lover and a mother, one who had waited for this moment for a while but hadn't pushed for it.
Vulcan could only grin as he was bowled over, knowing instantly who it was who had done so, without even needing to look, and the ghost let out a laugh at her comment. "Sorry, Scout. I can't compete with that, she licked me first, guess the engagement is off if she's not gonna share." He replied, not exactly looking to upset by the fact Lorelei had claimed him for herself. "What are you doing around here, anyway, Lorelei? Come to ruin my fun?" woofstrawberrycupid
Dawnfrost couldn't help the surprised expression on her face when Owlflight asked her to be his mate of all things. They had only talked a little back when he joined Swiftclan, and now this? Owlflight nodded, a little relieved she did not want to become mates just yet. Frankly he had wanted to ask her if she want to perhaps see where things would go, but was afraid of offending clan customs. Perhaps he needed to figure out SwiftClan more before starting a family. He got the basics but things like this happened and he got confused all over again. It seemed anytime the clan got together things like this happened, last time it had been the death of Swiftscout upon her promotion to elder. Though now it seemed more likely she just passed out or something. Now upon the promotion of Beestripe to warrior, half the clan was proposing to the other half. He was worried what would happen when Beestripe announced his choice for deputy. Perhaps the sky would fall down or the clan would turn into statues or something. "I'm okay with that, honestly I like that idea better." He spoke, wanting to make it clear to her that he was not upset with her choice.

"This isn't... a common thing." Dawnfrost spoke quietly, feeling the talking and words around her, pushing against her, suffocating her. While she was glad Owlflight wasn't offended, she remembered all his questions about customs and stuff. Now he was going to think this was a thing they did or something. That wasn't good. Her mind raced a million miles a minute. Dawn lifted one of her paws to her mouth, biting on one of her claws. "You should... meet my family... before asking things like that." @atomheart
"No way." Lorelei shook her head. Even with siblings, she hated sharing what was her. Greedy even. She wanted Vulcan all to herself. It wasn't like any of them could lick him like she did. It must have been confusing why or how she managed to knock him over. When asked why she was even here, she tilted her head. "I had a feeling you were having fun without me. And I was right." The calico looked around the camp, to faces she didn't even recognize. "Oh and Cas is in Primal Instinct after you left them in Sun. They go by Acacia Blair or Cassie now."
