Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Whitemuzzle hello! My summerclan cat Orchiddrop is pregnant and unaware, and she's visiting Graythorn about her recent nausea. Sorry to drop a thread on you, but this should be a quick and easy diagnosis c:
Orchiddrop was a bit of mess, physically and emotionally. She was torn between Crow and Goldenshadow- between boldness and security, love and status, and she had yet to inform either of them of her predicament. And now she was constantly nauseous, which was throwing off her hunting and patrols, and hindering her overall thought process.
So she decided to visit Graythorn, whom she hadn't seen since he'd treated her facial wound upon her arrival to Summerclan. The once nasty cut was now a silver scar on her white fur, and the timid apprentice was now a full fledged warrior of Summerclan. "Graythorn?" She called out softly, poking her head into his den. "It's Orchiddrop."

No worries! I enjoy role playing! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Graythorn was busy sorting old, useless herbs from his stores. It was a good thing, he thought, that he had stocked up well before the killing frost and snows had come. To his left was the discard pile while the good leaves were on his right. He looked up when he heard a cat call his name.
He saw the young warrior, Orchiddrop, standing in his den's entrance as she announced herself. He remembered treating a wound on her face when she was just an apprentice and also remembered she was a little skittish. With that in mind, he tried not to be too grumpy. "Yes, what do you need?" he asked.
Orchiddrop moved farther into the den, drawing closer to the medicine cat with a faint smile- she remembered liking Graythorn while she'd recovered in the den, despite his propensity to moodiness. "I came to see you because I haven't been feeling well," she explained, sitting down and tucking her white tail over her paws.
"I've been nauseous lately, and sometimes a little light-headed. I was thinking maybe I ate a bad piece of prey or something." Orchiddrop was a talented warrior, but she was no medicine cat, and that was her best guess as to why she felt so poorly. "But I wasn't sure, so I wondered if you could check it out."

"Oh really?" Graythorn replied, raising his eye whiskers as he spoke. He came over to her and sniffed her breath then smelled down along her side from her shoulder to her hip. "Are you nauseated all the time or does it go away later in the day?"
“I suppose it fades over the course of the day,” she responded, trying to stay as still as possible. Her blue eyes swept idly over the piles of herbs, taking them in. “Still, waking up with the urge to vomit is no fun.”

Graythorn sat back and looked Orchiddrop in the eyes. Then with all seriousness he said, "I'm pretty sure I know what you got. Bad news is it'll last for about two moons and you'll have to move out of your den." Every once in awhile his grumpiness manifested itself in the form of teasing, a kind of sarcasm. Perhaps because he was usually in a foul mood, he liked to see others the same as he.
“Two moons?” Orchiddrop’s brow furrowed in confusion, trying to pinpoint what ailment would cause that. “And I would have to move? Where would I...?” Her voice trailed off as understanding lit her sapphire gaze, accompanied by disbelief and dread. He couldn’t mean... that would throw a wrench into everything when it was already so confusing. “There’s no way... I’m not...” The white warrior lapsed into silence again, unable to say the word.

Graythorn smiled not picking up on her displeasure. "You're going to have kits." Most she cats were pleased when they find out they're going to have kits and figured she was too. "You're not showing yet so I'd guess you're still early in your pregnancy, maybe half a moon. You can still keep up with your warrior duties until you feel the need to move into the nursery. I'd say you'd probably want to do that in a moon. Congratulations!"
"Thank you, Graythorn," Orchiddrop said calmly, quickly masking the turmoil that was ravaging her mind. "I should've realized it myself. I suppose I'll be back in a bit for a check-up." With that, she stood and left, barely maintaining her composure until she was out of camp and in the cover of the woods, where she could be alone to process the news.
