Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Plot Idea: Steepfall and Badgerpaw and Otterpaw go out for a bonding activity. Things have gotten pretty serious between Ophelia and Steepfall, and for such reasons, she's told her sons that she's dating the older tom. Now how do they take it? Well let's find out! But what about their dad? Did they ever think their bio dad was coming back for them? Or even thought about them? Ophelia hasn't really talked about him but the kits never really asked either. So do they even like Steepfall, for their mom at that and as their new stepdad? Or do they want their bio dad? Will this cause problems?
Setting: Just before the ceremonies where Badgerpaw will be promoted, post date interruption for Ophelia and Steepfall where Badgerpaw was clueless about what was going on, out fishing as a bonding activity and so the boys can learn how to do so since no one has taught them
"So... Badgerpaw..." Steepfall was sort of an awkward cat, especially around younger cats, he didn't really know how to talk to them. It hadn't been much of a problem for most of his life thanks to his RBF but Ophelia's kits had warmed up to him some and honestly it wasn't a bad thing. The two of them were getting pretty serious and, after growing up with an absent parent himself, he knew how important it was to have someone fill that void, "Are you excited about becoming a Warrior?"
Ophelia had bid them a good day as she'd watched her three boys leave camp for their bonding activity. It'd be good for them to get to know one another, especially now that she was openingly dating Steepfall. The she-cat was glad they were all trying, even if it was just for her sake.
Badgerpaw looked up at Steepfall from where he walked on the tom's left. "Sure! It'll be cool to get a new name and be able to go out on my own. No mentor or patrol needed!" He was excited, but mostly for the added responsibility than anything. It was like becoming a man, a grown up and he could better watch out for his mom that way so why wouldn't he be?
"You still have to be careful, you know. Wandering alone too much is what got me most of my scars," Steepfall said but his tone was gentle, he wasn't scolding Badgerpaw, just being honest with him, "I think you'll find that even after getting your Warrior name, not much will change, especially not in a Clan like SwiftClan. No one is ever really an adult."
