Chestnutheart found it strange to be sharing a den with another cat again that wasn't her patient.  She felt almost caged like the den was smaller now. She wondered if this feeling was why Amberbird has disappeared? While she adored her apprentice and felt a maternal protectiveness for him. She also felt the urge to get some alone time and what better way to do that then go out into the territory and try her paw at hunting. She set off on her little trip. Weaving through the trees trying to pick up the scent of prey which was harder than she thought. At last she was able to scent a squirrel. She watching from her hiding place as the small creature gnawed at a walnut. It was then she knew she messed up and should of stayed in the medicine cat den. It a split second she went from watching the peaceful creature enjoy its food to watching a large crow dive bomb the animal. She was unsure of what it was after but she was traumatized when she watched the crow squawk at the rodent. Then proceed to give it a swift peck to the head. As the squirrel squeaked back at the oversized bird.
