Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Wispyfeather had given birth to a litter of seven and SunClan had refused to allow Snowprince near her during that time. However when Wispyfeather had lied curled up with her kits she had fallen asleep as every queen did after a tiring pregnancy. Then when she awoke they were gone, SunClan searched for them and they were nowhere to be found. She still suspected SunClan took her kits, that they weren't serious about Wispyfeather joining their clan and took the kits from her. Now Snowprince was finally able to see her and she had to tell him. Her dark silvery tabby head rose when she heard pawsteps approaching, "Snowprince?" She called out.
The white-furred Scottish fold's ears would have perked up at the sound of his mate's voice if they weren't folded over in a manner typical for his breed. The pawsteps increased in speed as he trotted over to his mate, golden eyes softening as he gazed at her. "Wispyfeather! I missed you," he purred.
Wispyfeather felt like she had been turned to stone up until now. She had lied curled up in the nursery ever since her kittens were taken from her hours after their birth. Everyone claimed to not know where they vanished to. Her neck felt stiff as she nuzzled into him, a sad smile wore thin across her lips and she licked him across the cheek, "The kits were stolen Snowprince. Everyone in SunClan is looking for them. They were stolen hours after they were born."
She looked at him, but lost the strength to stare into his eyes and let her had fall back down miserably into her nest.
"Stolen?" The color would have drained from his face were he not already white as snow. "But...but how? Were there no guards? No one ensuring the safety of a litter of newborn kittens? What is this Clan if it can't protect its most fragile and precious lives?"
"They think it was an inside job, someone they could trust, whether it was SunClan or SpringClan, they believe someone among us took them. All we know is that there were guards roaming nearby and no unfamiliar scents were found. No one suspicious was spotted. They're looking into their own warriors, but part of me wonders if it could have been a SpringClan cat somehow hiding them out. I mean how could they not have caught the thief by now? Unless SunClan's lying and they do have our kits..." Wispyfeather said, but paused for a moment, "However... I do remember waking up, just for a moment that I could have swore I scented NightClan. I thought I was still dreaming, I was just so tired and fell back asleep."
NightClan? It didn't make sense to him, but then again, nothing about this situation did, and he trusted his kits' mother. "I think you should trust your instinct. There's no way you could have scented NightClan unless there was a NightClan scent around. Do you know if there are any SunClan or SpringClan cats that are originally from NightClan?"
"Well no, but there are some NightClan guards, but I don't see them as much as BrookClan and SunClan's guards. Maybe a NightClan guard stole them. No SunClan cats would suspect it because their so rare to come by. It must have not been premeditated though, it seems like a spur of the moment thing considering there weren't any NightClan cats snooping around here before. Snowprince, you need to go to NightClan and demand Burningstar to investigate. Burningstar seems reasonable, plus they listen to the warrior code like us. They have to respect searching for any missing kits," Wispyfeather said.
His face was bleak, a dark expression crossing it. "Burningstar had better do something about it. I'd fight all of NightClan if it meant getting our kits back," he said. "But do you think she'd really listen?"
"Yes, you could bring Eclipsepaw with you and go over there and she'd have to give them back... I have to believe that our kits aren't really all gone," Wispyfeather whispered the last part as her shoulders sank, she looked full of despair.
The sound of paw steps outside their den could be heard as Glowstar entered, "Snowprince, I heard of what happened. I've had kits taken from me when I had a litter long ago, I'm so sorry. I was hoping I could take you on a walk. Wispyfeather needs to stay here in case they do return with your kits. After all the kits would be starving for milk and she's already pushed herself so much."
She leaned her head to the side, a silent signal for Snowprince to follow her.
"They're not gone," the snow-white Scottish Fold said firmly, giving one of Wispyfeather's ears a lick.
His yellow eyes turned to Glowstar. Though he wished he could just blindly blame the incident as something preventable by the leader, Snowprince knew that with the circumstances surrounding them, almost anything could have happened. "I'll be right back," he mewed softly to his mate before tentatively following Glowstar, looking back once as if making sure Wispyfeather was still there.
