Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Plot: Family thread between the Golden trio and their mates and kits if they're student age. Dappledglacier - racer, Cloudywinter - pao, Flickeringflames - Nova, Emberbrand - Cleaver, Silverfury - Jadie, Enchantedwinter - Phantom
Cloudywinter had arranged this day for them all. A nice outing to the Sapphire Springs for the whole family. It'd been a while since they could all catch up and hang out with one another. Especially with everything that's been happening and the move and anything else that's come up in the last few moons. She'd made sure they all had this day off from patrols and hunting groups and training, just so they could have the day together. It was known that teh springs here were safe to bath in, and they'd recently, thanks to her mate, found out the ones in camp were safe as well.

Dappledglacier arrived soon after her sister, having left her newborns in the care of one of the other queens for a little while so that she could attend. They would be old enough to open their eyes before to long, but she still felt guilty leaving them for the first time. She hadn't planned on leaving them until hey had started to eat solid food, but her sister had convinced her that they would be ok for long enough to have a small excursion. They wouldn't really remember her absence, and once they opened their eyes finding time to get away would be even harder

Flickeringflames could not have been more nervous. The warrior had to hold her tail between her paws because of how much it was twitching. Even now her tail tip flicked back and forth as her nerves built up. She's only ever heard of Cloudywinter's siblings, and Flickeringflames wasn't even sure if they'd like her or the fact that she was a she-cat and not a tom. But the gods chose this marriage for her and Cloudywinter, so surely they'd have to respect that... right? She had been prepping for this with her brother ever since Cloudywinter had suggested the trip. Talonstrike just told her to be herself but... not fully.
Keep your snide remarks to yourself, little sister. Be respectful, calm. You'll want to make a good impression with these two.
Flickeringflames could do that. She was sure she could. After all, how hard could it be? The dark chestnut she-cat had stuck close to her mate, but not too close. Flickeringflames didn't want to suffocate her poor wife with her presence. She quickly straightened up the moment Dappledglacier arrived. The warrior swallowed quickly as she glanced at her mate, waiting for her to greet her sister first before she said anything to the queen
Emberbrand arrived shortly after his mate purely by coincidence; they hadn't planned to come together and it was just luck that had them here at the same time. Resplendent in his orange-sparked dark brown coat, he had taken the time to neatly groom his coat before arriving, but the large catch in his jaws was the prize he was proud to show off. A massive rabbit he'd brought just for them to enjoy, a sign of his gratitude for the invitation, though truly he could not have cared less if he didn't get to join this gathering today. These cats were his mate's family, not his.
Still, he offered a charming smile as he set down the prey before Cloudywinter and Flickeringflames. "I brought something for everyone to eat, I do hope you haven't already."

Dappledglacier's ear flickered at the sound of her mate's voice, a slight smile on her face. Though she held no love in her heart for the tom, thus far he had held up his end of the bargain. It was no secret that the two of them were only together because of the arranged marriages but at first glance it was difficult to tell. The two of them looked like a proper couple on the surface, supporting one another whenever they were in public. It was only more...subtle... hints that showed that this wasn't the case. The way the maintained a respectful distance, the formal tone they used with one another, and the lack of warmth between them "Thank you Emberbrand, that was very considerate of you. I'm sure it will be delicious." She praised, glad that he was taking this meeting seriously even though it really had little to do with him other than keeping up appearances.
Silverfury arrived with Rosemarypaw at his side, clearly he had been spending his free time with Dottymask and their kits while neglecting Enchantedwinter as he so often did. Rosemarypaw, upon seeing her aunts up, darted ahead of her father and slid part way down the incline, coming to a halt inches from Emberbrand's nose, "Hi guys! Daddy said we were going to the Sapphire Springs, I'm so excited!"
"Manners, Rosemarypaw," Despite Rosemarypaw being a rather large apprentice aged cat, Silverfury picked her up by the scruff like a kitten and sat her down at a reasonable distance from all the rest. She didn't struggle and was actually purring, it wasn't often that Silverfury picked her up like that!
"So all we are missing is Enchantedwinter?" Silverfury asked, looking from cat to cat. He sighed. Had he forgotten to tell her?, "Let's just go, I'm sure she'll... catch up."

Dappleglacier smiled are her niece came tumbling down towards them "Hello Rosemarypaw" she greeted warmly, far more nice to her than she would have been to many of the other younger cats in the clan "She is your..." she trailed off shrugging her shoulders not finishing the thought aloud "You are right, I'm sure she will catch up later"
"Hi Dappledglacier," Rosemarypaw had calmed down since her arrival. She gave herself a quick once over to make her thick, fluffy fur lie flat, then turned her dark eyes to her aunt. She really was a beautiful little she-cat, exactly what you'd expect to see when looking at a pureblood WinterClan she-cat, it was easy to be proud of her, "Aww, you couldn't bring your kits? I guess they are kind of small..." racer

Dappledglacier smiled "Don't worry, As soon as they are old enough to play you will be the first to know" she chuckled. It would be good for her kits to have some older cousins to teach them "I'm sure that they will be eager to spend some time with you"
